Uh...woah.

The tag match is set up and it looks fantastic. I stand totally corrected in my opinion of Mark/King/Thugg -- they've managed to make people care about their involvement in the angle while elevating new talent through the actual match. The main event couldn't have turned out much better in terms of build considering the tournament thanks to Judge and Tom adding just the slightest bit of tension to the remenants of the Magnificent Seven, and one of the best slow-build feuds we've had in the midcard since forever ago is coming to fruition in Johnny/WC. Mak/Sacred looks cool and I don't even know what the hell is happening there. That's an accomplishment.

Oh, and there's some match between a retiree and a no-shower. I dunno what that's about.

Seriously, though. I've taken two days off of work to write this match. I suggest you all prepare yourselves for the shock of seeing me show for PPV.

Fan-fucking-tastic show.

K.

Even though there are 18 other promos to read before it, make sure to check out my show-closing promo. Trust me, it's worth checking out.

And what more can be said about this show? I now care a lot more than I did before about Dante/Crow vs. Double Jeopardy, as well as Mak vs. Sacred. I'm still in full markout mode for Johnny vs. Wildchild. The image of Grand Slam getting into WC's face really hammered home the storyline stuff with me, and was VERY well done. Silent vs. Kibs will own all. I'm still waiting on a recap of the feud, though. Judge vs. Tom is about as perfect a PPV main event as you could hope for out of the tourney, and this should end up as a true match to remember. The commisionership battle got a LOT more interesting with the changes, and I really like it. King wussing out of facing Dace was perfect King psychology, and really makes Dace look like a million bucks. Kudos to those guys for working their asses off all summer long to build up to this moment.

Honestly, I know I'm forgetting a couple of PPV matches, but I don't care. This show will be insane, and might be in the running for best PPV ever when it's in the books.

A fantastic show with an unheard of amount of promos, not to mention some good matches hidden throughout. If Genesis is even half as good as tonight's show, we're in for a helluva PPV.

Oh, and thanks everyone who had nice things to say about Mark's/Thugg's/my plotline. I know most of you had very valid concerns that it was another Kliq attempt to show up and feel important over the current roster, but I am glad you waited to the end. We were really looking forward to elevating some local midcarders in a match that will ACTUALLY affect fed wise storylines. Mark and I are thrilled to be working with our... representatives (read the show to find out who).

Seriously awesome show... quite frankly it was unbelievable... but Edwin missed one promo in there. So make it a even 20... with a few edits cause it was rushed when I sent it in. It goes right after the Duran/Francis match and if it could get edited onto that by a mod... it'd be great. More detailed comments on the show after class!

!!!

=====

The Franchise continues to lie on the mat, as John Duran finishes soaking up the capacity crowds jeers. Andrew Blackwell slowly makes his way down to the ring, walking up the steel steps to the ring apron… and that gives John his cue to leave. He rolls out of the ring, both hands raised in the air, in triumph, as he goes up the ramp, happy with the fact that he proved himself a winner against the current ICTV champion. Meanwhile, Blackwell has made his way through the ropes and brings the microphone from behind his back, standing with a regal posture as always. “I wonder wants going to happen here?” questions Comet, as Sacred speaks.

“Stand up Mr. Francis. Explain yourself.”

“What?” says Mak still trying to recover from Duran’s attack, lying on the ground.

“Explain yourself. Why would you dare to steal my spotlight? I knew that people were trying to suppress my message, but you must explain yourself!”

Sacred bends at the waist, thrusting his microphone into the still groggy Franchise's face. “I’m not trying to steal your damn spotlight...”

“Lies lies lies. You been trying to stop my experiment, haven't you.” asks Sacred placing the microphone in Francis’ face.

“What does that mean? What the hell is this thing you keep talking about?” asks Mak, now up to a seated position.

“That is a question for a different time. Just know that it continues as I planned. I believe Brian was right in saying that you wanted to steal my spotlight… even while you deny, you attempt to do it.”

Finally Mak explodes…

“It’s not about me and it’s definitely not about stopping your message—whatever the hell it may be! I just want to live up to my brother, damnit! I just want to be—I want to be what he didn’t get the chance to be!

Part of the crowd gasp, as some make the connection between, this and Mak's earlier announcement during the show. “Bobby, do you know what happened to Francis’ brother?”

“I… I honestly have no idea, Comet. I never even knew he had one…”

Sacred pauses for a second, but responds quickly. “I understand this… sentiment, as I have an older brother of my own. Christian is a unique soul... but that does not excuse you—I know that you have some problems, and I will solve that at Genesis, through your pain. But know this—your so called 'fate', that you spoke of today, is nothing but lies! Now, will you accept this as a truth?" Sacred bends down to eye level with the fallen hero. "Will you denounce this preposterous ‘fate’, of yours?” He asks practically spitting of the word fate, like it was bile in his mouth.

“I can’t… I won’t…” mutters Mak, still on the ground, as Sacred shoves the mic in his face.

Blackwell takes a deep calming breath, after nearly exploding. “At Genesis 4, we will have a two out of three falls submission match. For the unforgivable act of suppressing my message, because of this supposed ‘fate’, I will take your last shred of foolish pride and crush it… I will prove this 'fate' wrong by forcing you to submit to my will, not once, but twice in the same match… know your 'FATE' is false, Mr. Francis... know that your 'FATE' is false!”

Sacred drops the mic with a look of condesention mixed with contempt on his face, leaving Francis in the center of the ring, broken, near tears, as the crowd can only look on in sympathy...

"Oh my, look at citizen Francis... he looks... I just can't describe it..."

Riley looks on at the scene in the ring, not sure what to say. "I don't know either Comet..." say Riley, in a sombre tone. “At Genesis 4, The Franchise vs The Sacred One in a 2/3 falls submission match… this is just unbelievable, what a confusing night it's been...”

Faboooooooooo! I just read through the card and I'll be damned if the storylines didn't click the hell out from top to bottom. The federation on the line story, Nate-dog/Edwin, Tom and Judge taking little pot shots, Wildchild/Johnny... oh MY~!

I was really happy with my match as well since putting Dace over worked well considering he's in a huge angle now and needed the cred. Plus I needed to get the Ejiro-Va'aiga thing moving a little bit as well and I think the run in did that without hurting anyone in the process. I really think I hit the mark as far as an internal storyline to the match coupled with the sports entertainment and got everyone more over in the process. But I'm hoping for some comments ... seems like I've been in the shuffle a bit lately while pumping out some good work.

Now that's a damn show!

The only thing was that there were so many promos that the actual matches are rather hidden...but you know what...I think that's exactly what we needed leading up to Genesis. All the matches on the PPV have history and angles behind them...nothing random. I absolutely LOVE Johnny/Wildchild, and I'm marking like hell for that match. In fact, it's the angle/match I'm most looking forward to seeing at Genesis. Second, is my angle...because it rocks hard. I'm very happy that our original plan came to fruition in that from the start, the plan was to elevate talent by using proxies in the match...well, and bring in Bastion. So, it looks like I'm the old vet up against the new blood...wonder if I can summon some of that old magic from back in the day to pull it out against two awesome writers. I'm not going to tell you who, you'll just have to read the show to find out. But, I'm really excited to get back to writing matches and having some fun. And despite the changes that happened in the angle (Edwin coming back, Bastion's early arrival, etc), I'm just so happy that in the end, it turned out to be awesome and our original plan remained the outcome.

Thirdly, I'm really looking forward to the long-awaited finish of Edwin/Silent...it took us like a year, but it seems we'll finally get some closure on that one.

Everything else...Sacred/Mak, Tag Titles, Flesher/Judge, etc...seems to have taken shape nicely for Genesis, and this show will fucking rock.

SO, if you haven't read this past show, I suggest reading it...closely...or you'll be missing significant events.

Da "proud to officially be back" H

Whoops! Sorry, Mak. All your other ones were labeled Promo and I lost this one in the shuffle. I've edited it in right at the end of the Mak/Duran match so as to avoid having to move have the show around. And now your match makes a lot more sense, too!

Just whoa on the show. I read all the promos as they were coming in and got blown away again and again. I'm going to try to take some time to go over a few matches in detail too, but no guarantees yet. Until then...kick-ass show. Especially the Mark/King/Thugg angle. The guys who are going to be in the match get set up *great* on this show and are going to get a lot of the PPV, I think.
