Yesterday, Texas looked the best out of any of the top 5 teams, putting a BUTT WHOOPIN on poor New Mexico St., 66-7. It's been all about Michigan and Miami and all that, but don't be surprised if Texas runs the gauntlet and takes the Big 12, going on to New Orleans. Take a looksie, fellas. You might not see it coming...

Nope...won't happen. Oklahoma will beat Texas (again) because Mack Brown couldn't out-coach an 8-year-old.

K-State v. Marshall = Rout

"Not so fast my friend."

Too bad this appears to be a weaker Marshall team than usual this season but a rout isn't a lock.

Lee Corso says, "Not so fast my friend."

The last time K-State lost a non-conference game at home: September 23th, 1989

41 wins in a row against non-conference opponents in Manhattan, Kansas

The last time KSU lost any non-conference game was in 1992.

Marshall gets stomped against most I-A powerhouses.

KSU 55, Marshall 10

Where did they say there were gonna lose? And 55-10? Your kidding yourself with THAT defense no way K-State holds Marshall to 10 points. Marshall played at Virginia Tech last year and lost by 14 which isn't exactly a rout. They won't win but I wouldn't lump them with Troy St. and I-AA team.

They scheduled USC when USC wasn't that good.

So?

When they schedule bad teams, they're bad

When they schedule teams that turn out to be good, they're bad

What kind of opposition do you want K-State to face?

Give me list of teams

Just a caution: Due to the desire to not fuck over the rest of KSU sports by traveling so much in football, it will be hard to find a team who could want to play one game in Manhattan or just a home-and-home. Money doesn't fucking grow on trees.

KSU's first Big 12 opponent is Texas.

and Auburn is OVERRATED. Come on, who's the crackhead who said the War Fucking Eagle would win the national title?

Kansas State always chokes also, and they end up in the Alamo Bowl or something. They can be #2 in the nation (never #1 as far as I can remember) as late as the week before conference championship games, but they'll lose THAT WEEK, fall out of the conference championship, and end up ranked #5 in the Big XII or somewhere around there. They always start strong, but completely lose it in mid-to-late November.

whpever said 42-28 is w whippin is crazy it is only 14 points..... and K.State and UCLA and Tennessee(my team) switched around in 1998 and all were no.1 at one time i think. and TN WON the BIG ONE

Roy Williams cannot win the game by himself.

No, but with help from Chance Mock, Cedric Benson, B.J. (the other WR), and the Longhorns D', they can.

I'm not saying UT is going to be in the National Championship, but it ain't impossible for them.

What about an SEC team like LSU or Tennessee? They don't have to play 4 Top 10 teams. Just a good team. That will get them more prepared for big games in conference.

Playing an easy schedule (Texas is in the same boat) really leaves no room for error. They lose to Oklahoma or Colorado they're pretty much eliminated from National Championship contention, because their strength of schedule isn't good enough.
