Buffy Thread Enters Classics?

Correct me if I'm wrong here, kiddies but shouldn't a classic thread be funny, or forum-changing, or something other then the same 12 posters pontificating about the most overrated show of the last 20 years? I mean, don't get me wrong, Mole claiming Spike/Buffy was the greatest romance of all time was stupid on levels that boggle the mind, but is that all it takes? I mean the "Wrestling's Biggest FLUCK-UPS1" should really be there before Buffy, it was funnier and didn't make me hate all of you.

 

Oh and where is Mission to 1000? At least that was funny. I'll take +1 over discussions of the pros and cons of Season 5 any day of the week.

 

Oh and the vampires on that show looked like mongaloid preppies and Christopher Lee had more talent in his little finger then the entire cast of the show.

 

I mean when comparing Buffy to such great threads as... the Bossman thread... does it match up?

He's also jealous because a Bond thread would NEVER get that many pages/discussion.

 

It is in the classic thread because it is the biggest discussion about a certain topic. I am sad that it is in there because that was where I posted the most. I had like 700+ posts there or something like that.

Yeah but Bond is far more popular then Buffy is anyway. The concept has withstood 50 some-odd years and become a permanent part of pop culture. Buffy can't claim that.

The thread meant a lot to a group of us and for the most part people who don't like the show left us alone. It means something to a bunch of us and it lasted a long time so that's why it's there.

I'd just like to state my opinions, so this doesn't get too far off track again:

 

1.) This thread certainly has a right to exist. I (or any other poster) has the right to question our mods. If you look at this objectly, you'll see that's all I'm doing.

 

2.) I started this thread because I think the Buffy thread has very limited appeal (limited to the people who like and want to discuss Buffy)and thus should not be with Classic Threads. I feel Classic Threads should be threads that "sum up" the board or become the genesis for running jokes. Buffy was simply where a few posters got together and talked about Buffy.

 

3.) My love of James Bond is irrelevent to points 1 or 2.
