The Dames Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 You know the deal...Feedback me, homies. Dames
CanadianChris Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Combine that with my 34 year old brother hopping around screaming “It’s SEX time!” throughout this match and it really wasn’t that enjoyable for me. For some reason, this made me bust a gut.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 very true, very true mate.
The Dames Posted September 23, 2003 Author Report Posted September 23, 2003 SK liked it...but then again he doesn't have a lecherous brother analyzing their outfits and bouncing around the whole time. He was literally hopping around the room, no shit. He's 34 years old. Dames

Fökai Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Did Goldberg ever beat Sting? TWICE. First ocurrance was September 14th, 1998. The cool visual of Goldberg rising up out of the Scorpion Deathlock brought back the memory of it. Second occurance was November 8th, 1999. The show featured a continuation of the World Heavyweight Title tournament, the rematch between Goldberg/Sting from the PPV 15 days earlier, and a four-way dance as a main event (Goldberg, Hall, Bret, Sid) to decide the United States Championship.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 By the way, Dames, you made an error. Linda was tombstoned on the rampway stage, not the steps.
Bored Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 What’s next…a Stacy on a Pole match? We can only hope. We're talking about Stacy stripping, right?
Guest The Rising Star Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 As much as I like your columns, Dames, isn't it harsh to call Lita for a "he"? You wrote something like "Lita comes in and is a Diva en fuego. He delivers a dropkick!" Although I don't fancy Lita that much, it was a little harsh.
Guest deadbeater Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Dames, you were harsh on Lita.
Golgo 13 Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 How was Dames harsh? Aside from the Freudian slip of calling Lita a he (though considering she does have the face of a male cross-dresser about 65% of the time), I don't see the problem with the recap. I didn't see the match and I'm not going to go out of my way to. But if someone calls Lita sloppy, I'll believe it, especially since on Raw she still looked as awkward as ever, her punches still looked like garbage and she was fucking up on simple dropkicks, for crying out loud.
Guest CheroneWasMurdered Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 "Stacy on a pole?!" Dames remember what the Wrestlecrap guy says, don't give Vinnie Mac any ideas! Sort of related topic: Is it me or does Kane starting to look more and more like Jason Voorhees?
Guest CheroneWasMurdered Posted September 23, 2003 Report Posted September 23, 2003 Sorry, double post! Delete

But if someone calls Lita sloppy, I'll believe it, especially since on Raw she still looked as awkward as ever, her punches still looked like garbage and she was fucking up on simple dropkicks, for crying out loud. True, but compared to how she worked before, she's no worse. I think deadbeater pointed out how the girls were looking more sloppy lately because they're not used to dealing with or wrestling against high-flying styles. Gail sucked anyway, but her opponents didn't know quite how to deal with the huge change from the usual style of match they wrestle. Others pointed out in the Raw rematch Lita looked a little better overall, but has switched to a more ground-based style, adopting a DDT, powerbomb, and apparently shying away from the high-flying stuff. Plus, when she's in the ring with Molly and Gail, she looks like a hossette (filly? mare?) and is better able to perform those moves than moves where her opponent would have to be able to catch her as she "performs" the move. Hmm--Goldberg ripping off a TNA move--intentional? "After that sledgehammer shot, if Triple H crawled over for the pinfall attempt, everyone would have been on the edge of their seats and would have ERUPTED when Goldberg kicked out. Instead, they were apathetic when Goldberg finally unseated Triple H for the title because they didn’t think it would happen then." Yeah--wonder who booked such a dumb finish? The sledgehammer shot is THE ultimate finish, so maybe HHH could have slowly gotten to make the pin, narrow kick out, and a pissed off and bleeding (I get the impression he didn't blade from the shot--WTF?!) Goldberg would shake the cobwebs out, make the superman comeback, Spear, Jackhammer, 1-2-3 new champ, gooodnight everybody! I thought they had some smart guys like Ace and Patterson to book the finishes? That would have been much cooler. By the way, which is the "correct" leg for the Figure 4?
Lei Tong Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 The straight leg is suppsoed to be the target. In theory, the opponent's folded leg is used as a fulcrum with which to help hyperextend the opponent's straight leg.

Toxxic Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 Is it just me, or was RVD suffering from extreme Jeff Hardy Syndrome on Unforgivable? The last few times I've seen him in-ring he's been slow, sloppy, and kind of looking like he HHHates being there...

Toxxic Posted September 24, 2003 Report Posted September 24, 2003 Oh lookee, I mark my first post with a double post. I'm a cretin, it's true, it's damn true.
SamoaRowe Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Is it just me, or was RVD suffering from extreme Jeff Hardy Syndrome on Unforgivable? The last few times I've seen him in-ring he's been slow, sloppy, and kind of looking like he HHHates being there... You know, I made almost the exact same comment during an IM conversation yesterday. Looks as if the "Jeff Hardy syndrome" is contagious. It's spreading to Raw's home audience...
Toxxic Posted September 25, 2003 Report Posted September 25, 2003 Yeah, but to REALLY suffer from it you have to be doing drugs - possibly heroin. So when you say it's spreading to the home audience, do you mean that the lack of good wrestling is causing fans to do drugs? If so, don't anyone tell the PTC...
clean rob Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 By the way, which is the "correct" leg for the Figure 4? I think what Dames meant was that the figure 4 was applied to the same leg HHH had been working on just prior to that, so that it made sense.
