Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 If Mack turned on Teddy Long and Mark Henry and became the underdog who fights the big ass monster because he found his actions too repugnant... that could work. Plus, as a face he could hide his lack of wrestling expertise. Then how do they hide his lack of charisma? That's bullshit. We have no idea what Mack's ideas were. The most likely scenario is that Helms had had a bad day, tried to give Mack shit, Mack wouldn't play bitch for him and beat the shit out of him. What's also bullshit is how everyone is jumping to conclusions. The story says words were exchanged, and then a fight broke out. There's no mention of who threw the 1st punch or who was the agressor in instigating physicalities. Helms being upset doesn't automatically mean he started throwing punches at Mack. Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Also Hurricane must be retarded to pick a fight with him. Look at the size difference (i.e muscle definition). Size and strength aren't everything. Hell, Jericho beat Goldberg with a front facelock. And while I like Helms, that was stupid, to start a fight over who plans a match. Hell, Jericho beat Goldberg with a front facelock. Jericho: more built than Helms, plus has been trained in the Dungeon. Had a confrontation with a guy who had a cup of tea in a few martial art forms. Helms: Toothpick of a man who got his start in a glorified backyard fed. Had a confrontation with a former Toughman fighter. Jericho--supposedly successful. Helms--had his ass beat.
Guest Nanks Report post Posted September 17, 2003 The fight must have gone on for a decent amount of time for Mack to fully hospitalize Helms. It's not like he, and the majority of the other guys can't absorb a bit of punishment. Mack must have gone medieval on his arse to put him in an ambulance. Surprised someone didn't step in earlier. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Well.....Hurricane reminds me of the little skinny gangster guy in the wife beater that always tried to fight everyone...and got his BUTT whipped. Helms used to be the kid in the lunchroom that's always getting in fights with people but it never progresses past really wussy shoving. "Yeah we hooked up." "What? You touched her? That's it! You wanna fight?" "You want some bitch?" "No, YOU'RE the bitch!" "I'ma knock your ass out!" "Bring it bitch!" Like so. Then it gets broken up. I see this as a winning gimmick for Shane. Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Yeah well...the skinny little gangster guy is always a wuss. I got a guy who lives across the street that always has his rap blaring and his bling bling going. He walks around like a hardass, talks tough, and basically is a little wigga. Well he got a job with me and we had to lift these 40 pound bags of flour onto a stack. Now that's 2 40 pound bags in a package...making an 80 pound lift...the little bitch could barely lift it....yeah so tough.

I just meant the comparison in the size-department- both smaller guys than the other person. Jericho was just more sucsessfull.

Guest Adrian 3:16 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 I knew this was coming. If Hurricane had won the fight everybody would be rejoicing and kissing up to Helms. Now that it's reported Mack won the fight and of course, because he isn't an I.W.C darling, he should be "fired". It was almost as predictable as the token Smark bashing. You know, the "predictable smark bashing" might not be so prevelant if you "smarks" would get some perspective and stop always making excuses for your little internet favorites. Just a thought. Hurricane starts a fight with Rodney Mack and gets his ass served, and even though he clearly instigated it you guys look the other way because he's your geek hero. Meanwhile I see people hoping Mack will now finally be fired, not because he was at fault, but BECUZ HE SUX LOL! Pretty sad guys.

Guest Adrian 3:16 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Us smarks? You're as smark as the day is long boy. Don't try to act like you're on this different plane. Correction: I'm a wrestling fan. I have never once referred to myself as a "smark". EDIT: Barron beat me to the punch.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 If you're on this message board you're pretty much a smark. If you know about the "other side" of the business you are a smark. You're smark Barron. I'm a smark. Adrian's a smark....WE'RE ALL SMARKS!
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 And I'm a wrestling fan as well. Who says you can't be a wrestling fan if you're a smark? Hell that's what most smarks are....fans of wrestling. Which is why we hate on the WWE so much...
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 No I'm not a smark- why must all wrestling fans be labelled as such? I'm just a fan of a sport that entertains me
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Are you smart to the business? Yes you are. Thus making you a smart mark. Smark for short.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Mack does suck, but there seems to be plenty of Helms bashing going on too, so the point is moot.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Are you smart to the business? Yes you are. Thus making you a smart mark. Smark for short. But to just blindly call someone a smark is ignorant. You say stuff like- And I'm a wrestling fan as well. Who says you can't be a wrestling fan if you're a smark? Hell that's what most smarks are....fans of wrestling. Which is why we hate on the WWE so much... How did I become a part of your WE?
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 We're all smarks. We may not all share the same opinion....but we are all smarks. You can have a different opinion and still be a smark. A smark is just a smart mark. Adrian is on here saying "you smarks" as if we all are one big mother brain that all thinks the same thing and he's somehow above that and sits on the outside scoffing at us. When he's basically the same thing as everyone else on this board. Hell nobody on this board has the EXACT same opinion on everything. So get off the "you all think the same thing" high horse. There is often a majority opinion but that doesn't mean everyone agrees. And you don't have to be a part of the "we" Bob Barron. I'm not always a part of the "we" when someone says it. Not everyone is.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Random point: Helms does have an attitude problem. Heard a story about how he tried to shoot on a guy from NWA Southwest in Texas named Samir because Shane himself legit flinched before a comedy eyepoke spot, and got pissy because of it. Random point: Mack once took out 5 guys during the ECW/XPW scrap at Heatwave 2000. Sure, it wasn't the fairest of fights, but it's still FIVE guys.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 We're all smarks. We may not all share the same opinion....but we are all smarks. No we're not- we're all fans of the industry. Some of us think labels are stupid considering marks and smarks pay the same for the same product. One just happens to have a better knowledge of internet sites. Adrian is on here saying "you smarks" as if we all are one big mother brain that all thinks the same thing and he's somehow above that and sits on the outside scoffing at us. When he's basically the same thing as everyone else on this board. Coming from the same guy who said- Hell that's what most smarks are....fans of wrestling. Which is why we hate on the WWE so much... Hell nobody on this board has the EXACT same opinion on everything. So get off the "you all think the same thing" high horse. I didn't say that- YOU did. There is often a majority opinion but that doesn't mean everyone agrees. And you don't have to be a part of the "we" Bob Barron. I'm not always a part of the "we" when someone says it. Not everyone is. Then quit using the word we. I don't consider myself a smark since such terms are ignorant and stupid and really serve no purpose. I'm just a fan who enjoys talking about and watching professional wrestling
Guest Adrian 3:16 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 Adrian is on here saying "you smarks" as if we all are one big mother brain that all thinks the same thing And you do a bang-up job of proving me wrong, huh? So how come you can say "we" speaking for everyone when you have Barron specifically saying "don't lump me with you", and you're justified. But if I say "you smarks" as a sweeping generalization you take offense. I think it goes without saying that I don't mean literally every last person on this board when I say "you" either, and somehow you still get all pissy- and not for the first time either. Seems to me what I said shouldn't offend anyone who it doesn't apply to.... And if a smark is anyone who's smart to the business, wouldn't the majority of fans be smarks then? There's not that many people who still think wrestling is real. Hell, non-fans know this shit is fake, are they smarks too?
