Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 29, 2003 Here comes the kicker... He told his team mates "I'm Gay but fuck you if it's a problem" then goes on i.r for buying the drugs for D.H. but he tells the Media he is engaged...So there's two sides now...One half KNOW he is gay but the media still thinks he's straight. Why did McMa-Wilbanks put Guerwicz on IR? Because he said many times he hates homosexuals and doesn't want them so he "punishes" him and now with the Drug Tape...He can hide behind that excuse because we all know he could care less about his players using/buying drugs. gWIL 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 I must have 15 friends who watch this show and they all agree that Guerwicz is my far the most compelling person on the the show, I hope they keep him on anyway even if he is on IR, and they said that this was the best episode so far and I've got to agree with them. More Guerwicz less DH! I hope they release a DVD boxset of this because I'm loving it.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 29, 2003 They Will...everything has a dvd boxset even the god damn Local News has one for each week of the year I'm sure. Yes, Gurewicz and DH are the only really compelling characters with Ozylack a close third...still could care less about McConnell, Guard Dog and Leon. Guerwicz's comment to the media about getting married seemed totally like the writers trying to have their cake and eat it to by way of tackling the topic of gays in sports in a positive manner while at the same time keeping things inside the show's universe in synch with real life by having Guerwicz go through with his sham marriage and not coming out of the closet. 2. I'm utterly suprised that they didn't drag out the ending for a couple of more episodes, especially given DH's involvement with the drug buy. Given that Wilbanks and DH are the two main villains of the show, one would think they would tie Guerwicz's storyline into the overall metaplot of DH fucking everyone over by way of Guerwicz exposing DH being behind the drug buy and using that to begin the inevitable arc of DH getting his just deserts for all of the stuff he's done... JasonX 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2003 DH is a mix of LT/Lewis... Connell is Aikman... Those are obvious...Leon is a stereotype... That's the problem it acts as if those four are the ONLY players (Leon, Dh, Oz, Connell) with very little focus on the other guys... <Ozylack is Romo...> Actually Ozylack is more of a Zach Taylor analoge than he is a Romo analogue.... lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2003 but my thing is wilbanks is the gm so why would he risk his team losing w/out their best player just because he's gay. I mean the guy would rather not have a job than have a gay guy on his team.
lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2003 Yeah they need to make someone give a fuck about mcconnell. DH, Leon, Olycyzk, and Gerewertz all have something for us to care about. Even wanting to see if the big lineman will tell DH to fuck off is more compelling that anything to do with the quarterback'
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2003 The whole "DH is a fuckup but doesn't get punished cause he's a star" angle has worn thin with me. I'm sick of seeing it and glad they've gone light on it the last couple episodes.

Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted October 31, 2003 I understand how we're suppose to hate DH...but I think he's just boring to watch. It's ok to hate some people cause they're entertaining...but DH is not

Again, I point to McMah...er, Wilbanks. Wilbanks is the guy who's screwing Leon out of opportunities, so all the heat is transferred to him, and takes away from both DH and Leon. You really can't care too much about the two when they aren't the real focal point of the conflict...
