Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2004 Looks like my team's improved a bit since my slaughter at the hands of the Guerreros, going to a 4-4 tie with Whalers two weeks ago, and squeaking out a 5-3 win over the Celtics last week, despite Kenyon Martin's suspension. My team is still stuck exactly in the middle of the pack though, if i'm going to make any ground on the leaders i'll have to make a couple of moves soon. Getting Stackhouse back and having K-Mart stop punching people in the face will help matters as well.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 Well so much for timetables... I just read in the paper that Bender will make his season debut tonight. Ah well...I wouldn't have dumped any of my other guys for him anyway.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 I've proposed some 10,000 trades, so take a look. Unless some of these trades go through, no one on my team is untouchable, and even then I'll probably still deal.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 14, 2004 Fuck Charlie Ward. I pick him up mainly for his threes, so of course he goes for *0* points in his first two games with SA. So he's now on waivers, whoever's interested.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Bah... Fucking hell... Why is it now that I get some awesome trades that are making me stop and think of what the hell to do? Bah...
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Typical, Derek Anderson has a 0-10 shooting game so i leave him on my bench, where he then goes and scores 22 points and gets a handful of everything else. Still, if he can have consistently good games, instead of going good-bad-good-bad like he has since returning, he should prove to be a strong contributor for me. It looks like it's trading season all around, as i have a couple of offers on the table as well, and will probably make a couple more as well in the coming days/weeks. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 (edited) BTW Better Than Utah, I am accepting your trade. I'm just trying to get the space to accept it right now. Edit: So please let that trade stand. As soon as I can free up the last remaining space I need to, I'll finalize the trade. Double Edit: Fear The Slayers, I have a counter offer made to you. Not really going to help you as much as it could, but I'm still willing to trade. It's just I can't give you Allen. He's what Utah is negotiating with me for. razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Who wants my 3 bench forwards (Gooden, Brown, Thomas)
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I was also surprised to find Arroyo still hiding on the free agents list, good timing as i need assists and have also realised what the 3 or so other people who've owned him have probably known, that Eddy Curry is a worthless slug. This weakens my C position, though Nene should be able to hold down the position until i can find a suitable backup either through free agency or trade. Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted January 15, 2004 I'm like to get a scoring guard. I'll give you Andre Miller, a good but decidedly non scoring guard. How the hell do you play the point and hit like .1 threes a game anyway?

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Next time I let my glasses unfog before trying to make some trades. Yeesh.. Fear The Slayers and Court Jesters you have trades. And yes, CJ, that is who I meant to pick. I just couldn't see that well (just came in from outside so glasses fogged up), so that's whom I'm meaning to trade to you for whom you have. However, offer up something in return as it's just really more or less a straight up trade.

Is it a straight up trade or do you want me to add to my side of the deal? I meant the player I'm trading to you is for yours is kinda like I'll trade you a loaf of manufactured white bread, for your loaf of naturally baked white bread. ...sigh... Even that sounds fucked up. Let's put it like this, neither player is really an improvement, but more of a replacement. You can add if you want to.

Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted January 15, 2004 To Fear The Slayers - Sorry, had to reject the trade, Jason Kidd is not going anywhere ever.
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 It was worth the shot. Again, I'm open to nearly anything, provided I believe my team will improve because of the trade. That's the big kicker.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 Ok... To whoever is Fear The Slayers... Is the trade a go, or no?
Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted January 15, 2004 No, for this reason. I've already got my main three guards (Tony Parker, Damon Stoudamire, Jeff McInnis) and when you consider that Artest is a G/F, four guards then. Ronald Murray is my backup, and would be the person I dropped if I made the deal, yet his numbers are up there (somewhat) with Boykins. Boykins probably wouldn't crack my guard line-up anyway. In Brian Grant vs. Yao Ming, Yao's not playing as well as I hoped he would, certainly not well enough to justify that first round pick on him, but he does have the potential to throw down 21 and 15 like he did the other night. Grant doesn't put up those kinds of numbers. Of course, Yao also has the potential to go 6 and 6, but so does Grant. I'm still open to deals, but that deal wouldn't help me enough to make an impact. HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2004 Here's my team in another Yahoo league(Yes, I'm still POed that my account got deleted and more pissed cause I can't see my team develop *ahem*) My Roster Guards: Ronald Murray, Rafer Alston(Just picked up), Jamaal Tinsley(Just picked up), Derek Anderson(Just picked up), Sam Cassell, Eric Snow, Kirk Heinrich(Trying to trade for Ray Allen) Forwards: Walter McCarty(Picked up recently), Dirk Nowitzki, Jared Jeffries(Am thinking of dropping him but don't know who to pick up yet), Rasheed Wallace, P.J. Brown(Might try and trade him) Centers: Dirk Nowitzki, Mark Blount(Just picked up) Thoughts? I need help in FG%(BADLY) and Points but otherwise I'm solid with my surprisingly average roster as I'm currently in 5th out of 12(Go Me!!) so any tips on who to pick up, who to trade, etc. would be nice. Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2004 I continue to be teased by Stackhouse's return, his MRI was supposedly positive, but there's still no timetable for his return and now the January return that's been promised doesn't look like it'll be happening either. *gets to work building a bionic knee*
