Sandman9000 Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Thank God I took Harrington with my last pick. I almost picked Griffin because he looked poised to have a breakout year. And by breakout, we mean breakout of jail.
Der Kommissar Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 I'll take Mehmet Okur F/C Detroit
razazteca Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 13) the pinjockey 14) Cuban Linx 15) Agent Bond34 16) Marvinslunatic My top 5 prospects for last pick is going to be the steal of the draft.
the pinjockey Posted October 17, 2003 Report Posted October 17, 2003 Larry Hughes- Guard, Washington Wizards
Cuban Linx Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 In the 8th Round, Better than Utah selects F Tim Thomas of the Milwaukee Bucks
Agent_Bond34 Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Gonna take a gamble. In the 8th round, Pogo The Monkey selects PG Kirk Hinrich of the Chicago Bulls
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 18, 2003 Author Report Posted October 18, 2003 With the last pick of the 8th Round, the Court Jesters select SG Derek Anderson With the first pick of the 9th Round, the Court Jesters select C Lorenzen Wright I wanna know how Derek Anderson fell all the way to the last round. And Lorenzen Wright is a steal in the last round as well.
Lightning Flik Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 I wanna know how Derek Anderson fell all the way to the last round. And Lorenzen Wright is a steal in the last round as well. Looking at the list, I think many people took their second SG as a 3 pointer/go to secondary guy and as for Centers... Look around, I mean, hello. People just didn't make some good choices there. ...yes, I admit I made a poor choice for my second C. Bite me.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 18, 2003 Author Report Posted October 18, 2003 I wanted a backup Center in case Z gets hurt, and I was originally going to settle for some worse choices, and then I notcied he wasn't on the list of players from Memphis taken, so I took Wright. I had him last year as well, although mainly as a backup.
Guest Just J Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Man you guys take this fantasy crap way too serious.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted October 18, 2003 Author Report Posted October 18, 2003 Man you guys take this fantasy crap way too serious. There are plenty of people who take fantasy sports way more seriously.
Guest Just J Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Man you guys take this fantasy crap way too serious. There are plenty of people who take fantasy sports way more seriously. That's sad. I never gave thought to who I'd pick until it's my turn.
Lightning Flik Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Man you guys take this fantasy crap way too serious. Nah. I just had a piss poor one in the pick'em right kkk contest (I'm not even trying to start about bravesfan's) and then I'm doing poor in the football fantasy thread. So I'm going to do good here.

Screw it I don't need 2 Centers I don't need blocks I don't need rebounds I don't need FT Melo and Pierce will take me to the promise land.
Lightning Flik Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Screw it I don't need 2 Centers I don't need blocks I don't need rebounds I don't need FT Melo and Pierce will take me to the promise land. Um... Considering that it's a "game" for each category, I think you'd be better served trying to get blocks, rebounds and FTs.
Cuban Linx Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Lorenzen should be a decent pickup, especially for the last round, but Jake Tsakalidis and especially Stromile Swift will likely eat into his minutes and production this year. I didn't think i'd get Tim Thomas as low as i did, somebody's got to score for the Bucks so he should have pretty good numbers.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 *is proud of his shitty old man center drafting of Antonio Davis* He will lead us to the promised la...he will lead us to mediocrity.
Cuban Linx Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 At least all your shitty centers will likely be playing most of the time, the Nets will probably give Alonzo limited time most of the season to protect him, and who knows when he'll go down with his kidney disease again. Knowing my luck from the Stackhouse injury, probably about 2 weeks into the season.
razazteca Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Screw it I don't need 2 Centers I don't need blocks I don't need rebounds I don't need FT Melo and Pierce will take me to the promise land. Malik Rose is my secret weapon in those stats, now if only if Timmy would not complain about playing center so much.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 I demand someone draft Kwame Brown. Or Vin Baker. They both look so sad sitting over there undrafted.
razazteca Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 I demand someone draft Mark Madson...........someone needs to be the cheerleader.
Cuban Linx Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 I may draft Kwame unless i find a decent guard still on the board. Someone else will have to provide Baker with a home.
Cuban Linx Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Next people up: Agent Bond34 Cuban Linx the pinjockey Will Scarlet Mindless Agression
Cuban Linx Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Speaking of undrafted people, i see 'Mr. Glass' Marcus Camby is still available. Now that he's supposedly healthy I wonder if anyone will draft him and take the risk that his bones shatter when he's hit with a slight breeze one day.
Sandman9000 Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 With all this center talk, it's kinda making me glad I gambled on Yao in the first round.
Agent_Bond34 Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 I demand someone draft Kwame Brown. Here, I'll do it. I need to make a pick, anyway. With the 2nd pick in the 9th round, Pogo The Monkey selects, F/C Kwame Brown of the Washington Wizards.
Cuban Linx Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 In the final round, Better than Utah selects F Chris Bosh of the Toronto Raptors. *Vin Baker sheds another tear as he isn't picked again*
Cuban Linx Posted October 18, 2003 Report Posted October 18, 2003 Next 5: the pinjockey Will Scarlet Mindless Agression Mr. J alkeiper
