Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 That's only because of Carlos Boozer dominating the center postion, but traded him. Uh... No, it's also because others showed up. At least for the rebounds you got me there.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 Well after looking at your team it looks like The Rookie Of the Year is the leader in majority of your stats. I only made marginal gains in assist, rebounds, steals from my trades this week. Now I need a 3 point shot champion to make my team perfect. Anybody else wants to trade? Sandman9000 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 Can you wait until you're done crushing me to make your team perfect?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 I did that last week and look what happened. More than one player having a bad week or getting injuried has killed my lead. Sandman, I would suggest that you start Devean George and Flip Murry instead of Grant and Tinsley.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 Well after looking at your team it looks like The Rookie Of the Year is the leader in majority of your stats. I only made marginal gains in assist, rebounds, steals from my trades this week. I'm alright with that. As long as he puts up, I'll be a happy guy. Seriously though, I'm happy the trade is working out for you. I was worried that suddenly it one or both guys I sent you would suddenly tank.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 Now you have to go out and beat Celtics, SHIT, Team 2003. Still trying to balance out my team from a pure shooting team to a more defensive team.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 Now you have to go out and beat Celtics, SHIT, Team 2003. Still trying to balance out my team from a pure shooting team to a more defensive team. Aw fuckers... I didn't even notice that... Aw man... Oh, and I'm just wondering, since the league is coming to a close, is anyone interested in doing this again next year? Cause I was thinking of doing that.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 I shall be Grand Slam Champion eventually. Too bad we don't use a point system like NASCAR to see who is the best.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 BTW, to anyone who wants to return, I'm thinking of changing a lot of things for next season. Also, might make it a keeper league, sorta. I'm working out the details on that.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 I am sure all the regulars will return.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 Excellent I got another trade I give up on total points for assist and 3 pointers.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 I'd like to see a different scoring system. Either rotisserrie, or a straight W/L with one score a week. This eight category scoring system KILLED my team with just three bad weeks.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 I like it this way. In rotisserrie there is not the me vs you match up and like last year more people would just give up.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted January 28, 2004 I'd like to use FG% instead of FG's made. Cuttino Mobley being a valuable player makes baby jesus cry. hopefully I won't win football again, then I won't have to handicap myself by spending high picks on injured guys. EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 I like it this way. In rotisserrie there is not the me vs you match up and like last year more people would just give up. I have no problem with head-to-head. I just think we should go with one matchup, one win, instead of having wins and losses added for each category.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2004 Well I guess we should look for other leagues besides yahoo. Is the NBA.COM one any better?
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 I like it this way. In rotisserrie there is not the me vs you match up and like last year more people would just give up. I have no problem with head-to-head. I just think we should go with one matchup, one win, instead of having wins and losses added for each category. That's how it works. There isn't any other way to work that. I'm going to see what I can do about changing the categories to at least make it a little fairer. I'm thinking of adding FG%, FT% and 3PT% just because then you'd still have three categories where if a guy shoots 24 times yet only gets 10 down, you'll see a big hit in that category. Stuff like that. I'm quite sure I can work it out so that even though we get stuck with a ton of categories, there is enough there to make it so that we don't consistantly see washouts. Well I guess we should look for other leagues besides yahoo. Is the NBA.COM one any better? I'll have to check up on that, and see if it is free. If it is, we'll use it. Assuming it is better. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 Well damn Boozer takes the day off and Ricky Davis is not his usual ball hog self Win some, you lose some. I'll have to see how my team is doing today before I'll have confirmation on whether I profitted from our trade either.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 Well Kwame Brown had a good game.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 Every game Marcus Camby plays lately just makes me feel real stupid for dropping him. Christ, today he had like 18 rebounds and the first half was still going.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted January 29, 2004 You can never feel too bad for dropping Camby. The next season ending minor muscle strain is always one minute away for that guy. I'm in for next season too, I've made a decent comeback from being the shit of the leage to the always favorible, middle of the road of the league.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 What makes my dropping Camby even worse is that while he's going great, Nene is doing absolutely jack. I also just realised Stanislav Medvedenko has been a Free Agent this whole damn time while he's been averaging damn near 20 points and 10 rebounds. Of course i realise it as soon as Shaq is back and Malone probably isn't much further off from returning. And i too will be back for this thing next year, i was in last year and i don't see myself going anywhere next year either.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 Camby finished with 24 Rebounds and 12 points... Im kinda ticked that I didn't start Baron Davis (24 points, 10 ast) but Jalen Rose did have 13 assists. I also didn't start Peterson who I picked up to replace Turkaglu, and he had 18 points. I hate nights when every single player plays and I have to sit guys. Inevitably they do better than whoever I chose to start. and...Dwayne Wade came off the IL for 15 points and 5 assists. Now I've got to drop someone...
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 Looks like a pretty damn good day for me, as both Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen pick up triple-doubles. EDIT: Although leaving Mo Taylor's 18 points and 14 rebounds on the bench is a bit of a downer. Everyone i started did decent though, so i didn't lose out too much. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted January 29, 2004 I'm... up... 7-1... on Alfdogg... I'm... up... 7-1... I'm... winning... greatly... ...wow... Pocono Poison, I've sent you a trade offer.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted January 31, 2004 I turned it down, as I really have no need for more guards. Carter and AI both dropped 31 tonight, so my fantasy team I drafted is starting to show up again.
