LucharesuFan619 Posted September 22, 2003 Report Posted September 22, 2003 I really like the idea of Briscoe vs. Joe, the big vs. small type formula. It should be interesting to see how ROH plays the idea out, as compared to Brock vs. Spanky/Gowen, Kane vs. X-Pac, and other similar rivalries.
Guest DRAWMUH! Posted September 22, 2003 Report Posted September 22, 2003 I wouldn't really compare it to that. Jay Briscoe is being pushed as a legit threat. He is smaller than Joe but Jay is still about 6" and about 180 right? That's not necessarily small. Joe will be throwing his weight around in this match and if Joe retains, this won't be considered a squash by any means.

They are misusing him so bad that it wasn't even funny...then it continued...and now it's so bad it's funny again. At the very least I don't get why they won't push him and Julio in the tag division... but he did sign a contract...so maybe they'll push him now. I'm almost positive that Jarrett and Russo and Panda...and whoever else has their hands in the stew these days has little interest in Punk himself...and that he's only in TNA because Raven wants him to be. It's good for Punk though...cause where else are you gonna collect a paycheck on Wednesday Nights? I think he's bound to be used soon.
