*BUMP*

It's on the Sledgehammer forums right now.

I agree with fans given the right to cheer and boo anyone they want, but most of the "FUCK YOU HARDY" and "YOU'RE A FUCKING DRUG ADDICT" chants came before the match even starTed.

I could also do without the guy by the entranceway who would've gotten his ass handed to him, if Jeff was as much as TOUCHED by the guy. Again, it's fine to give "X-Pac heat" to Hardy if he so chooses, but the unimaginative shit that guy was spewing out, was ridiculous - with children and women right there; THAT's how you sell a promotion's fanbase, right?

Commentators: "I'm a little bit embarrassed by the reaction of the fans. They do have their reasons, for booing Jeff Hardy because he's lost his passion for the business. But, Jeff Hardy actually CALLED Ring of Honor and said 'Hey, I like your product - I want to come and wrestle here.' It's very un-R.O.H.-like here, but you never know what you're going to get here".

EDIT: 75-80% of the match quality being what it is, is because of Krazy K's sloppiness. He BLOWS.

Yea- so? The fans did not like Jeff Hardy and they did not want him in Ring of Honor. What are they supposed to do?

So now we're not allowed to yell at the wrestlers? The guy does not like Jeff Hardy and was letting Hardy know about it. Did he jump the rail? No. Did he attack him? No.

I don't get how he speaks for the promotion either. He was just one guy who doesn't like Jeff Hardy.

Jeff Hardy could've proven us wrong and shut us all up. But he didn't. Fuck Jeff Hardy.

Don't forget the I-C-P.

And it goes both ways-

When the ROH fans like something- they show their respect.

They chanted 'Thank You Both' after Paul v. Dragon and have chanted 'Match of the Year' after many of ROH's incredible bouts.

I'm just wondering- what exactly did Jeff Hardy do BEFORE the match that earned him such disrespect?

Kill himself in a ton of classic ladder matches? Put wrestling over his long-term health?

Or until the very bitter end in WWE when the pain became too much, go the extra mile to entertain the fans?

The reaction he got DURING the match was fine. Hey, it WASa bad match. The reaction he got BEFORE the match was disgraceful.

Admitted he lost his passion for the busines.

I must've missed Jeff Hardy going the extra mile in his matches v. HHH and The Rock among others.

The reaction he got DURING the match was fine. Hey, it WASa bad match. The reaction he got BEFORE the match was disgraceful.

The crowd did not want Jeff Hardy in ROH. They were letting everyone know that.

Oh wow, and that's such a tremendous sin.

Please, tell me what in the world justifies people screaming "you're a fucking drug addict!" I know people who are recovering drug addicts- there are people on this board who are recovering drug addicts. It's a pain that is extremely difficult to deal with.

It's a case of "Oh, I read this on a message board! It'll be KEWL to chant this to his face!" It just shows how truly out of touch with reality some fans are.

I remember you telling me Bob "I've gained so much more respect for the business since watching ROH." If you actually endorse what happened to Jeff Hardy when he came out to that ring, you clearly have none.

Reading that made me sick.

At least Jeff said he lost his passion. I'd take Jeff's honesty over HBK's "can't do it anymore, WAIT I CAN" crap.

And did someone say 90-95% of ROH fans were smart marks? Umm....no.

Hey, same here.

I'll agree if anyone wants to boo the fuck out of him for that disgraceful match (even if Krazy K was more to blame here).

But the off-color insults beforehand, and the repeated insults by the fans afterwards, which were not even pertaining to the match itself, were just disgusting.

Jeff has been a horrible piece of shit for the last year or so, he never looked like he was even trying at all while in the ring. He came out looking like he had just finished shooting up.

Oh wow, and that's such a tremendous sin.

It is when you're getting paid lots of money, getting to wrestle for the biggest game in town and getting to work with some of the biggest stars in the industry's history.

There are people who would kill to be in the spot Jeff was in.

Please, tell me what in the world justifies people screaming "you're a fucking drug addict!" I know people who are recovering drug addicts- there are people on this board who are recovering drug addicts. It's a pain that is extremely difficult to deal with.

Jeff had the chance to go to rehab and he turned it down.

The fans did not want to see Jeff Hardy in ROH and they were very vocal about it. Jeff had the chance to prove us all wrong and he didn't.

At least Jeff said he lost his passion. I'd take Jeff's honesty over HBK's "can't do it anymore, WAIT I CAN" crap.

I hate HBK a lot more then I do Jeff.

I can see your point about booing him beforehand (even though I strongly disagree) but not booing him afterwards???

He just put on an absolute suckfest of a match. Of course the crowd is going to get on him for that shit.

I'll say it again-

Jeff had the chance to prove us all wrong.

He didn't

Wow.....by reading this thread I'm glad I don't watch, follow, or even care about R.o.H.

On WWE you NEVER see fans act that shitty towards the wrestlers besides chanting "You Suck" or "You Fucked up". But never have I heard anyone directly insult a guy to his face.

WWE fans are the good fans because no matter how bad the shit is, they are still there.

RoH fans like to pretend that THEIR promotion is the best, even though it's ran in small buildings that fit less than 800 people for an event.

Jeff Hardy busted his ass for YEARS to get his spot in WWE (don't forget, the guy was a jobber for 6 years before being given a contract to the main roster) and week after week did his bestto entertain fans. Sure, he lost his passion...I'm not surprised. He was in a dead-end role with some douche bags like keeping him down from ever making it.

When he won the Interocntinental Title, the fans actually cared for him. When he almost beat UT for the World Title, everyone believed in him. After that, he had no choice but to realize his career wasn't going anywhere, and just wanted out for a while.

How does this make WWE fans any better? ROH fans were telling the promotion they did not want Jeff Hardy.

WWE fans are the good fans because no matter how bad the shit is, they are still there.

Just like all those fans who left in 2001?

RoH fans like to pretend that THEIR promotion is the best, even though it's ran in small buildings that fit less than 800 people for an event.

It's not pretend. Ring of Honor is the best promotion that I have seen. What does them running in smaller buildings have anything to do with the quality of their promotiom?

He was an over midcard face that got high profile matches against Triple H and The Rock. Had he cleaned himself up the WWE probably would've hung onto him and given him a push.

When he won the Interocntinental Title, the fans actually cared for him. When he almost beat UT for the World Title, everyone believed in him. After that, he had no choice but to realize his career wasn't going anywhere, and just wanted out for a while.

And when he wanted back in he put on a borderline negative star match.

He could've proven us all wrong.

He didn't

Six years as a jobber before being called up :| Are you serious he was jobber for a year. Before he got signed by WWE he was tearing it up with Matt in the carolina indy circuit.

Him and Matt were both jobbers on Monday Night RAW, Superstars, etc. since 1993.

They were the Jynx Bros. for two weeks, then became jobbers again.

Another chance in 1997 ended in like a week when Kane choke slammed them both to hell.

It wasn't until 1999 when they were given their first real shot that stuck. Or If they were even on the regular roster in 1997, their first push from jobber status.

And I thank God I got off easy. Usually Barron would tear people new asses for dissing RoH.

Those weren't permenent roles though. Jobbers go threw Velocity and Heat more than they did. Its not like they jobbed almost every week for 6 years then got there pushes.

He WAS on Superstars & Raw a lot. (Either him or Matt).

Since the shows were taped usually 4 at a time (Superstars that is. Raw 3 or 4 at a time) he wouldn't be on every week anyway.

I just have a question:

If/when CM Punk or Samoa Joe, for example, blows out a knee or gets a head injury, trying to match the increasingly breakneck pace of the style ROH employs, and physically can't perform at the skill level they used to, would you give them the treatment Jeff Hardy received at DBD?

Samoa Joe and CM Punk have both been in RoH where they have busted their asses and put on awesome matches. If they get too injured I'm not going to give them a Jeff Hardy reaction, I'll be more concerned with them surviving the match.

Jeff Hardy decided that he didn't care about wrestling anymore, so why the hell did go to RoH, who's goal is to showcase wrestling as a sport over soap opera. I'm sure Bob would agree too, if Jeff Hardy had gone in to that ring and busted his ass like it was 1997 again, would the fans have still booed him? Some of them still would have, but he'd have gotten a hell of a lot more cheers than those 100 or so screaming girls.

Konnan went back a second time at ROTP and put on a damn good match and he got a decent reaction, no reason Jeff can't do the same thing.

But Jeff Hardy has busted his ass and put on awesome matches before, on a much larger stage in pressure situations. I still fail to see the difference.

As I said earlier, I *do* agree that the fans should have booed the match itself, because it was in fact a very bad match. I don't necessarily see a lack of effort in it (that's my interpretation at least), but it was bad. Krazy K was responsible for more of the fuck-uppery, but Jeff had a lot of errors too. Then again, think about it this way, if the crowd was super-hostile to you BEFORE the match and would likely boo anything you did regardless, how hard would you try? It was pretty clear, at least to me, that those fans were going to shit on Hardy no matter what.

It's the reaction before the match, where he received "Fuck You Hardy" chants and got stupid smark insults about his personal life, BEFORE he came to the ring, that irks me so much.

This match was like three months ago, RFVideo has already released it on video, which shows just how long it's been, so why don't we quit the back and forth since there will never be a finish and talk about something else?

If Jeff Hardy had busted his ass and put on great matches before on a much larger scale, why not try to do the same thing in RoH? The RoH locker room is mostly guys who are trying to make it in the big leagues and bust their ass every night in front of crowds of less than 1,000. Going out there and sleepwalking through that match was the most stupid thing he could have done.

In 1996 Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko had to to a match in Sturgis, South Dakota that none of the fans wanted to see, the time limit ran out and they cheered, they got five more minutes and the crowd booed, time ran out again and they got five more where Benoit picked up the win. That match is considered to be one of the best matches of WCW history, and the crowd couldn't have cared less. You know why? Because Benoit and Malenko busted their ass in front of fans who didn't want them there in the fist place and it really looks like a sad indictment of the wrestling fans in general.

The fans didn't want Hardy there at first, but if he had actually TRIED instead of going through the motions then the boos would have died down, they wouldn't have gone out completely because (another sad indictment of wrestling fans) that would have made the fans wrong, but a good number of them would have stopped.

I just saw the match, and really a lot of the fuck-ups were more Krazy K than Jeff Hardy.

... Does anyone else see money in some guy doing a Jeff Hardy fanboy gimmick in RoH? That could be a GREAT heel gimmick for them.

Why would Jeff Hardy go back to RoH one more time after the shit treatment he got?

He got shit on before his match, during his match, and after his match. And the match sucked I hear because of one of his opponents (I think the match was a Triple Threat but I don't follow it really so I'm trying to remember from PWI.).

If I was treated like that I'd make sure not to even try to perform in front of a bunch of jerkoffs like that.

I completely agree with everything Black Tiger said.

Yea but Jeff is the one who brought him in to show him off.

They should bring Jeff back but make him a huge heel.

Why would Jeff Hardy go back to RoH one more time after the shit treatment he got?

He shouldn't unless they make him a heel.

He got shit on before his match, during his match, and after his match. And the match sucked I hear because of one of his opponents (I think the match was a Triple Threat but I don't follow it really so I'm trying to remember from PWI.).

The match was Jeff v. Krazy K v. Joey Matthews. And it sucked. And Jeff got what he deserved.

If I was treated like that I'd make sure not to even try to perform in front of a bunch of jerkoffs like that.

The fans weren't being jerkoffs and Jeff SHOULD'VE tried. His match was a disgrace.

If I was treated like that I'd make sure not to even try to perform in front of a bunch of jerkoffs like that.

This is true and with all the hyping of Jeff's match and how controversial it is, I wouldn't be surprised if they do bring him back.

And you're right about the whole Krazy K thing. Jeff shouldn't have even brought that guy in.
