alfdogg 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2003 If you live in or around Indianapolis, it should arrive in FuncoLand (GameStop, Babbages, whatever) stores this Tuesday. It may be the same for other places in the country too, not sure. But I know I'll be there the minute it arrives.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted October 12, 2003 Why don't you just wait until NBA Jamz comes out? The Live series is complete SHIT -- I'll be buying ESPN NBA Basketball, thank you.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2003 Jam came out already, didn't it? I thought I had seen it at a Blockbuster this past week.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted October 12, 2003 ESPN Basketball is apparently taking on the arcade style of play too. Which sucks a lot.

Jesse Badass 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2003 I'll be getting ESPN NBA Basketball for sure. It will be messed up if they turn ESPN NBA Basketball into the arcade style play like NBA Live. When is ESPN NBA Basketball coming out exactly?
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted October 12, 2003 Go read over IGN.com's previews for it, you'll see what I mean. I'm not saying it'll be full on arcade but it seems there are no more normal passes, just wacky zany ones.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted October 12, 2003 Sega better not fuck with the game. There's a reason why it rules and Live sucks. although I have to admit, when I was a kid Lakers vs. Celtics on genesis was the shit.

Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted October 12, 2003 I wish they would just cut out all the shitty teams like they did in that game. I mean do I really need to blow half an hour playing the Nuggets or the Bulls? Isn't it kind of obvious where that's headed?
Gert T 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2003 I got a question about Live & ESPN 2K4, what rookies will and will not be in those games.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2003 I got the game now, and I haven't checked on that, but I imagine most of the ones who were drafted are in it. The game is FAR more realistic than the 2003 version was. On 2003, my team was averaging about 250 points per game and winning by over 100 every time. The first game I played on this, I won by 7. There is no more franchise mode, now it's dynasty mode. You can only have one team in dynasty, which sucks because now I can't use a second team to trade for players to put on my team. Can't forget the sig. moves -- loved how Tom Chambers' move was unstoppable. In addition, whenever you played against the Bulls, the AI made sure Jordan only touched the ball once or twice during the entire game. Love that realism... Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2003 I wish they would bring some of that Lakers vs. Celtics flavor for the new basketball games... signature dunks and patented moves for the superstars, while keeping enough for the rest of the l to make it interesting.... I played live 2004 at gamestop friday night on the XBox.... it looked pretty damned good, aside from the very annoying slowdown in spots... I do agree that its turned into a dunkfest now... though I couldn;t get off any of my own, and I was running the Magic. I basically had to break down the defense with the freestyle moves and settle for short to midrange jumpers.. though something is wrong when Ilgauskas steals the inbound pass twice in a row and dunks it down faster than you can blink.... I didn't do badly considering, I lost by 2.

Larry Nances 360, double clutch, windmill, this is the most impossible dunk EVER, move was the shit. And Brad Daughtery...if you STEPED pass the 3 point line and hit shoot he would travel to the bucket and dunk...good times.
