I loved the Emmy winning golden era Simpsons and I like the wacky adventures era Simpsons. Some people get too caught up in "but it's not as great as it use to be" stuff. The Simpsons get sent into the future and The Futurama characters get sent back in time to Springfield. I don't know how that would fit into an hour though...might be a 2 parter. But right now it is the year 2003, and odds are high that the Simpsons will feature at least some references to our current time period, and Fry was frozen before 2000 even started, plus he lived in New York. I liked the earlier episodes, and I get an ocassional kick out of a new episode, but they have been phoning it in over the past couple of years. Oh, and Homer will probably be gay.
