Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Wow, next week is going to be one of the best episodes of the season! Anyway, all of my anti-Smile Time sentiment is gone. For starters, the Self Esteem Song rocks. Gunn's losing his mind, Lorne gets ample screen time, KNOX IS THE MAN, the puppet fight scene, and finally Fred and Wes kissing. Not the best or anything, but it was a really good episode. Like I said, though, "A Hole in the World" is going to rule.
Guest EQ Report post Posted February 19, 2004 I loved tonight's episode. It had me cracking up several times. How about that huge, dramatic money shot of them all walking out of Angel's office to go kick some ass at smile time... then the camera pans down to puppet Angel with a PHAT sword. LMAO
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 "I'm gonna tear you a new puppet-hole bitch!" Another classic line. And that wierd squeaking blue penguin thing bleeding out stuffing when Wes pulls out his honker. The whole fight scene is one of the funniest things I've seen in quite a while. Mole 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 OH MY FUCKIN GOD this was THE funniest episode of Angel I have seen ever. Joss must have been high as fuck when he thought of this episode, but thank you for doing so. I was in a bad mood because of stupid ass girls and this episode changed my mood in two seconds. 1. I don't know where to start because I haven't laughed so hard since seeing School of Rock. The teaser was great and seeing that kid sitting on the floor smiling was fuckin creepy. 2. The guy in the room where Angel turned into the puppet reminded me of Se7en, with the guy who died in the pasta. 3. Everything that happened with Angel and everyone else was fucking gold. "I DON'T HAVE PUPPET CANCER" I couldn't stop laughing. 4. Spike and Angel fight was awesome. Too bad there was little Spike tonight, but while he was there it was awesome. 5. Those puppets were fuckin freeky, I felt a big bugged out. 6. Fred kicking Knox out of the room was great. And at one point I swore I saw up Fred's skirt and saw what she had on underneath, but then the damn coffee had to block it. 7. The werewolf bitch, her name escapes me, tearing apart Angel was great. Lorne than picking him up was so funny, even though I don't think it was supposed to be. 8. The fight scene with the puppets was insane. Angel turning vamp was classic and will be my avatar in a few days. 9. Fred and Wes, FINAL FUCKIN LY. 10. When the werewolf bitch had some cotton in her mouth, my suitemate Art yelled "Puppet Cum" and that was awesome. GREAT FUCKIN EPISODE! Next week looks sweet and I can't wait. Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 I think it's great how they tied everything together. Wes was getting all worked up over Angel not seeing that Nina likes him, and then at the end he doesn't notice that Fred is all over him. And yes Mole, I think there was a brief glimpse up her skirt. By the way, I think Hamfrek or whatever was played by David Fury, which is pretty cool (he was also the Mustard guy in OMWF).

Ah, but I said it before that scene came on. Could this mean Knox is a telepath?? What insidious plan does he have in store for our heros with his evil gift? TUNE INTO ANGEL TO FIND OUT! uh, sorry. I was channeling Shivaone or somebody there.
Mole 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 I am surprised people didn't like the episode as much as I. I walked into my friends room, all girls, and said: Craig: I just saw the best thing on TV today... Girls: Well, on the OC... Craig: No, don't give me that OC bullshit. Angel was awesome tonight; he turned into a fuckin puppet! Girls: Yeah... Craig: Fuck you all, you don't know good TV. PUPPET CANCER! Girls: Yeah...

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Nina.. Nina... Nina... Nina... ... "Good Lord" - Dr. Hibbert. 2 Words, 1 Message: BOOYAH GramPAH! They went totally overboard with the puppets. It was so gratuitous, so blantent, so slameless... ... God bless'em for it! Angel taking off his nose defined that episode, imo. That, and him going psycho on Spike and puppet vamping. The Big Honker was fucking PRICELESS. They needed to have him as a big bad for some huge story arc; he almost rivals THE BEAST. Hmm, I wonder what that Doctor was smuggling...nah, forget it, it can't be THAT important. I'm happy Fred and Wes are together (Fred was looking HOT tonight and that skirt just keeps getting shorter), I really hope it lasts.

More like one girl, who I can't seem to stop liking. I should forget her; she started watching The OC over Angel. She got shit for that one.
Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted February 19, 2004 I loved it. As I was watching the episode thinking, "This is either their worst episode ever or the most genius comedy episode ever." And there were a lot of hilarious moments, including: * the puppet-vamping, already said. * Muppet (or is it puppet) Angel having this dramatic moment of self-realization, and then get's ripped to shreds by the wereworf. * Muppet Angel running in glee to the tv. * And the best for me: Wes rips out Honker's horn, and then beats him to death with it! Next week's looks to be good, too. Wes finally has atender moment with Fred.

dubq 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 I don't know. I just don't. Puppet episodes? Maybe it is time for the show to end. Yeah, because god forbid the show should have a light hearted episode. No, no, everything has to be dark and dreary and serious all the time.
Mole 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 I forgot... Fred says something to Angel the puppet and he replies "YOU'RE FIRED" That also had me rolling with laughter. Sorry, I didn't get much sleep last night.
Cavi 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Entertaining episode. The aforementioned "Geppetto" line from Lorne ruled. Great to see Knox get owned, as well. I got a laugh out of that one puppet talking about "edutainment." Next week's ep looks to be good. By the way, I think Hamfrek or whatever was played by David Fury, which is pretty cool (he was also the Mustard guy in OMWF). Yeah, it was indeed Fury. Mole 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 AND LISTEN TO THIS BULLLLLSHIT I bought Buffy season 6 on DVD from eBay. It took a while to get here, but that was okay because I had Angel season 3 to watch. Well I get it today and I was thinking about skipping my 3:30 class to watch "Tabala Rasa" because I haven't seen it in a long time. But you know what? HE DIDN'T PUT IT ON THERE!!! My favorite episode from the season and the fucker didn't even put it on there. Plus, "OMWF" isn't fully and it has fuckin subtitles. UGH, I am heated right now. Mole 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 And they say that watching Angel/Buffy doesn't help you in school... In English 312 today, we were talking about The Odyssey. My Prof. was talking about Odysseus and what kind of a person he was. I said he was like a champion, blah blah blah. And for the rest of the class he refered Odysseus as a champion. Thank Joss.
