Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Well, I could understand it going out in the newsletters and popping up on places like 411, Meltzer, etc. You gotta remember that those of us who don't live in NY have money that is just as green as yours. The Dames 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 How ironic, the word in the box I just got when I checked just now was "mislead". Dames
Guest RollingSambos Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I don't even see the point of this "pre-sale". Everybody and their mother knew the password. Why not just put all of the tickets on sale today, or wait for tomorrow?

NYU 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 What the fuck ? Aren't they selling fucking 2 TICKETS AT A TIME ?! They just keep telling me no seats are available....IN THE WHOLE ARENA ?! How is this possible ?! Aren't they selling 2 fucking seats together ?! This is the funniest thing I've ever seen....this week. Gold. Continue your hissy fit. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM And oh no, my friend, believe me - with the way I'm feeling right now, I could have a hissy fit that would rival anything ever done on these boards before. This is just a release of anger from my frustration over taking off from school today just to get a big "Fuck You" in my face from my friends at Ticketmaster. Learn the difference. Im not complaining about that, im complaining about WWE putting it on their site. Yes, you should have as good a chance, but they said specifically that they'd only give out the password one way, then printed it on the site. BTW, you'd have been MUCH better off in meltz, etc. didnt post the password cause we would have gave it to you anyway. niko
NYU 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 All the presale tickets are gone now, right ? All gone. So why do I just keep filling out the form and trying again ? Do I enjoy the mental torture ? I don't understand.....
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 By the way, did anyone try that newsletter code too? I was wondering if it was a different set of tickets since they effectively split the passwords in two this year. It's 7AM here, I'm going to bed and I'll read the further posts later. Gnight folks. Or good morning. Or something.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted September 26, 2003 i hate to say this, cause we'll all go back and try to get more tix, but i got Rumble tickets from their website hours after it sold out because the machine starts releasing tickets that they find duplicate orders for, etc. niko
Guest John Dub Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I sat at my computer for 20 minutes, knowing full well I was going to be late for a big test, just trying to get the tickets. Right fromt he get go, back and forth with 2 computers, finally found one for 210, debated if I really wanted to spend the 210, decided I would, then apparently took to long so I lost them. I tried over and over and between ticketmaster just not working and them saying they had no seats (The best available is a fucking joke, it never displays tickets and when it does they aren't the best available) I was ready to just fucking smash everything to hell. I was screaming and shit and just trying everything when I landed a 104 dollar ticket, after it told me they were all sold out a ton of times. I picked it up ASAP, and now I'll be there section 212, row D. I ran to school, got there just in time, and aced the test. Now I have a job interview after school. Good day. pochorenella 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 It seems I tried a hundred times but I've had no luck with tix. Now I just click "Any price" and still nothing. Everything's gone in less than 1 hour. Tomorrow I'll try again and hopefully the gods will smile upon me.
Guest The Pred Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I got three tickets section 401 row D. As soon as my Computer clock said 8:57 I kept hitting the refresh button over and over again. Until 9 came. Well I entered in the password then that stuiped type in the word box. Well that thing that says searching for tickets said it about 3 times. Stuiped Ticketmaster.com. Meh at least I'm going. cawthon777 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 There must have been some sort of glitch at Ticketmaster for it to display nothing available at 9:00 am. I tried twice with no success ... then finally, after a turretts-like tirade of every cuss word known to man and with a threat to toss my computer right out the balcony door, it finally worked on the third try. I agree that posting the pre-sale password at WWE.com was a slap to the hardcore fans. I ended up using the Ticketmaster password (BAWWE) after I didn't have any luck with the other one. It worked ... but I ended up paying about $15 per ticket for service fees associated with that password.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 My friend and I were laughing because we thought it sold out in 13 seconds. Then we got tickets
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I tried for 8mins before all of a sudden I was offered 2 tickets in section 121 at $104 each. Snapped them up in a second and am now delighted that my friends can come to Mania with the others like me who got travel packages. My friend, who was trying elsewhere, got stuck on '1minute to find seats' for over 25mins - ridiculous.
Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Ok everyone - here is the news people without tickets wanted to hear: The Internet presale of WrestleMania tickets was absolutely incredible this morning. Madison Square Garden Box Office officials used the word “ballistic” to describe the fact that their allocation of thousands of presale tickets was gone in a matter of minutes. Thousands of fans who logged on at 9 a.m. are now in possession of WrestleMania tickets; others who also logged on at 9 a.m. found themselves unable to place their orders because so many tickets had been sold so quickly online. You still have one more chance, however, to secure YOUR seats to WrestleMania. Tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 a.m. ET, tickets IN ALL PRICES will be released to the general public. They will be available at the Madison Square Garden Box Office, all New York-area Ticketmaster locations, over the internet at WWE.com and Ticketmaster.com, and through Ticketmaster phone charge at (212) 307-7171. The purpose of today’s Internet presale was to give our fans two chances to purchase their tickets to WrestleMania. So, if you were unable to get through to reserve your tickets this morning, we invite you to please try again tomorrow, Saturday, at 10 a.m. ET. Source - WWE.com Good luck everyone. Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I got pretty good seats in section 300 and something. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow just for the hell of it and scalp those two. For a while I figured I was shut out because I kept getting either no tickets available or the $750 ones, and then the site went down.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 Should I?, should I, should I, should I, should I? Sure. Even if you choose not to go, you have to be pretty foolish to not go AND lose money on it by not putting it for sale. Shit, someone here was using WM tickets like an ATM machine this year, ebaying several times, getting a platinum seat and still making profit.
Guest DanNJ316 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 This was the biggest cluster fuck in the history of the world. I was at Madison Square Garden for both the Raw and Smackdown shows in June, and on BOTH nights they said "fill out this form, and leave it on your way out to recieve a special password for the Wrestlemania pre-sale. This a way of saying thanks to our loyal WWE fans." I remember the words as clear as day. So I filled out one of the forms, and I got my password the other day. Low and behold WWE.com releases the password on their page, and of course it gets posted on every other wrestling site known to man. That's how they show thanks? Gee thanks for the slap in the face. I was in the system at exactly 9AM today, I kept getting the "we can't match your request" message. How is that all of you people got tickets, was there a real "secret" password that we didn't know about? It's the biggest crock of shit ever. So this is my reward for being a loyal WWE fan huh? Meanwhile every idiot from here to Tokyo got the password, and they're probably the ones who ended up with tickets. And don't give me the "more tickets go on sale tomorrow" bullshit, tomorrow will be an even bigger cluster fuck than today. Mark my words. Something not right went on today, plain and simple. You people who got tickets already don't care. And a final word to those of you who actually made it through to the promised land, only to turn around and charge a left and right lung for tickets on E-Bay. Why even bother? Leave the tickets for the people who actually want to go. Get a job, figure out another way to line your pockets. Go stand on a street corner, and sell some flowers. Raking people over the coals on E-Bay for a show you don't even give two shits about is just a disgraceful way to make money. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Sorry for the rant guys, but I'm pissed off, as I know countless people are who got the shaft from WWE and Ticketmaster today. I just needed someplace to vent. Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I think it's hilarious that we all bash just about everything WWE does to high hell week in and week out, yet some of you breakdown when you can't get tickets to Wrestlemania. Yeah, it'll be cool because it's Wrestlemania, but it's still not too far off from now, meaning little will have changed and you're just paying a shitload of money to see something in person that you piss and moan about every week. I dont think its hilarious, we all bash the product because as it happens, we care about what happens. We have all enjoyed the WWE at one point or another and thus we always hope it will get better. As for buying tickets, people complain about how shit their sports teams are, but still go and see them in person when they get the chance. This is no different. There is no need for your 'high and mighty' attitude. Oh yeah, I *DID* get tickets.

Guest webmasterofwrestlegame Report post Posted September 26, 2003 I just thinks its ironic that WWE constantly claims the internet and its fans are insignificant to their business and yet the ones they want to reward with loyalty are those on the net as that is where the password was. There is no need for your 'high and mighty' attitude. Oh yeah, I *DID* get tickets. I have no high and mighty attitude in this thread. I was simply pointing out it's pretty ironic how people shit on basically everything WWE does and yet they're ready to kill someone over not getting tickets to the live show. I'm a fan and always hoping it'll get better, but I don't see things improving all too much until late 2004 and 2005. With the same flock of guys still ruling the airwaves as we close out 2003 with no real signs of change on the horizon, most of 2004 will probably be a lost cause and similar to the last two years. But whatever, far be it for me to make a simple observation. You all act like WWE's this big honest company that actually gives a damn about the fans, when I thought we all knew the truth, yet everyone's so shocked that they could "betray" their loyal fans like this. I guess if I had come in here yelling, "FUCK TICKETMASTER~!!!," all would be right?
