This is nothing. The longest wait was between Empire and Jedi... waiting to find out if Vader was really Luke's father was torture for me as a kid.

4 years?

 

I wasn't even born when Empire came out, so that must of been torture back in the day.

I'm not overly excited about it for some reason. Maybe it was the crappy acting for the romance stuff makes me not care about the characters.

The space between Empire and Jedi was 3 years, the same as between ANH and Empire....probably just felt longer because of the cliff hanger. I was a mere 2 years old when Jedi came out, heh

That's what I meant. It certainly felt longer than 3 years to me. I was 7 when Empire came out and 10 when Jedi hit. My did pulled me out of school early so I could go to the early shows the day they opened.
