Guest TonyJaymzV1 Report post Posted October 17, 2003 The Rotweilers over RCE, Wagner Brown and Sonjay Dutt, and Danny Doring and Josh Daniels Strkyer over Sabin (sabin bled heavily) Cabana ovr BJ in a hilarious match Maff Over Rave in a slaughter Special K over Backseat Boys Xavier pin Walters, beating him, MarkBriscoe, and Homicide-MOTN Styles over Punk Raven over Credible Joe over Jay the show was great, special k are champs Not one match was subpar, the only complaint was the rave/maff match was a total squash. Top Pops 1. Juliius Smokes(Super over, had the crowd in hishand) 2. Jay Briscoe(everyone wanted him to win) 3. Ring Crew Express (Virginia is for lovers, Maryland is for rockers) 4. AJ Styles(he's, uh, phenomenal) 5. Homicide(187 Chants abound) number six would be Sabin, Hail Sabin! Top Heat 1. Samoa Jo(left to "Fuck You Joe chants) 2. CM Punk( Maryland likes to drink) 3. Justin Credible("Just Embarrasing") 4. Xavier(Your no rocky, says Smokes) 5. Matt Stryker( He almost killed Sabin on a powerslam, and the crowd just tore him a new one) Sabin bled hardway, i think he broke his nose. It was gushing. Nothing was under ***(cept Rave/Maff), and ROh said theyd be coming back in Jauary and July. Oh and Prince Nana got killed by Samoa Joe to start the show. Yeah the crowd was stunned wen K won, it ws like "wait...thats, um, yeah, no" The crowd HATED Stryker, almost as Much as they hated Joe. The Marcos of RCE is real shot...just saying...cool guys though. Hollywood Report post Posted October 17, 2003 Izzy and Dixie, by themselves, are an AWESOME tag team (YOUTH GONE WILD~!) but the problem again is, they'll "Freebird/Demolition rule" the belts, an angle I not only hate (imo, the tag team champs should be TWO PEOPLE) but has already been done in ROH with Daniels/Morgan/Xavier. Guest ToddRoyal Report post Posted October 18, 2003 If you read the "official" results on ROHWrestling.com, they mention Kashmere "leaving in disgust" after the title loss. It certainly sounds like the BSB are going to be breaking up, and/or Johnny's going to be leaving for a while. That sucks, because the Backseatz are one of the best Indy teams around, but it'll probably lead to more Acid singles matches, which have been really good in ROH. Th crowd didn't hate him at first, some guys chanted Unibrow(this guy behindme started comparing him to Bruce Cambell, which was pretty funny) The crowd turned on him when he almost killed Sabin with that powerslam, and since the crow was majorly pro-Sabin, Stryker turne into Hitler. To Matt's credit, he really started heeling it up afterwards, and had the crowd hot. Sabin won't get banned, i im not mistaken, hardway bleeing doesnt get someone banned, aslong as they clean itup quick, etc. which ROH did fast, ehll, one guy threw his own shirt into the ring for Sabin "Can I get a Sain shirt now?" They have a few talented members, but the key is to now let them have actual tag matches rather than spotfests. Spotfests are entertaining, sure, but shouldn't be in the title picture in my opinion. It may turn out okay, but for now I hate it. I love Matt Stryker. I wouldn't mind seeing them play off of this and turn him heel to give him the personality to go with the excellent wrestling. It is not like he is being burried. His matches in ROH so far: - 6/14 vs. Homicide vs. John Walters vs. Justin Credible (Wasn't Pinned) - 6/28 vs. AJ Styles (NWA Heavyweight Championship) - 8/9 vs. Homicide - 9/6 vs. ROH Champion Somoa Joe vs. Jay Briscoe vs. AJ Styles (Was Pinned) - 9/20 vs. Colt Cabana vs. Matt Stryker vs. AJ Styles (Wasn't Pinned) - 10/16 vs. Matt Stryker (Field of Honor) All of his matches have been against high profile guys and he has been in some pretty high profile matches. He is real over and will continue be. Just because he's not winning doesn't mean he is not getting pushed or is being thought of as an afterthought. I'll take Sabin not winning matches if that means him in good, big matches like he has been in. Once the Field of Honor is done I would expect he will start picking up more wins. RIght now he is just being used as the guy who can be put in big matches, but because he isn't at the level of the others in those matches, he doesn't win. He's still got one more loss coming up probably as he faces Xavier in the Field of Honor. John Walters (This is his first ROH show I believe, and I doubt they were going to put him over Homicide this fast.) - 6/28 = v. AJ Styles (NWA Title) (Well, they're obviously not going to put him over Styles in a title match.) - 8/9 = v. Homicide (Once again, I don't think they'll put him over Homicide, who was going into his big match with Corino.) - 9/6 = v. Jay Briscoe v. Samoa Joe v. AJ Styles (Styles can't do the job because he's the NWA champ, Joe's title wasn't going to be on the line, and Jay was getting ready for his title bout. Sabin probably shouldn't have been pinned, but logically, it didn't make sense for him to win.) - 9/20 = v. Colt Cabana v. AJ Styles v. Matt Stryker (I guess you could make a case for Sabin going over here but Colt's on his uber push, so he was going to take this. Styles winning would've done nothing for anyone.) - 8/16 = v. Matt Stryker (Stryker's another guy on a big push. Most expect him to go to the end of the FOH. I would've put Sabin over here because even if Stryker goes to the end of the FOH and maybe wins, then you have a built in feud with Sabin ready to go.)
