Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 Heres the deal. I'm broke. I want either WMXIX or Madden 2004. I have games that I have beaten the everloving shit out of and have no intrest in playing anymore. What game stores do that "Trade in X amount of games and get this free" thing. I will probably be trading in NBA Street Vol. 2, Def Jam Vendetta, Resident Evil Zero and Madden 2003(if anyone takes it).

OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 Wouldn't you be better off selling them on ebay then buying it? You can get a few bucks for each plus jack up the shipping to get a few more and you should come out better.

OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 Really? I post stuff to ebay in a couple minutes then just jam it into an envelope and hand it to the mailman when he comes with my mail. Don't even have to leave the house.

Yeah, but I'm telling you right now, you'll probably get jacked on those games if you take them to EB. Old sports games they normally dick you on, you'd be lucky if you got $5 for Madden. Do the extra work, put them EBay, and reap the rewards.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 If you want the most money for them, eBay is the only way to go. If you take Madden '03 in to an EB or something, you'll get something along the lines of $5 for it.

If you take Madden '03 in to an EB or something, you'll get something along the lines of $5 for it. Nah, I'm just trading to try and get another game. And I only paid 6.99 for Madden 2003 from Blockbuster anyway(they had labeled the package wrong...dumb bastids) so 5 bucks isn't a lost at all. Now I know for sure I could probably get 25-30 bucks each for Def jam Vendetta and Nba Street Vol 2, but at the end of the day, I would have 50-60 bucks. The new GC games are 49.99. So basically if I do all the work of putting it on Ebay, shipping it out and what ever, I would probably make 8-9 dollars profit on it after I got the new game. Its just not worth the time really. I know I used to see the signs in EB games a bout if you trade in any 3 games you get this one for free (or X amount of dollars). I'm looking for one of those deals. Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 I got very good trade-ins on some old games at Game Stop. They're a smaller chain than EB, so they might be more willing to give a little better price to get people in the door. Plus, they have a deal where, if you trade in three games on one console, you get an extra $10 total on your trade-in. If there's one in your area, Ripper, look into it. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2003 Gamestop's good, but I usually sell games via half.com. It's affiliated with Ebay, and it's fixed price instead of auction. And old sports games go for a few bucks at most. They're virtually worthless for trading in/selling--even online.
