Guest Brian Report post Posted October 31, 2004 Untouched was today. Besides what Rudo's already mentioned, I love how they're starting to tie into the flashbacks into the story. This one was about the choices that make you evil or not.
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 31, 2004 "Dear Boy" is what were discussing Tuesday if anyone else wants to jump in besides Rudo and me. I watched it already, but man Season 2 really picks up.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 Commentary by the puppets would have rocked.
Mole 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 No, the episode is just overrated.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 You can't see the humour in having the puppet with the horn just making random noises and the other puppets agreeing with him?

Anya 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2004 I don't think Chosen actually has any deleted scenes, besides Wood and Giles smoking together.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2004 There's a lot of "what ever happened to?"'s in Angel. It'd make for some good short stories or comics.
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2004 I don't think Chosen actually has any deleted scenes, besides Wood and Giles smoking together. I read an article on Buffy.nu w/ Gellar where she said there was a scene where she was walking down the hall of the high school (right before the battle, after everyone had shown up) and there were either flashbacks or just audio-overs of things that happened to her in high school (meeting Cordy, Willo, things like that). There were also some other scenes, I think, that were in the Book 'Chosen', which was one bigh scriptbook for sceason 7 really, that may have been shot as well. Also of note- Gellar says the reason she never did commentaries for the DVD's was because they'd recod them wile filming the seasons, and that her schedual was always so hectic that she could never get around to doing it. Which is to bad, because I would have loved to hear her commentaries on some eps.

The man was doing THREE shows and he still had time to do a commentary.
Max Danger 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2004 Well, considering she had to fly back and forth between the U.S. and Australia to film Buffy and the Scooby Doo movies(well, the second was in Canada, but ya know), I'd say it was pretty hectic.
Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2004 She did several movies during her stint on Buffy, including Scooby Doo, Simply Irresistable, Cruel Intnentions (I believe) and a couple of others. Plus doing advertisments, and trying to keep a personal life. I really don't blame her for not doing the commentaries, I just think its to bad she couldn't. Guest Brian Report post Posted November 1, 2004 Nothing in that episode compares to Spike's voice-over of Angel's rescue.

Guest Brian Report post Posted November 1, 2004 “How can I thank you, you mysterious, black-clad hunk of a night thing?" "No need, little lady, your tears of gratitude are enough for me. You see, I was once a badass vampire, but love and a pesky curse defanged me. Now I’m just a big, fluffy puppy with bad teeth. (Rachel steps closer to Angel, and Angel steps back warding her off with his hands) No, not the hair! Never the hair!" "But there must be someway I can show my appreciation." "No, helping those in need’s my job, - and working up a load of sexual tension, and prancing away like a magnificent poof is truly thanks enough!" "I understand. I have a nephew who is gay, so…" "Say no more. Evil’s still afoot! And I’m almost out of that Nancy-boy hair-gel that I like so much. Quickly, to the Angel-mobile, away!”
JST 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2004 Angel fan here, who doesn't feel like going through 200 pages of this thread to find what I need. So, has there been a date set for the release of season 5 on DVD?
Guest Brian Report post Posted November 1, 2004 The DVD preview is either on this page or the next. The target is 2/05.
Mole 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 She did several movies during her stint on Buffy, including Scooby Doo, Simply Irresistable, Cruel Intnentions (I believe) and a couple of others. Plus doing advertisments, and trying to keep a personal life. I really don't blame her for not doing the commentaries, I just think its to bad she couldn't. Boo to that. Most people who do movies, do them during the summer time when they have time off. I believe when she had time off, she filmed those movies. Besides, how could she fly back and fourth to film those movies? They filmed Buffy 6 days a week and since SMG was the lead in Buffy, she filmed most of those days. I believe she just doesn't appreciate her fans.
Guest Brian Report post Posted November 2, 2004 Mole, DVD club. C'mon.

Anya 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 Oh yeah, I forgot about the scene where Buffy walks down the hall before the final battle. There's also an extended scene with FE/Caleb and Buffy, but it's just a couple extra lines. I wish I still had a copy of the shooting script for Chosen. FX is starting season 7 again today. I think I will watch Selfless one last time on TV before the DVDs come out. I don't think it's fair to say SMG doesn't care about her fans or Buffy because she didn't do commentary. A lot of actors didn't do commentary. Up until recently Seth was the only one to do them. Aly, Tony Head, Michelle Trachtenberg and Emma never did them either. Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2004 From Buffy.nu: Sarah Michelle Gellar Continues To Keep Distance From Buffy From Syfyportal.com - By Michael Hinman - 2004-10-22nd With all the different things happening around "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" right now, one might think that the actors and such are excited as well. Apparently not all of them. Taking some cues from former co-star David Boreanaz ("Angel"), Sarah Michelle Gellar has been noticeably absent from a couple of projects as of late, and recently told interviewers that it’s simply because of time. "You know it’s so interesting," Gellar recently told Sci-Fi Wire. "Most of the time in this business, you really only get one side. You get he who speaks loudest." Gellar said that people speaking out against her lack of involvement with the animated series, and now with the commentary portions of the DVD sets, are really only giving one side of the story. She said it’s her schedule that has gotten in the way, not a lack of interest. "In terms of the DVDs, they always did the commentaries during the show," Gellar said. "I was working constantly, three units. There was never time. It was unfortunate. It was a timing thing. If you tell a line producer, ’OK, we need Sarah for two hours on this day to do commentary,’ the line producer is going to tell you, ’Uh-uh.’ So that was why I didn’t do it during the show. And if I had free time, if for some reason I was getting a day off, I was taking it. I was exhausted." As far as the animated series went, Gellar said she more or less would like to spend time as a free spirit. "Literally, the joke is I’m a commitment-phobe actor right now," she said. "I am a commitment-phobe because I was nothing but contractually bound for years. I was contractually bound to (’Buffy the Vampire Slayer’), to the (Scooby Doo) movies, to whatever it was. I don’t do something unless I can commit 110 percent, and I just can’t that that three times a month or this week I could actually, absolutely do an animated show."
