If Mack turned on Teddy Long and Mark Henry and became the underdog who fights the big ass monster because he found his actions too repugnant... that could work. Plus, as a face he could hide his lack of wrestling expertise.

That's bullshit. We have no idea what Mack's ideas were. The most likely scenario is that Helms had had a bad day, tried to give Mack shit, Mack wouldn't play bitch for him and beat the shit out of him.

What's also bullshit is how everyone is jumping to conclusions. The story says words were exchanged, and then a fight broke out. There's no mention of who threw the 1st punch or who was the agressor in instigating physicalities. Helms being upset doesn't automatically mean he started throwing punches at Mack.

Random point: Helms does have an attitude problem. Heard a story about how he tried to shoot on a guy from NWA Southwest in Texas named Samir because Shane himself legit flinched before a comedy eyepoke spot, and got pissy because of it.
