I have to agree with the few people that said the call is irrelevant and the Bucs and their fans have no one to blame but themselves or their team. Blaming the Refs is an easy out for bitter team members or fans who can't accept that they blew an easy one. It happened with Oakland against New England and with Giants and 49ers. Sometimes your team just flat out underachieves (as a Steelers fan, I can relate) but blaming the refs as opposed to your defense is just immature.

Losers make excuses; winners make plays.

I don't particularly like the Bucs, but when you lose because a guy got a second chance at the game winning kick thanks to illegal leaping, I'd say it's pretty relevant.

Christ, he jumped straight up and down! How do you gain leverage going straight up and down?

Don't you know that Simeon Rice can alter physics?

I see your point, but the Bucs blew a 21 point lead in the span of about 5 minutes. That's just plain inexcusable.

Yes they blew a lead, that's obvious thanks. I fail to see why that means we should ignore the end of the game.

Of course Tampa shouldn't have been in that situation, but they were so the ending matters.

All I know is that I'm glad I'm not a Buc player in practice today...

Sounds like most Buccs players are hurt. Besides it was the defense's fault they lost the game. Manning had all day to throw, and they single covered Marvin Harrison.

I'm thinking this game will end up on ESPN's Top 10 games of 2003.
