Being someone who has seen almost all the major "Scary" movies made, (besides the Excorcist, never had a hankering to see THAT) I'd have to rank this as the most disturbing movie I have ever seen.

 

Now I know why the adds back in 1972 had caution signs about how it pushed every limit possible (and consequently was banned in 4-5 countries)

 

This was also Wes Craven's Movie Debut, and I think i'm going to have a hard time sleeping tonight.

I wouldn't really call it scary, but it is disturbing on many levels. Poor production quality makes it feel like soft-snuff too.

Funny, I just was watching this with the Wes Craven/Sean Cunningham commentary, one of my fav commentary tracks btw. Great, great movie.

What a total badass horror film. It's frightening how real it seems.

not scary, but disturbing. I'm not really into that type of horror movies (disturbing ones), but this one was quite good.

Why don't you want to see The Exorcist? If you want to see every major "scary" film, logic dictates you should see that one.

I think i will rent the Exorcist (I know I couldn't spell the title) this week.

 

I might have to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre again, I hardly remember it (I saw it around 13-14 years ago so its just a giant blur.)
