Papacita Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Ok, someone emailed me this chain mail today...and normally I don't bother with crap like this, but it's got me so damn frustrated. Let's see if any of you can get this... A RIDDLE THAT'LL KILL YOUR BRAIN! This is going to make you so MAD! There are three words in the English language that end in "gry". ONE is angry and the other is hungry. Everyone knows what the third ONE means and what it stands for. Everyone uses them everyday, and if you listened very carefully, I've given you the third word. What is it? _______gry? I figure there's a reason they capitalized ONE...maybe even MAD...but I can't get it. Can anybody get this?
{''({o..o})''} Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 This is a quite bastardized form of the original riddle. The answer is here http://www.word-detective.com/gry.html.
Papacita Posted September 28, 2003 Author Report Posted September 28, 2003 I see. Once you get the correct wording, that's pretty good. Angry and hungry are two words that end in '-gry'. There are three words in the English language. What is the third word? Everyone knows what it means and everyone uses it every day. Look closely and I have already given you the third word. What is it?
Guest TheGame2705 Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Pedigry... All kidding aside, it took me 5 minutes.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted September 28, 2003 Report Posted September 28, 2003 Pedigry... All kidding aside, it took me 5 minutes. It's spelt pedigree. So, no... Unless that was satire. In which case well done. Maybe.

kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 Oh, it's one of these riddles. For those that don't know the riddle, don't check out my spoiler. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I remember as a kid reading this book of tricks to tell someone that they can't say this five times fast (instert long tongue twister). You would then spot them a lead and when the person was on his last time saying the thing you would blurt out "This this this this this" and proceed to get beaten up...
Corey_Lazarus Posted September 29, 2003 Report Posted September 29, 2003 Spoiler (Highlight to Read): "Language."
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 30, 2003 Report Posted September 30, 2003 (edited) http://nr.wireplay.co.uk/modules.php?name=Net_Riddle Let me introduce you to Net Riddle. I've gotten the first 19, Im stuck on 1.20 though. Nice little simple ole riddle, hope it will bee for you. Must admit when I did it the first word that sprung to mind was not ‘simple’ I live off myself and when I am finished I will die. I think it has something to do with BEE, but I've tried everything to do with bees that I know and nothing works. Edited September 30, 2003 by MarvinisaLunatic
