Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 I took a semseter of keyboarding/misc. computer stuff and although it's a pain to learn, it benefited me. I got skilled at typing properly and I've never looked back. I don't know how I ever wrote anything more than 2 lines in less than five minutes not typing properly. It may be a "pain," but it's one of those pains that's worth it.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 I use my own technique for typing. It's decent enough for the typing I do. I never could really pick up the proper technique when I had to take class in high school about it, though I was the fastest typer in my class. Plus, I can pretty much out where the keys are without looking at them. Oddly, I seem to type more accurately without looking at keys than I do when I am looking at the keys. Just call me Dan 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 I type pretty quickly, but I don't look at the screen. I tried Mavis Beacon all in junior high, but I'd get past the main keys and quit. I guess I just can't help but look at the keyboard. It would be nice to learn, I'm sure.
