RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2003 Xander was the only one who really stepped into adulthood, though. He's the only one who had a car and a business (well, cept for Giles). He represented the everyman. You could make the case that Xander was the true hero of the series... you'd be wrong cause it was Buffy, but you could still make the case
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2003 He was the one who "saw everything." That's why his eye was, popped.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2003 Of course, I don't like how they left the series off (as evidenced in that picture in Moles Sig) with Xander standing far off in the back - it should have been Buffy, Xander, and Willow at the front. Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2003 Of course, I don't like how they left the series off (as evidenced in that picture in Moles Sig) with Xander standing far off in the back - it should have been Buffy, Xander, and Willow at the front. and Dawn under the left front wheel of the bus
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 I picked the picture with Faith there, because I really liked her character. I think there are other pictures with Xander a little closer, but yeah.
Guest Vitamin EC Report post Posted November 25, 2003 There's a picture in the yearbook with all five excluding Dawn but they're posing and all happy, so I don't know if that's the kind of picture you want for your sig.
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Nope, I wanted this one because it is the last episode and they are "Chosen." I change my sig quite a bit, so that one will be gone soon anyway.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 I felt that way before seeing your sig, Mole. He was at an uncomfortable distance. I know Anya died and all, but fuck, they started it, they finish it, fuck dawn.
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Yes, fuck Dawn. But wait, if it wasn't for Dawn, then the holy season 5 wouldn't have been the same....
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Season 5 Dawn was fine. Dawn-in-everything-after-that-especially-the-last-shot should just go away.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 I was just watching the episode "Dead End" on TNT and I thought it was awesome that Lindsey grabbed Lilah's ass on the way out and then blamed it on his hand.
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 Angel today reminds me why Lindsey was cool. Evil hand issues indeed.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted November 25, 2003 LMAO! the episode of Married with Children with Boreanaz as Kelly's boyfriend is on, heh
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Season 5 Dawn was fine. Dawn-in-everything-after-that-especially-the-last-shot should just go away. Not when she does the dance in "Conversations with Dead People."
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 She was quite good in Convos with Dead People. Then again, everyone was. Great ep at the time.

dubq 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 So, is there a new episode this week? I vaguely recall someone saying that there isn't due to the WB airing Josie and the Pussycats or some other piece of crap. ?
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 I believe it's reruns until the new year.
Cavi 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 Hey Reek, cool to have another join the Buffyverse discussions here At the time? Still is! Indeed, though it would have been nice if they had eventually explained the "Buffy won't choose you" bit.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 I thought the "Buffy won't choose you" thing was obvious - in Season 5 Buffy chose Dawn over saving the world. In Season 7, she wouldn't. It's about loyalty. It's about breaking up the family. This lead to Dawn not chosing Buffy and kicking her out of the house.

Indeed, though it would have been nice if they had eventually explained the "Buffy won't choose you" bit. That was just the First fucking with Dawn.
Golgo 13 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 (edited) It would have been nice. But I eventually saw it as one of two things. 1) Metaphorical, when Dawn didn't end up being a potential... 'Buffy won't choose you' being 'the slayer powers aren't for you.' 2) Referring to when Buffy chose for Dawn to not be in the final battle, and tried to get her out of Sunnydale. Mole 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 I saw it as the First just messing with the Scoobies. I have watched season 7 about 3 times now, and I understand the season completly. Anything that you think was un answered from the season, ask me, and you'll be answered!

Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 For the Buffy fans, as well as John ritter fans, Ted is on right now. Ritter at his homicidal best.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2003 I sure hope everyone watched it because he doesn't stand for that kind of malarky
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 I never really liked that episode that much, Ritter was great though.
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 The ep would have been better if he wasn't some wacky robot. I thought that was kind of a cop-out, similar to Wes' dad this season. Damn robots! Also: "Oh my god, the slayer is a robot! Did you know the slayer was a robot?" Or something like that. Glory rules all.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 The ep would have been better if he wasn't some wacky robot. I thought that was kind of a cop-out, similar to Wes' dad this season. Damn robots! Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. What was the point of that? And it really really sucks that Buffy didn't get to hear her mom say she was sorry. So she could go on thinking forever that if her mom hadn't found out she would just never forgive her or talk to her again.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 27, 2003 BUFFY: So, what do you guys think she is? I mean, this may sound nuts, but I kinda got the impression that she was a- TARA: Robot. Everyone nods in complete agreement. XANDER: Oh yeah, robot. ---------- GILES: And you're certain she was a robot? BUFFY: Absolutely. TARA: Well, she practically had "Genuine Molded Plastic" stamped on her ass. Giles and Willow give her looks. TARA: Just ... tryin' a little spicy talk. (Willow smiles) ------------------------------ WILLOW: Hey! I think I found him. A Warren Mears. He went to Sunnydale High with us for a semester, and then he went to the tech college over in Dutton. I've got a local address where his folks still live. (writing it down) TARA: He's probably home for spring break. BUFFY: Well, I'll go talk to him. (takes the paper from Willow) GILES: No no no no no, wait, we don't know what you're walking into. (looks behind him, notices a customer standing by the counter) Uh, we have no idea what his motive is for building this thing. (stands) TARA: Um ... don't you think se's just... (makes insinuating face) WILLOW: Yeah ... she's just sort of a... (makes the same face) XANDER: She's a sexbot. (to Giles) I mean, what guy doesn't dream about that? Giles walks off to help the customer. XANDER: (wistfully) Beautiful girl with ... no other thought but to please you ... willing to do anything... He looks up. Shots of the four girls staring at him. Xander laughs nervously. XANDER: Too many girls. I miss Oz. He'd get it. He wouldn't say anything, but... (clears throat) he'd get it. (Willow turns her attention back to the computer) ----------------------- BUFFY: My name is Buffy Summers. We were at Sunnydale High together. Do you know who I am? WARREN: Yes, I know. Um, April, did she hurt someone? BUFFY: Not yet. (thinks) Well, no one that matters. WARREN: She's looking for me. You know, uh, she followed me here. BUFFY: Okay, kind of figured that out. WARREN: No, no, there's more. Uh, there's something you need to know about her. BUFFY: I know. WARREN: No, wait, this is important. BUFFY: Believe me, I, I worked it out. WARREN: No, this is something, uh, that you can't possibly know. Buffy folds her arms and nods to him to continue. Zoom in dramatically on Warren taking a deep breath. WARREN: She's a robot. Buffy looks at him as if expecting more. BUFFY: Uh-huh. Blackout.
