The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Recommended Posts

Andrew coming back and standing up to Angel=Awesome

Great episode, and it brings up a very interesting plot twist. With the Scooby Gang not trusting Angel, could this lead to some confrontation between them and the Fang Gang? Yeah I know, its doubtful they could get all the actors for it, but still, I love the idea.

Oh and I enjoyed that last conversation between Spike and Angel. It was excellent way of showing how they're different, and yet alike in so many ways.

I'll say it once and I'll say it again...

I HATE ALL OF YOU!!

Well, I don't hate you, but I'm so jealous. Plus the fact I'll have to wait till Friday to download the episode.

Did anyone tape the episode? If so PM me.

Just thought I'd mention this: Moore Action Collectibles has decided to keep making Buffy action figures, starting with a whole Willow series- Willow ranging from normal, to VampWilkl, to Darth Rosenberg. The website, for those interested, is www.mooreaction.com

Jesus H. Christ. That was one wicked episode. Spike going all stumpy was insane...I admit, I marked hard for that. Andrew was insanely awesome, with the constant LOTR references at the beginning (comparing Spike to Gandalf, the "Mr Frodo" line, saying Spike's pecs were Viggo Mortensen-esque), and then him showing that he really has grown as a character (him not running away from Dana, standing up to Angel). Pure awesome. Spike was really well written too, and the convo with Angel at the end was great.

Borne - The idea of Scoobies vs Fang Gang is just too cool. I mean, you can really picture them stepping out from the shadows, all armed, ready to take on Angel; then the ep would end, in typical Joss fashion. And I would probably have a heart attack.

I really enjoyed the ep with Harmony, last week's ep, and the ep with the Spike/Angel showdown. But this probably was the best of the season...for now.

Oh, indeed. I just received my copy of the limited edition "Chosen" Willow the other week from them. Vamp and Dark Willow look to be really cool.

As for last night's episode...Andrew! Great stuff with him. He always owns.

I also quite liked the final scene with Spike and Angel.

1. FUCK Andrew. Motherfucker tryin to play with T.A. FUCK that shit. Angel shoulda had his boyz pop caps in aaaall dem Slayeraz ass'z. I hope the psychoslayer turns on them and kills a nice chunk of em. I liked him at first - with all the LOTR references and the slaying of the vampyres, but then he had to turn of Angel. FUCK THAT SHIT. I HATE THAT SHIT.

2. I LOVE THAT SHIT. It's great how they went against Angel cause he hooked up with WR&H - you kinda get complacent watching the show thinking that they're changing things and that the evil lawfirm ain't evil no more; but it still is. It's a great -effective- way of keeping us (and them) on their toes.

3. Anyone else mark out for "imbue"?

4. Speaking of which, did anyone think the psychoslayer looked a tad like River? Acted a tad Rivery?

5. Shit, I really wanted Spike to be the one who did all those bad things. Just so he could have the past come back and whoop his ass. They still "did" that, but it was much less significant and it was already established and we, as fans, accepted it. Noooo, gotta keep Spike squeeky clean face. FUCK THAT. This ain't "Spike", it's "Angel". Stupid cop-out.

6. The end scene was fucking FANTASTIC and totally came out of the blue and was really fucking effective.

The episode last night was great, even though I did miss the first 15 minutes. Though, I'm not a big fan of Andrew. Scratch that - I can't stand him or his character. I wish they'd drop the tiresome metrosexual act with him.

Can someone fill me in on the first 15 minutes? Did Lindsay make an appearance?

The Opening had the psychoslayer in the hospital. It started with the doctor checking in on another patient and finding out that she got the wrong medication (a sedative). Which means another patient didn't get their right medication... which leads to the psychoslayer busting down the door to her room and killing the orderly's with a bonesaw.

ALLLRIIIIIIGHHHTTT....

We have never had just an Angel list. The season WON'T end this year, I swear it won't. So lets do a list now, might as well. Plus I am motivated from doing the Firefly one.

Top 10 Angel Characters

1. Wes - From a dumbling dork, to a badass. He grew a lot over the 5 seasons, and was always my favorite.

2. Angel - Well, it is his show. First off, he is such a bad ass. He is a TRUE champion, but is never happy. It is great to see him smile because he barely ever does. When he is happy, it makes me happy. When he is sad, it makes me sad.

3. Connor - I might get some heat from this, but I like Connor. I know he could be a tad bit annoying, but he actually had a reason to it. The poor kid NEVER had a child hood, and was raised to hate his father. Plus, he was such a badass.

4. Gunn - Gunn's character was very simple; kill demons to protect his "hood." He has no special powers, but can fight with the best. Now that he is a smart lawyer, I love him even more.

5. Doyle - For the 7 episodes he was there, I loved him. Nuff said.

6. Cordy - She would be higher, but I didn't like it when she became a "champion." I loved the old Cordy, because she wouldn't take shit from no one. Plus the fact she's SO hot.

7. Lorne - It's sad that when we gets in the opening credits, he gets less TV time. He always brings the funny, and brings a lot to the series.

8. Fred - I liked it better when Fred was crazy, then she got un-crazy too quickly. I think they should of had her stay a little crazy longer because her character was much more interesting.

9. Gru - He was also a "champion" but was so ignorant, it was great. If it wasn't for him, then lots of stuff wouldn't have happened. His role played a big part for season 4's storylines.

10. Spike - Yes, he just joined the cast. But it's Spike, so I love him.

Top 5 Angel villans

1. THE BEAST!: He was THE BEAST! I've never seen such a badass in my life, I loved every minute he was on the screen. It was too bad he only there for a short time.

2. Lilah - She is my favorite villian because she doesn't use her muscles to fight Angel, but her brains. I like smart villians the best.

3. Holtz - He had a VERY good reason to hate Angel, and he used it to his advantage. Plus if it weren't for him, season 4's storyline wouldn't have happened the way it did.

4. Lindsay - Since he came back, I love him even more. He is just so scheming, I love it.

5. Angelus - I know he wasn't a villian for that long, but I just love his character so much.

Top 10 Angel Episodes(tough since I love so many episodes)

1. "Apocalypse Nowish"

2. "Spin the Bottle"

3. "Five by Five"

4. "Soul Purpose"

5. "Billy"

6. "There's No Place Like Plrtz Glrb"

7. "Darla"

8. "Orpheus"

9. "Peace Out"

10. "The Trial"

Top 5 Angel Moments

1. Connor coming back, older.

2. Dru turning Darla back

3. Lindsay coming back

4. Wes kidnapping Connor

5. Angel finding out he might be human someday.

Favorite one shot Character

Skip - He ws in a few episodes, but I loved him.

Top 3 Least Favorite Episodes(this was tough, since I enjoyed most of the episodes. It isn't like Buffy where they had HORRIBLE episodes.)

1."Slouching Toward Bethlehem"

2. "Eternity"

3. "That Vision Thing"

Top 5 Writers

1. Joss Whedon

2. Tim Minear

3. David Greenwalt

4. Ben Edlund

5. David Fury

Rank the Seasons

1. 4

2. 3

3. 5(so far)

4. 2

5. 1

Favorite quotes/one liners

(While Gunn and Wes are fighting in "Spin the Bottle")

Cordy: Aren't you gonna get in there and stop them?

Angel: It's about time the English got what's comin' to 'em. I'm rootin' for the slave.

Spike:Ah!

WES(softly): Spike?

Angel(angrily): Spike.

Harmony: Blondie bear?

That is all I can think of for right now. I am sure will come to me later on.

Anyone else catch the Squaresoft reference last ep? Lorne called Eve "Parasite Eve", which was an RPG for the PS1. A good one, too. Gotta love whoever is writing Lorne...Smackdown reference one ep, RPG reference in another. Good times.

Those were good lines, Mole, very memorable. I personally like:

Angel - "I don't like being kept in the dark....figuratively speaking."

Look at this AWESOME cast picture of BTVS. I believe it was taken during the last days on the set. I can't seem to find Willow though. High Quality That picture is the high quality one, but I put the other one in because it fits in the window.

Yeah, because remember in Chosen when she was being 'purified' you could see all of her white hair flowing in the wind.

That's true. I just remember her having shoulder length hair ever since season 4.

I STILL haven't seen "Damage" yet because I forgot to download the rest of it when I left my house tonight.

Buffy Season 6 Release Date

Back in December, when the 5th season set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer was released, Fox included an insert that said when the Season 6 set could be expected: "Available May 2004", the insert said.

insert.jpg

We immediately posted this news item item clarifying that according to sources at Fox, this insert contained old information, and that the date had been delayed until July 6th.

Today Fox reversed themselves, and made their insert true. In a statement released to retailers and press, Fox Home Entertainment announced that Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 6 would now have a street date of May 25, 2004.

We know this will suite many American Buffy fans very well. Not only is it sooner, it’s just before the long Memorial Day holiday, so anyone so inclined can go all through it in a 3-Day weekend!

Price and other specs have not changed, just the date. To remind yourself about further details of this release, click here. Stay tuned, and we’ll be back with the cover art as soon as Fox unveils it.
