The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

Recommended Posts

It's not exactly legal, but the season five episodes haven't yet been commercially released as part of the season five set, obviously. So there's no infringing on profit here, and those offering downloads aren't profiting either; which is one of the criteria for copyright infringement, I believe.

You know, I think the Dragon as the same one that came through during "The Gift."

And I think the powers will take pitty on Angel and make him human, along with Spike. It takes a true champion to sign away your one gaurenteed shot at happiness just to save the day.

And now the only show I have to look forward to is Smallville, and I don't always watch that show anyways. I think I'll just tape it and watch it later. Damn if I'm going to give the WB any ratings next year.

Fuck the Frog.

How do we know that Angel signing away the Shanshu wasn't the selfless act that caused it to come true? Like a test or something.

I find it interesting how in Chosen, they finished off the "series story" but most of the characters' stories seemed unfulfilled while in "Not Fade Away", the characters' stories seemed finished but the "series story" was left hanging. To me, it's a good example of how different the shows were and how different the stories told were.

Hopefully that makes sense... it did to me until I actually typed it.

Here's how I see it- they are all fighting, Illyra's pissed, so she manag4s to slow down time- and they win.

I don't know. I don't think the device that took her powers away left any of that, Wesley was pretty adamnt that after the fact "she won't be slowing time anymore"

man I got to go watch the tape again, I missed some live as the yanks were busy beating the angels (ironic no?) but it was incredible. a bit rushed, but good .

and hey I was having trouble sleeping thinking of all the possibilities, not that's a good show. too bad I initially wrote off buffy/angel as lame or dumb. I wish I had been watching for eight years, but there are always re-runs and dvd sets.

my fav scene was oddly, the next to last conversation of wes and illyria. He said that he didn't want to be lied to, as he didn't plan to die that night, though he knew one way or the other, he was done.

and bringing back the shelter leader anne was gold, cuz her character dates all the way back to like the second season, when she wanted to become a vampire then when she ran into buffy in la at the beginning of season 3, later to show up on angel

and btw, what happened to Lorne? do you think any demons went after him, or maybe he was spared since all he did was killy lindsey, who the sps hated anyway?

If he was spared, I'd bet he went back to vegas or somethin or opened a new club somewhere in new york, or atlantic city or somethin.

nice cliffhanger ending, even if we get no movies or new series.

Wait....I know she's the shelter lady from Angel Season 2, but I didn't know she was the girl from the Buffy episode "Anne"??

Yeah...she dates back to season 2 Buffy in Lie to me. She was mushroom girl, to what ever her name was in Anne, and changed her name again to Anne.

THAT my friends is continuity.

For the record.

I *hate* Anne (the character).

Why? That girl had just as much character development as anyone on TV.

I believe her name was Lily when she showed up in the 'Anne' episode, and at the end when Buffy went back to Sunnydale she asked if she could be 'Anne' - but yeah, Joss rules with continuity. ;)

Except it all probably went over the heads of most fans. I had no idea it was the same girl.

Casual fans? Sure. Freaks like me who even noticed that Tom Lenk played one of Harmony's vampire lackies in Season Five? Nope. :P

I KNEW that was the same girl!

At least there was one happy ending in the Buffyverse.

its funny looking around the net at people trying to think of ways they got out of it alive.

That is dedication to ones show.

Ripper, the answer is obvious

Just when they all look dead and hope is lost...

Out walks THE IMMORTAL!

Unless Buffy screwed him to death, then they are dead.

I like Anne if only for her constant character development. I have no interest in debating the subject, though.

Getting back to the end of "Angel." There is always the possibility the Scooby Gang jumped in and saved Team Angel. It would make an awesome first scene of a movie.

The Scooby Gang?

A one eyed man, a witch and Buffy saving a half goddess, two vampires with a soul and a pissed off Gunn with an ax?

Sorry, but if the Scooby Gang appeared they would be dead in 10 seconds. Well, maybe not Willow but one eye would be gone and done.

I like the Gang and all, but they would be no help against that enemy.

Well I'm sure if they came they'd bring an army of Slayers with em....

This gives me a thought...

WHO WOULD WIN?!??!

Xander vs. Gunn!

Willow vs. Illyria!

Buffy vs. Angel!

Giles vs. Wesley!

Andrew vs. Lorne!

Spike BS vs. Spike AS!

????????????????!

*assume all are in their current/last known form (Wes is assumed to be very alive; Gunn is mortally wounded and Xander is eyeless). Everyone cept for Spike, who is catagorized before and after sacrificing himself for the world in Chosen.*

Gunn, because Xander can't fight. But do you mean end of season Gunn or before hurt Gunn? Plus, Xander has one eye so he'll have a blind spot.

Illyria. I'm sorry, love Willow but Illyria would snap her in two

Angel. He's not arrogant Angelus so he wouldn't screw around if he needed to kill her.

Giles. Because he is just one dangerous man. He reminds me of Bill from Kill Bill at times.

Lorne. Cause Lorne has killed and can dress like Shaft when he needs too.

Spike AS. Because he SUCKED as a fighter when he became good on Buffy. Didn't suck as much on Angel.

So, I have it

Team Angel-5

Team Buffy- 1

I was thinging of a lot of stuff today, mainly about the Sanshu. Do you think the first could have known about this and that's the reason it attempted to coop Spike during Season 7?

Also, I remember in an earlier episode thatSpike said something along the lines of "maybe guys like us can't be saved" when talking about being in the hell dimension. Another great reasoning leading up to Angel doing what he did.

And also, as for a Connor series, it'd be pretty awesome if he ended up with flashback of Quar'toth. He could eventually bgo psychotic trying to repress these.

As for Angel, the W&H blood coursing through him could make him invariably stronger and might have evened things up more.

As for Gunn, when he went back to the shelter, was he looking for the gang to help him out? Because that would have been a pretty good idea given the odds.

No, there's only one person who can screw The Immortal to death:

I love all the biblical references:

"Looks like we've been kicked out of the garden Eve."

And this little Illyria/Wes exchange:

"Your wound is mortal."

"Aren't we all."

Well, Buffy IS stronger than Angel (just a bit, though). There's also Faith (possibly), Willow, Wood (again, only possibly), and the army of slayers. They would be a HUGE help. Especially if Willow could get them all away with a teleportation spell. I'm sure she could even use those tatoos that block the Senior Partners as well.
