I'm boycotting ROH

Right, since the whole Nick Mondo shit that went down, and what Doring said in his IWA-MS review, i've decided to boycott ROH until they get their head out of their asses. So that means I need something new to watch. The only thing is, It has to be on DVD, because my VCR is ancient and wont support American Tapes, but my DVD is multi region.So, recommened me something to watch, bearing mind the following.

 

-I wont watch Wildside because I dislike the old school mentality of the bookers, and the announcers

 

-I wont watch MLW because I dislike the current direction of the company (the six sided ring and tha matrats platform)

 

-I wont watch XPW, for the 58394373 reasons previously discussed on this board.

 

Realistically, that leaves CZW, so recommend me stuff, and point me in the direction i should go, and i might even review it for the site.

I'm watching the first Pro Wrestling Guerilla DVD right now. The wrestling is quite good, but the bonus commentary--by Excalibur and Disco Machine--is really funny. Highly recommended.

..and nothing happened to Danny Doring. Doring is ShooterJay's last name...I believe.

 

As for DVD's all I can suggest is that you check out the IWS. It seems like all of my posts these days have something to do with them. Very good company, and all the wrestlers bust their asses.

 

I'm definitely going to buy the PWG DVD when I get the money. I've heard nothing but good things about them. Also, Excalibur is one of the funniest commentators ever.

Thinking about it, If you stopped watching promotions just because someone involved acted like a jackass. There wouldn't be many feds left to watch.

 

Just don't buy for RFVideo if it bothers you, and thus you don't support the assholes. Of course you'd still have to hear their awful commentary... but that's another story.

situation goes like this,

 

Tim gets Jay harassed with lawsuit threats. Lawsuit threats which may put TSM and many of it's members in danger. (as I understand it) if he continued sniping around, especially in the tape trading folder. Given RF's total anal-retentiveness, and Tim's, it's entirely plausible a bunch of other board members could get this shit also, especially in the Tape Trading forum.

But they're dealing in something that isn't legal, which is bootlegging RoH's tapes. Now, I know RF is a hypocritical fuck and does the same shit, but the other people don't take action against RF. Feinstein just called the dealers out on it.

 

I know it sucks, but really, what can you do? In this case, the dealers are at fault. Tim's a little bitch for tattle-taling to Feinstein, but aside from being shunned by everyone, I don't think it constitutes a ban.

Exactly. Basically, Jay & his friends' tape sites have been sinned against, and thus Jay is pissed (understandably), hence he wants a ban. But really, Tim did nothing wrong. He just did something really prickish and sneaky.

 

Edit: Well, Tim got banned now anyway, so I guess there's no sense in continuing this argument. So, I guess next time when someone brags about downloading some MP3s, someone will go and rat them out to the RIAA???

I have a life- I'm a college student - I have bills, grades, and an (ex?) girlfriend all to figure out. What I do on TSM is pure leisure, and what I did (try to misguidedly help a friend out- which millions of people do), thanks to Tim, was screwing up my LIFE. This went beyond normal net flaming. It was messing with again, my LIFE. And Bob, as far as "Tim not making RF threaten me"-well, honestly, what did he THINK was going to happen?

 

Nobody should be harassed because of their hobby on the Internet (unless it's snuff donkey rape porn or whatever.) I did something that's no different from what Kazaa users are doing. And I got "RIAAed" for it thanks to him.

 

Regardless of what he did or didn't do- look on the bright side, another douchebag is gone from the forum.

Who knows- but Tim just informed Rob that there were people selling ROH tapes "illegally"- I don't see how that amounts to a banning. Rob took it from there.
