Downhome Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Isn't this movie going to blow overall, considering the past two?

Downhome Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Isn't this movie going to blow overall, considering the past two? hey i liked AOTC I liked it, to an extent. It was better than the first one at least. Of course, that wasn't hard to do. The second film had HUGE faults though. I do believe that the script was one of the worst things of all time. I've decided that George Lucas just sucks, in just about every way. It's not by chance that my favorite film in the series is The Empire Strikes Back.
WrestlingDeacon Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 I think that picture makes him look like an even more pussified Joey Lawrence.
Downhome Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 I think that picture makes him look like an even more pussified Joey Lawrence. Damn you. Now that's all I'll think of. WHOA~!
Spaceman Spiff Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Isn't this movie going to blow overall, considering the past two? hey i liked AOTC There was a thread of spoilers for Episode III in here somewhere, and from reading them I was all kinds of psyched. The movie *sounds* like it'll kick ass. And here it is!

The movie *sounds* like it'll kick ass. The insane Nathan Jones character and Sean "The Devil's Advocate" O'Haire SOUNDED like they'd kick ass also.
Guest Retro Rob Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Wasn't the rumor that all the characters would have retro looks to fit in with the movies that would "follow"? That would explain the long hair.
Spaceman Spiff Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 They're tying it in stylistically w/ ANH, thus the longer "70's-ish" hairstyles.
Just call me Dan Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Those seem to be the hairstyles floating around these days anyway..... Genius!
Lil' Bitch Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Who cares? I just want to see Anakin snap again, become Darth Vader, and fuck shit up!
Guest Dmann2000 Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 He looks like a psycho Peter Frampton And that's not bad
Guest El Satanico Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Vader singing "I love Your Way" = box office megehit
Guest SP-1 Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 I don't get all the hate for EP. I and II. Especially the complaints about the acting. Have you ever actually WATCHED the first 3? Lucas has used a very over the top, almost stage-like acting style for the STAR WARS universe since the beginning.
Guest Smues Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Sure he looks better, but that doesn't mean he can act better now. I know Star Wars isn't known for the best acting int he Universe, but Jeebus Anakin in episode 2 was just terrible. Replace him and his girlfriend with real actors/actresses and it's a great movie, as it was it was just good. IT'S ALL OBI WANS FAULT!! Jeebus get a real actor and not a pretty boy please.
BlackFlagg Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 I think the main problem in part two was the extreme lack of chemistry between Hayden and Natalie...it wouldn't have been so bad but since 90% of there screen time had them together it hurt things in the long run, heh
starvenger Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 I think that picture makes him look like an even more pussified Joey Lawrence. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that...
Guest Dmann2000 Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Hayden's gonna show a lot of people when Shattered Glass comes out this fall.
WrestlingDeacon Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Actually my biggest problem with episode 2 was them NOT showing Anakin whipping ass on the Raiders' camp and that huge set piece in the middle where they're stuck in the giant factory that only exists as a obstacle to get through. Someone make Lucas watch Galaxy Quest. Here's one to piss off the Star Wars fans. Star Wars is nothing but a serial western like Monogram used to pump out in the thirties starring John Wayne before he got famous.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Doesn't piss me off, I love the films but never worshiped them like some religion.
dubq Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Looks ghey. Is that the same actor for EP2?
pochorenella Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 Looks ghey. I just KNEW somebody would say this the very instant I read the Topic. It seems everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, at one time or another, looks "ghey" to some people. Care to explain in what manner does this look "ghey?"
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 I thought Mark Hamil de-aged.

You know? Would you like an essay on the topic of why I think his hair looks stupid?
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 I was disappointed with Ep 1 and 2 but I am still looking forward to the last one just to see Anakin’s transformation into Vader. BTW, does he kill Portman in this?

WrestlingDeacon Posted September 18, 2003 Report Posted September 18, 2003 How does looking like a more pussified Joey Lawrence NOT make you look ghey or even gay for that matter.
