Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 I just wrote a five page paper detailing why "Buffy" should be preserved for all times, and how it relates to American culture today.
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 AND LISTEN TO THIS BULLLLLSHIT I bought Buffy season 6 on DVD from eBay. It took a while to get here, but that was okay because I had Angel season 3 to watch. Well I get it today and I was thinking about skipping my 3:30 class to watch "Tabala Rasa" because I haven't seen it in a long time. But you know what? HE DIDN'T PUT IT ON THERE!!! My favorite episode from the season and the fucker didn't even put it on there. Plus, "OMWF" isn't fully and it has fuckin subtitles. UGH, I am heated right now. RRR has been reading the spoilers, me thinks. And this is why I would either a) get the region 2 set and play it on my comp, or b) wait untill May (or was it Marcj for the US release. In the meantime- negative feedback.

The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 I once wrote a college paper comparing Buffy to heroes of greek mythology
Mole 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 That would be easy, hell I could bang out ANY paper on Buffy mythology.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 *points to sig* Just something I threw together using pics from a screencap site. Anyway, I'm downloading the ep now because it was so awesome~
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 I'm sure it's already been posted and discussed, but I just looked at the guest stars list for the next 3 episodes and marked out 3 times for 3 of my favorite actors. First of all...Knox is going to be more important...which I love because I think that guy is great. Second...Adam Baldwin of Firefly fame will be on three eps from now. Third...*spoiler* Lindsey is coming back.
Guest EQ Report post Posted February 20, 2004 What happened to the spoiler tag?
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 Is the spoiler tag fixed? Besides...that's the minorist spoiler in the history of spoilers.
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 Plus, you could see it coming anyway. Nothing really surprising.
Guest EQ Report post Posted February 20, 2004 Yeah, sorry... I didn't know it was broken in the first place. I just tested it out and it's not fixed I guess. But you didn't put enough space in between (I use page down to scroll)
BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 I forgot... Fred says something to Angel the puppet and he replies "YOU'RE FIRED" That also had me rolling with laughter. Sorry, I didn't get much sleep last night. I know I'm late with this, but I haven't had time to go on. About that scene Mole, in case you still can't remember it. Fred: Oh my god, Angel you're... cute. Puppet Angel: (Turning his head away) Fred don't. Fred: Oh, but the little hands, (feeling Angel's hair) and the hair.. Puppet Angel: Hey! (pointing at her) You're fired. Funny shit. Oh and I loved how the gang couldn't keep a straight face after they first saw him in his puppet form, and the I laughed out loud when that one dog puppet/demon kept preaching on about how they needed to deliver high class edu-tainment. This is in my top three of episodes in season 5.
Mole 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 From what bps said, YES MOTHERFUCKER about the second one. I am sure RRR knows about this, but if he doesn't then damn.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 Know about what? Oh, you mean that guy who fucking owned on that show which fucking owned on Angel? Yeah, I kinda knew about that
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 FInally saw the ep today. Dear god. I cannot begin to explain how hilarious that was. Seems like you all agree though. Also: Very nice to see Funbags McBlondie back in action. She is hot. Her + Fred's Legs = ratings. I would go on and repeat the lines you guys all said, but there's not much of a point. So great. Love this show.
Mole 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 I talked to my friend Catie last night who I haven't spoken to in a long as time. She said she watched 20 mins of Angel last night and said it was the dumbest thing ever. I then went on a 20 minute rant about Angel/Buffy and why it is a good show. But she did sign the petition for me.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 ^ dum? DUMB!?!? DOES THE IMAGE IN MY AVATAR LOOK LIKE IT'S DUMB!?!? ..... don't answer that.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 You have to earn episodes like Smile Time, you just can't go into them cold on the show. Half the enjoyment is seeing Angel & co. react to what happened, not just the novelty of puppets cursing and being bad.
Edwin MacPhisto 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 It was good - close to great, but some of the puppet stuff towards the beginning was mad retarded. All the relationship business and parallels were exceptionally good, and the big purple honking puppet may be the absolute highlight. Bad timing, though. Angel gets cancelled, and anyone tuning to see if all the uproar is so grand...gets a show built around puppets and knowing character backstory. Whoops. What's gone mostly unsaid here but seems to be really interesting is the restoration of Gunn's powers following his unseen deal with the creepy doctor. The Senior Partners probably won't be happy with his upgrade...and neither will his colleagues after finding out what he had to give up. I know no spoilers for next week and don't want to - it looks like it could have even more gravity than the likes of "You're Welcome."
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 Let's just say you're focusing on the wrong thing in that transaction.
BlackFlagg 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 Dirty Girls is a great episode, Caleb pwns and Xander with another great speech....he was just the speechinator during season 7 wasn't he, heh
Mole 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2004 Caleb does indeed own. More like Nathan Fillon owns.

Makes you wonder about the timing of the announcement- Angel is banging out great episode after great episode (Ok, the U-Boat ep was average to good, and the Harmony episode- bleh), You just come off the mega 100th episode- then they announce the shows being canceled. So people do turn in to see what all the comotion is about, and they see The Muppet Show from Hell. Sabotage from up high. Oh, and FINALLY got my Season One of Angel. I forgot how good Doyle was. RIP Glenn Quinn.
dubq 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2004 I forgot how good Doyle was. RIP Glenn Quinn. Seconded. He was a credit to our family name, it's just too bad he had to go so early.

dubq 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2004 Angel Season One = Dancing from "She"! One of the greatest moments in the history of the show. Wesley's introduction onto the show is the greatest moment in the show. Agreed! It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside to think that thanks to the DVD sets we can relive those moments any time we choose.
