Real World/Road Rules The Gauntlet

Recommended Posts

I generally find these shows very funny because everyone on it takes EVERYTHING so personally and the fights that result are just plain hilarious. A funny thing to do is go over to MTV.com and to the Gauntlet website and read some of the message board postings from cast members...jeez some of them take everything personally. Plus you get to see The Miz going on about how great Goldberg is...*choke*

Oh and if you are watching...who is your favorite cast member?

I'm going to have to go with Sarah. Mainly because she's from Oklahoma(the same town as Charlie Haas...though he's much older than her) and I gotta stick by my fellow Oklahomans. Hey this state sucks so much it's great when one of us gets on TV.

You know Goldberg, Charlie Haas, Sarah, Me......yep it's tough being a Survivor Celebrity(lays back and revels in his 2 minute survivor appearance)

the best is the girls always play dirty and screw over their team by eliminating their strongest teammates, for personal "nah nah I hate you cause you have bigger boobs than me and the guys look at you more than me" type stuff.....just atrocious behaivor.

I dig Sarah, because she is getting so fucked over. I like the underdog.

I found it funny as hell that the one girl was complaining about sending David to the gauntlet in the first episode. "He is our strongest guy, and we shouldn't be risking him." But seriously, first of all any water missions he is done and secondly how many missions do they have where it is "Here, lift as much weight as possible."

I know. And Veronica seems to be the biggest shit starter this time...at least Emily isn't on the show. Jesus that girl had issues.

"Oh I hate you all and I want to win! I'll do anything to win! Oh wait my boyfriend is leaving so am I! Bye!" God what a whore.

Yeah...anybody seen The Miz wrestle?

God I LOVED that season! Just classic back stabbing shit. Oh and the one before was the two Road Rules cast members (don't remember their names) who were married and very religious but wanted to go out of their way to screw everyone else over. The Real World/Road Rules Challenges are so much better than the shows they come from now. Too bad Beth from Real World L.A. isn't on this one because it was always funny how'd she get everyone to hate her from day one and they'd vote her off first.

This week's episode should be classic..Trishelle the bimbo showing she can't ride a bike. Bwahahahaha

Yah I remember the battle challenge show with Holly & Chadwick, the holy rollers who were so good that they wanted to fuck everyone over.

Veronica should be the last person trying to backstab people considering it has been done to her twice and now she is finally on a challenge show without Emily to do it again.

I hate Matt sooooooo fucking much. His god shit is so motherfucking annoying.

I missed the first episode of the season, did Matt try to interject his god stuff into missions or something?

When the team got to the mansion and talk strategy he immedately started talking about his program, and his morals, and how he won't do anything to go against them...blah blah blah.

I really loved when he was talking to the girls and mentioning how he thinks it is sad that men look at their boobs and how sad it is that women get pressured into getting implants.

The moment they all stepped off the plane, Matt was going on about how he was gonna save people from debauchery. And in that first ep, every single sentence out of his mouth during those short interview bumper things was spoken like a preacher. And once it came to light that people disliked his rhetoric, he claimed that he was "one against many" or some shit like that, as if he were a martyr.

He's seriously seems like a piece of shit.

"Hi, my name is Matt. I run a program for youths called the LifeTeen program. As the leader of this LifeTeen program, I can't do any missions that go against my beliefs. If they have a mission wanting us to get naked, I won't do it because I can't go back to the program after that. LifeTeenLifeTeenLifeTeen."

Paraphrased, also note he was wearing a LifeTeen shirt during this.

What a dork, why is he even a part of this? Probably just to push his rhetoric.

The New Orleans Real World doesn't have many people to represent it. Matt is horrible, but if they brought back Julie or Melissa I would drive to the MTV building and strangle someone. And they already have David, and a token gay guy from a different season.

I'm having trouble getting into it because they have too many people from the most recent seasons and I have no idea who the hell they are.

The last two seasons of the Challenge have been great, though. Hell, the 2000 Challenge was pretty damn good, too.

Veronica = hotness.

I'm with Lando ... too many new people who I don't know that well, or find interesting enough to really care about.

Having said that, though, I'll be watching until the girls that I dig are eliminated. MTV is smart, even when they're placing the show in the middle of Colorado they make a bunch of the events to be aquatically themed.

Water = bikinis. And bikins = ratings.

D is the most correct statement in this freakin thread. THAT is one fine woman.

They should have brought back Jamie from New Orleans, that guy was insane.

As for the current Challenge: Meh. It seems decent enough, but it's taking soem time to get into it. Maybe someone will snap and we'll have a huge fucking brawl for once.

This show doesn't have the spark or intrigue of RW/RR challenges of the past. There is only one reason I watch this season.

Veronica.

Seriously, that is one hot chick and I think she likes rough sex.

Veronica was in Playboy a couple years ago, I believe along with Jisela and Beth (Osama Beth Laden).

Last season's challenge was great because of Puck. It started with the Puck/David confrontation and that just got everything going smoothly. That's what we need.

I can still hear David's whiny voice screaming "That man spit in my face!"

I'm feeling the lack of Jisela's ass. Her ass deserved its own intro in the beganing. Now I can just stare at Veronica and Coral. If they get eliminated, I'm outta there.

Is Veronica the one that Emily hated and got rid of last year? If it is, then yes she is hot, but that other chick that Emily got rid of cause she had bigger boobs than her was also hot, she is also on this challenge. I am talking about the one last year who when eliminated had the big, "the inner circle is bullshit....it's dirty" speech.

That'd be Rachel ... who I have to agree is smoking hot (hotter than Veronica, in my eyes.)

Only issue with Rachel is that she "prefers the company of women", which is great and all but means that she wouldn't sleep with me. Which isn't great and all.

I'm sorry but I think Sarah's hot. I'm probably the only one that thinks so but hey...I umm...dig her I guess. To bad she moved to NYC...if she still lived in Edmond I'd go over there "Hey baby...I'm here to fufill your wildest fantasies....growwwwlll...."

Oh go to the Challenge site and then go to Trishelle's Message board postings...she's such a bitch.

I watched both episodes last night and it was entertaining as always! I can't seem to get into the new RR or RW shows but I love it when they have these all-star games! There are a bunch of people from the newer shows that I don't know or care about but Elka is there so it's all good.

BTW, why does Montana have to cry in every episode that she's in? It's funny that Miz tried to blow smoke up her ass by telling her they needed a strong competitor to enter the gauntlet. He's already got the politics aspect of wrestling.

I know. I was saying that they should actually have

Real World vs. Road Rules vs. Tough Enough. Because I mean what better to teach aspiring young wrestlers all about the politics and backstabbing of the business? Oh plus Tough Enough would win most physical challenges anyways...
