Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Why can people never understand that just because you don't like a band or group, doesn't mean they are a bad band or group. I dislike TOOL, but I don't consider them a bad band. Point taken. On that note, I'll change my answer to Deadsy. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about Deadsy, and I would say they suck more than any band has sucked before them. Deadsy's better than Orgy.

Anakin Flair 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Any of the fax-80's type rock bands. I can't think of any names, but I keep thinkg of The Stripes or The White Stripes or somehting like it...
Kinetic 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 None of those bands are faux 80's anything. Their style of garage rock is basically 60s based, starting with The Kinks and shooting off into a lot of the stuff on the Nuggets compilation. "Louie Louie" and stuff like that. I'd like to nominate the Eagles and second the Def Leppard nod.
Slayer 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Metal/Rock: Kiss. They created the popular form of metal for showmanship over substance, and essentially begat future pop metal bands like Poison and Shrimp Bizkit. Although I enjoy some of their songs, such legacy is not so forgivable Rap: Ja Rule. Made his career from ripping off Tupac Country: Shania. Pure disgrace to the genre, nuff said. C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 I can't believe people would call some of these bands the Worst Ever. Pink Floyd? The Doors? Styx?????? Def Leopard???????? I thought this thread would be full of bands like Air Supply and that shit.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Currently it's Saliva. Other worst bands ever: Def Leppard Soul Asylum Uncle Kracker Surprisingly No MetallicA eh AoO Cliff Burton's existence keeps them off the worst bands ever listing, but they're definitely among my top 5 least favorite, along with those 4. Sisqo and Eminem are not to be left off of my least favorites, either. The Monkees, Smash Mouth, and Garth Brooks round out my top ten.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Now that I think about it, Aqua is also utterly horrible. The lyrics are revoltingly stupid, the vocals are a mix of ridiculously helium-influenced or just simply BAD (The male vocals especially. Who decided THAT guy should be singing?). At least ICP... uh.... y'know.... I dunno, but Aqua's still worse.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Hey man...The Monkees are grossly underrated. And If you must use one of the garage rock reinvented bands, don't use The White Stripes. They are by far the best band that hit it big during that short fad.

Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2003 Um, yeah. IMO the only ones that even sound alike are The Strokes and that one band that just started getting popular, what is it, The Jets? The Vines are the equivalent of a cover band, really. Their music can be catchy, but it's really just sort of like "Hey, didn't Nirvana do this song?", "Hey, didn't the Beatles do this song?", or "Hey, didn't STP do this song?" The Donnas are utter shit. All their songs convey an utterly preppy "Teenage Schoolgirl Flirts with Rebellion" message and they really don't deserve the fame they got. The Hives are really the most rock-oriented of all the bands lumped together, as The Strokes seem to be flirting with new wave stuff and the Stripes seem to be flirtng with blues. The Hives are just Swedish garage rock and IMO, if their name wasn't "The ____", they wouldn't be associated with these other bands. I'm not even going to bother describing the Strokes or the White Stripes since I'm having problems doing so. Anyone else like to take over?
