HarleyQuinn Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Sox continuing to hang onto the lead...barely
Downhome Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 A's lead, 4-2 after a 2-run home run over the monster. WOOHOO!
JangoFett4Hire Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 A's just took the lead 4-2... Sox should have teed off on Sparks... dammit
The Czech Republic Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 A's lead, 4-2 after a 2-run home run over the monster. WOOHOO! Downhome, I said it about Bob, and I'll say it about you. You suck at liking teams.
JangoFett4Hire Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Sox should have been all over Sparks dammit.
Downhome Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 A's lead, 4-2 after a 2-run home run over the monster. WOOHOO! Downhome, I said it about Bob, and I'll say it about you. You suck at liking teams. I like rooting for the underdogs usually, when I'm indifferent to both teams playing. I'm not a Sox fan, and I'm not an A's fan. I just want Oakland to pull it off, because almost everyone else wants Boston to win. The same goes for Yankees/Twins. The same was going for Giants/Marlins. To be honest, I want a Braves/Twins series. For one reason, I want payback and for another, I know the Braves could beat the Twins.
tpww7 Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 It's going to come down to if Manny and David Ortiz can hit the damn ball.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I think its close to that time for the Boston fans to be saying "Wait til next year.."
iliketurtles Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I think its close to that time for the Boston fans to be saying "Wait til next year.." What was that?
JangoFett4Hire Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I think its close to that time for the Boston fans to be saying "Wait til next year.." Yeah, thanks Andy Kaufman...
DerangedHermit Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 It's going to come down to if Manny and David Ortiz can hit the damn ball. 1 outta 2 ain't bad.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Wow, what a time to get your first hit of the series. I was about to say that Walker's inability to move Nomar along may have been the play that cost them the season. As it looks, we may just be heading back to Oakland.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Hmm.. This is all leading the Sox to some even more painful game 5 heartbreak..
Guest Anglesault Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT. Fucking worthless A's wonder why they'll never get past the ALDS. You want something done right, you have to do it yourself. Bring on Yankees-Sox ALCS.
KingPK Posted October 5, 2003 Author Report Posted October 5, 2003 That's unbelievable. I'd be damn PISSED if I was an A's fan. Well, it's all up to Oakland to win one more at home. We shall see, I guess.
JangoFett4Hire Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 A's- 8 straight losses when their opponent is on the verge of elimination... now tha A's find themselves in the same spot... Tomorrow night- Pedro vs. Zito on 3 day's rest... I dunno, I like the Sox' chances!
treble Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 I don't know if I want the Jays to model themselves after the A's anymore.
JangoFett4Hire Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Even if the A's do win tomorrow, what good will it do them to be without Mulder and possible Hudson?
Bored Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Even if the A's do win tomorrow, what good will it do them to be without Mulder and possible Hudson? Gee I don't know...go to the ALCS? I mean shit I don't care what happens if they win but I have zero confidence in this team right now so probably won't even happen. Seriously though Hudson's availability is irrelevent right now. If they get to the ALCS and get swept fine but just getting their would be great at this point. The Red Sox are cursed? I'm starting to think the A's are the ones who are cursed after how these last two games went.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Unless the big guys on the A's pull out their big sticks, Tejada stops feeling sorry for himself, and they just stop playing like complete fucking boneheads - they are going down. And it hurts me. And fuck, the Raiders lost to the Bears. What a day.
JangoFett4Hire Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Ha ha ha ha Banky- the SF Chronic said yesterday was the darkest moment in the history of Bay area baseball, with the Giants and the A's both falling... today must not be that much better!
Guest Anglesault Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 The Yankees have lowered the Boomer on Minnesota. Buh-Bye, Twinkies, thanks for coming.
Downhome Posted October 5, 2003 Report Posted October 5, 2003 Well, the Twins have totally fallen apart in the 4th. The Yankees are up to their, I believe, 13th batter now, and have put six on the board, with the bases currently loaded after two walks in a row.
