alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2003 Well, it doesn't help that Bonzi Wells and Eddy Curry have both been shit when this was the year I thought they would break out and become stars. Prince...I didn't necessarily think he would become a star, but I was happy as hell when he slid to round 8. I guess I should have picked Al Harrington instead. And Finley...I picked Finley...this was before the Walker trade, mind you. Had I not drafted Randolph, I don't know where I'd be...
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2003 Well Finley and Randolph had good games tonight.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2003 Well Finley should still be the go-to-guy on the Mavs behind Dirk, regardless of their recent acquisitions, IMO.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2003 I am loving Samuel Dalembert. Doesn't hurt to have him throwing me an extra 8-10 boards, 2-3 steals, and 3-5 blocks when his time comes.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted November 18, 2003 Dalembert is like Dikembe Mutumbo except mobile, so yeah, he'll give you some good numbers.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Good Lord, who is the Pocono Poison? Whoever it is, me and him have locked up in mortal combat or something. I had him down 5-3 yesterday and now it's 5-2 in his favor.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 That would be me. Alot of that is because I had no players playing on Thursday, while everyone played yesterday.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 Cripes, for most of the week i've lead my matchup 6-2 or 5-3, scores like that, and now i go on to find myself down 0-8. My team just folded up and died big time. And i've had it with Alonzo Mourning's shittiness, i'm picking up Marc Jackson for some extra center help. I don't really want to part with Caron Butler, though when Stackhouse comes back he'd probably be the first to go anyway. Of course now that i drop him he'll likely bust out with big numbers now. razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 22, 2003 The Tigers fell asleep and forgot to start the TWO~ best players on his team T-Mac and Manu. Since then in the TWO~ past days I have taken the 7-1 lead, and I thought this week was going to be competitive. Oh and Boozer is still nursing his quad. Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted November 23, 2003 I think Alkeiper may have me officially, Kidd being out kills my assist number and VINCE FRICKIN CARTER had 9 assists for him.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 Well now its time for me to sit on the lead because I have nobody playing on Sunday. I have nothing to worry about.

Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 Well unless Garnett starts playing 20 games a week my teams going to be booking a one-way ticket to the world of suck as well. *uses voodoo magic to heal Stackhouse's knee*
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted November 23, 2003 *watches Stackhouse's knee heel and then his immediate arrest for assault* Oh come on, you know it's either one thing or another with some stars, their legs are either dead or their jailbait. I'd like to take this moment to say "Fuck Karl Malone" I can't ever remember him getting this many rebounds consistently but there he is, just killing me on the boards. *sighs*
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 I took the Curry for Miles deal, al. I'm still waiting for Gwangju (sp?) White Tigers decision on a trade I offered him.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted November 23, 2003 *watches Stackhouse's knee heel and then his immediate arrest for assault* That'd be just my luck. I already have enough troubles with whatever the fuck Glenn Robinson's problem is this week, i knew i was asking for nothing but trouble when i drafted Big Dog's stupid ass. And it seems just as i give up hope on my team they come back and take back the lead in my matchup. Whenever i think i'm going good i suddenly fall to pieces, and when i count my team out they explode to life.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted November 24, 2003 Everyone else having the trend of releasing a player and him immediately going nuts? Kukoc dropped 15 2 days after I dropped him after he put up a few sorry efforts in a row. Tremendous. Looks like Alkeiper is gonna take me about 6 to 2 in our matchup, although it's gonna be close on all of them. I salute you sir, your drafting of guys who shoot a lot really did pay off. razazteca 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2003 (edited) I wonder how I will do against the best team in the league on Monday? The Wizards guards will own the 3 pointers, but hopefully Shaq will take the week off resting his big toe and quad. With Shaq out of the way I shall own the rebound and block stats. I salute you sir, your drafting of guys who shoot a lot really did pay off. I didn't intend for that to be my general strategy, but it seems to work well, as your scorers are generally good in other catagories. I find it funny that despite massive amounts of scoring, I keep losing the 3 point battles.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted November 24, 2003 Well to be fair, I do have Eddie Jones and Peja Stojakovic firing at will from beyond the arc. Kidd can get it going when he's not being a wuss and missing games because his knee hurts too. The bitch, he cost me...something, I'm sure of it.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2003 Deal between Al and Pocono is allowed. Sorry about the delay. Working night shifts at McDonald's is taking a lot of my time from me. Needless to say, it's put through.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2003 Well i hold on for the 5-3 win, but i can't keep going through these real close matchups. Something's terribly wrong when Tim Thomas is pretty much the best performer on a team that includes Garnett, Jason Terry and K-Mart. Something's also very wrong when my center gets less rebounds than everyone else on the team, including the guards and players who have missed plenty of games. Looks like my draft strategy of ignoring the Center position until the later rounds hasn't worked out very well at all.
