I liked their Judgment Day match alot but my favorite is their ladder match. Everything about that match was simply awesome (aside from some of the very slow climbing). It had some great spots (missed headbutt, liontamer on ladder) but I liked how it was kept simple and had good drama and a good crowd. What do you guys think was their best or is your personal favorite?

Well, RR01 is the best ladder match ever....but I prefer a straight wrestling match, so Super J Cup 1995.

too much blownspotness in the jcup match for me. the ladder match is the only wwf one they really got a proper amount of time for. and it's the best match on my favorite ppv ever. so i'll go with that one.

I just remember that match being pretty damn good. I haven't watched WWE in years so I don't know about the others. I remmeber seeing the ladder match, couldn't rate it though.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but I wasn't a huge fan of the ladder match. Sure, Benoit and Jericho are two of my faves but I feel they put on better bouts when no gimmicks are included. I think it hinders their performance more than it helps.

Personally, I was always a big fan of the Fall Brawl 96 match. Jericho had just shown up in WCW a few weeks prior, Benoit was red-hot, and the crowd was uber pro-Horsemen. A very entertaining "Before They Were Superstars" kinda match.

I've always wanted to see the J-Cup bout. Maybe someone will put it on Kazaa at some point.

Ah, the Benoit/Jericho series, one of my favorite series ever. Before, I would say the ladder match, no doubt. But after seeing their Super-J Cup match, it's a close race. I still say the ladder match though. The match was great, the crowd was hot, and the emotion in the match was pretty damn awesome. That match is where their feud ended. It was the last hurrah. It had almost a full year of build. Add the Jericho sell job with the shoulder, it was a kick ass match and one of my favorite of all time. My favorite ladder match of all time, for sure.

The J-Cup match is great. Jericho swearing like a sailor was hilarious. BTW, it *is* on Kazaa, that's how I saw it. Just keep searching for it.

FB 96 was pretty darn good as well. "C'mon Jericho! You want to be famous?" I wonder why Benoit stopped trash-talking during matches after 1996...

I'm torn between their SS 00 2/3 falls match and the RR 01 ladder match, but I see a lot of sentiment towards the latter so I'll give some love for the former.

"Come On You MOTHERFUCKER!!!"

japanese crowd: oooooohhhhh.....

he said a little variation of this in the Rumble Ladder match:

"Come on you SON OF A BITCH!!"

I think their WWF material is pimped a little high, personally. I remember liking the Submission match, but I haven't seen it in quite some time. The match on the previous PPV was a piece of crap for the most part, with wishy-washy booking that didn't lead to anything the following month, in terms of the match itself, which ended with a choke out.

The 2/3 falls match is awful, as the time gives them zero chance to tell any kind of story. The rollup reversal at the end is kinda neat, that's it.

The ladder match was far and away better than their other WWF stuff, even though they focused primarily on the brutal spots (liontamer on the ladder, chairshot to Benoit's dome in mid-flight, ladder spots). The slow climbing was annoying as all hell, though, and I'd still probably call the J-cup match better.

Fall Brawl 96 was a fun squash, more than anything. Jericho looked REALLY sloppy the little he was on offense, so thankfully Benoit just beat the tar out of him for the majority of it.
