Anakin Flair Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 I've come to a realization about the First's interaction with dawn- it was all in her head. Or the First summoned a poltergeist. Still trying to figure out about the cuts- maybe broken glass.
Guest reekspeak Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 It's the First. Confirmation in the DVD commentary.
Hank Kingsley Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 He's a damn Region Twoian. All this talk of commentary on DVDs we don't have yet is very, very cruel~
Anya Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 The thing with death in the Buffyverse is that it is never permanent. Â Â I know, that is the one thing that keeps me from going insane. I think about angel Anya, or ghost Anya, or incorporeal Anya hanging out with Xander like every day. Â Â Mole's sig is mean and cruel. Anyone remember those fake season 8 credits? I was watching them the other day and noticed her death scene is in those. God, that would have been horrible to see before every single ep. That almost counters the goodness of Andrew being a regular. Â Â I meant to tape CWDP today, but my tape ran out thanks to Him and not wanting to tape over Selfless. I guess I will catch the replay tomorrow morning. CWDP has no Xander or Anya, total weaksauce. I just want to see the Willow/FE stuff again. Season 7 needs to come out on DVD. I've watched selfless like 2 other times since yesterday. Â Â FE can't possibly have been the one to haunt Dawn. It attacks her and breaks stuff! At the very least it MUST be a demon summoned by FE. I suspect the comments by Espenson, and whatever is on the DVD, is just damage control.
Hank Kingsley Posted June 8, 2004 Report Posted June 8, 2004 I want the DVDs to hear Drew Goddard commentary on four (FOUR!) episodes: Selfless, CWDP, LMPTM, and Dirty Girls. Plus, CWDP has Tom Lenk and Danny Strong, LMPTM has Marsters and DB Woodside, and Dirty Girls has Nick Brendon. So awesome.
Hank Kingsley Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Sadly, no. Hey, maybe the "Serenity" DVD (Christmas 2005?!) will have commentaries by the entire cast and crew. Or at least the people that matter. Â A commentary with Joss, Nathan, Alan, and Adam? Bliss.
RavishingRickRudo Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 They should do like 10 commentaries. Â Joss Joss and Nathan Nathan and Wash Joss and Nathan and Wash Wash, Kaylee, and Nathan Tim Minear and Joss - even if Tim has nothing to do with it, they can still make fun of Fox. Adam and Nathan Adam and Nathan and Wash Morena and Kaylee and Book .. .... oh the possibilities are endless
Anakin Flair Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 If I ever get my new laptop, I might get the region 2 season 7 DVD's. Usually the DVD special features will differ from region to region.
Guest Brian Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 If all in the buffy-angel land was real, most of us would be dead in a second, I mean one slayer (ok 2 when faith, then all the sits but you get my point) to defend everyone in the country? Â That just reminded me, what the hell happened to the rest of the country (and cali) in the buffyverse. who fights evil in the midwest, the east coast, etc. funny how the slayer only saved a small town outside la . Then again maybe I am thinking too much. Buffy and Angel were drawn to their spots, where evil concentrated. A couple of other would die, but there'd probably be rogue hunters in spots like Wood or Holtz, or even Justine.
Guest Brian Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Let's move the final round of the Angel episode tournament in here.
Anakin Flair Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I saw we merge the Firefly thread into this one, and keep all Whedon-related subjects in here to keep things clean.
Mole Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 The Anya death in my sig is just my love towards Anyanka.
Hank Kingsley Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Let's move the final round of the Angel episode tournament in here. Alright, then. Folks, it's the FINALS! Â A HOLE IN THE WORLD Â Â Â VS. Â NOT FADE AWAY Â Â It's two season 5 episodes! Both written or co-written by Joss Whedon! It's time to VOTE!
Hank Kingsley Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I'm trying to think this through evenly...I mean, AHITW was so emotional. The final scene in Fred's room was probably one of my favorites of the series. The acting was top-freakin'-notch. There's Lorne's awesome scene with Eve, Angel and Spike's teamwork in the Deeper Well, the interaction between Gunn and Knox...everything was just so amazing. Â And there's Not Fade Away. Again, the acting was perfect in this. Everyone worked their asses off, and it showed. The ending was BEAUTIFUL, the fights (what was seen) were excellent, and the dialogue was great. Â So, this all comes down to a coin toss. Â ... Â ... Â Tails = Not Fade Away
Mole Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 "A Hole in the World" Â When Spike said, "There is a hole in the world" that was one of the biggest mark out moments in Angel history.
Tawren Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Not Fade Away  I think Apocalypse, Nowish is the best, but that didn't make it to the finals (ARGH) so I'll go with my favorite of the two remaining and that is NFW. "Let's go to work."
Edwin MacPhisto Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Is anything going to beat Not Fade Away in this poll? I don't think so. You wasted two of your earth-weeks! Bow to my visions.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Oh yeah, Not Fade Away. To make sure I'm right.
