Kenan of "All That" joining SNL as featured player

Recommended Posts

Kenan Thompson (All That) and comic Finesse Mitchell will join NBC's Saturday Night Live as featured players when the long-running show begins its 29th season October 4. The show also will debut a new opening sequence shot by veteran music video director Dave Meyers.

The comedy-variety series is getting a new set, modeled after New York's refurbished Grand Central Station. The transformation of Studio 8H was carried out by "SNL's" scenic design team.

School of Rock star Jack Black will host the season opener, with John Mayer appearing as musical guest. Justin Timberlake will host the October 11 episode, while Halle Berry and Britney Spears are set for October 18.

Returning to "SNL" are performers Fred Armisen, Rachel Dratch, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Will Forte, Darrell Hammond, Seth Meyers, Chris Parnell, Amy Poehler, Jeff Richards, Maya Rudolph and Horatio Sanz.

Kel has all the talent. Even when he is acting extremely over the top (ie. the Keenan and Kel show) you could see it.

I'm dissapointed that Darrell Hammond is coming back and Dean Edwards is not-

But I've always found Kenan to be pretty funny and I think's it cool he springboarded to SNL.

Kenan's the fat one.

And what happened to the Rock hosting the opener of Saturday Night Live, like all those rumors have been saying ?

What did Dean Edwards do other than the MTV Sway character?

As long as Jimmy Fallon is on SNL I won't watch. Or at least cut down on his airtime.

Not watching because of one castmember is pretty stupid. There are lots of very talented people who overshadow Jimmy's antics

And then there's Horatio Sanz.

ZING!

In the past, yes I could overlook the crappy cast members, but everytime I watch he is so pasted over the entire show that it's hard to not be totally annoyed by him and miss the entertaining people.

I'll probably give the opener a shot b/c Black's typically amusing. But I'll probably have limited interest if the show's uninteresting with him considering some of the future guests.

Well yep, he does suck. He was never funny to me. But then again neither was the other guy. I just hope they still have room for Tracy Morgan, he is funny.
