The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 3 up 3 down! Wakefield did it. And its not like the Yanks have a menacing three up in the 11th either. Have you ever watched Yankees playoff baseball? Don't fear the big names...fear the guys like Jim Leyritz.
HarleyQuinn Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Yeah..Trot is oddly dependable in pressure situations
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Nope. I'm a de facto Sox fan because of the potential benefits that are my Con law professor grading tests and papers tonight. Also, I just think it's awesome that the two "curse" teams got so far, and I can't stand the Yankees after being an Orioles fan for a long time.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Seriously, the longer the game goes, it favors Boston...Wakefield can pitch a whole game right now...rivera is toast and That leaves Jose and Weaver and maybe someone else... But why waste up your whole start rotation before the World Series? Thats what the Yanks have done...and Sox should try to avoid this.
A Happy Medium Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Why did they get rid of Varitek and Ortiz again?
Guest Choken One Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Shit. No one warming up, and Rivera's out of gas. Not good. Not good. Agreed. They shoulda saved Boomer for this. who else is left but rivera, weaver and Jose? Would they put Pettie or Mussina in?
Kahran Ramsus Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Don't you guys hate Red Sox fans? Haven't they shown to be arseholes? Yes, and I don't hate Yankees fans, but fans are not the team. I would take the fucking Braves over New York. MLB needs an NFL-style salary cap. That's what makes the NFL so interesting. KC, Carolina & Minnesota all stunk last year and out of 8 divisions, no defending champion is in first. Anything can happen (except for Cards fans).
iliketurtles Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 WHAT IS THIS UMP'S MALFUNCTION CALL A STRIKE Evidence right there Go change your name again or something...I'm fucking trying to get as much as I can out of this.

Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Mussina was already in.

Lowe, Burkett, Pedro, Wake is just as good.
HarleyQuinn Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Banky...worst comes to worst their WS Rotation could be Lowe, Burkett, Pedro/Wakefield, Pedro/Wakefield(Opposite of Game 3 Starter) for at least the 1st 4 games

But don't swear, you'd enjoy the game more if you take it all in stride instead of being a spaz.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 If changing anything in baseball is going to hurt my chances to see FUCKING SOX/YANKEES GAME 7 in the 11th INNING... I say no to the salary cap.

I don't care if Florida beats them or not, I just don't want the Yanks there. If New York wins tonight, my next game will be in April.

Thats a deathwish.
Guest Choken One Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 so whose gonna be the hero for which team? its likely to be the 25th man...
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 <----- totally neutral Rivera ever pitched 3 innings before?

The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Oh that was terrible part 2
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 The Oakland A's and New York Mets are proof why there shouldn't be a cap.

Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Who will pitcher for the Yanks next inning?
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 I see Little pulled his famous "take out all my good players in the 7th inning" move while I was out.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 You and the 30 Blue Jays fans.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Varitek woulda been huge in this position.
