An Idea Guaranteed to make WWE Money

I have a way for the WWE to make an ASSLOAD of money by doing NOTHING.

 

1. Go through the massive tape library (WWE/WWF, WCW, ECW, AWA)

 

2. Look at all the matches and assign each a "Points value" based on importance and quality.

 

3. Put this info in a big catalog

 

4. Offer 25.00 for a "10,000 Point DVD" and 15.00 for a "5,000 Point DVD". Let the fans pick any combination of matches that add up to their amount and charge them the amount in exchange for the DVD.

 

 

In short, become the biggest, most profitable tape trading place EVER.

Here's how I'd do it.

 

Charge $ 5.00 for a Complete catalog of the WWF/WWE, WCW, OVW, SMW, ECW, and AWA matches offered. (they don't have to file them all at once, they can have "updated versions" and such.)

 

Assign each match a number (E67R510 or something), grroup them and give each a points value. Enclose order forms where the people write the ID Number of the matches they want and what size DVD they want. They send them in. (Ideally the library would be organized so matches would be easy to find by their ID Numbers) The guys put the matches on a DVD. Put it in a DVD case that says "YOUR NAME'S PERSONAL WWE DVD #001" or however many DVD's you've ordered, and ship it.

Screw the idea of writing stuff to them.

 

Just have them offer a catalog to the public, and to make your choice and to place an order, have it so you can do it either online or on the phone.

 

Just like Columbia House has it set up. Just instead of picking different DVDs, you pick the matches.

Two more things to think about:

 

1. Think how much money tape traders make off of footage that they don't own or have any rights to. Think if 70% of that money spent was suddenly the WWE's. Think what a gigantic financial boost that would be.

 

2. By looking at what current wrestlers get the most match requests we'd finally have the most fool-proof way to see which wrestlers the people REALLY want to see in the ME.

I'd hand out $25 for a four hour custom DVD. This is the right idea...they'd only have minimal in house cost for promotion , packagin, etc. of the DVD. Instead of having a physical catalog, just set up a web based catalog.
