You've only got a minor league contract right now, FS, which doesn't describe how much money you have. The game doesn't have signing bonuses, either. Sorry. :)

What are my team's colors?

Never really had any specific colors for the Twisters, so feel free to just make it up.

Since MVS is on vacation, I went through with the trade:

Sergio Santana has been traded to the Vasectomy for Van Siclen, and Tipsy Gesner has gone to New Orleans for John Scherfenberg.

Now, it's time for spring training.

Evo, what about the trade I mentioned? Frost or maybe Big Red to Atlanta for some third rate left fielder. And also a good closer.

I just hope Gonzo gets a lot better in spring training...which he won't.

Atlanta can afford Big Red, but it's up to Rob to see if he wants to go to that team.

Oklahoma Twisters 1st round pick Frigid Soul is just what this young franchise needs. He's a future ace and workhorse with great stuff. Hard moving fastball and a big swooping curveball. In a couple more years this team may be something to truly be reckoned with

They obviously grabbed the best pitcher available in the draft but they're still a ways away. Shiro Suzuki isn't getting any younger and they'll really need to start building up their position players. You know this is very interesting though...with the drafting of Frigid and the signing of Marvin this team has a chance to at least be respectable this year.

Well we shall certainly see. Thanks guys.

Oh man, Frigid.

Excellent stuff. I feel like I should do this with every monthly update going around the SFBL.

Yay for good batting practice sessions. Maybe he'll finally hit above .260 in a season for the first time since his rookie year.

OPENING DAY 2017

Montreal Fritures de Liberte @ Boston Tea Baggers

Boston scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth in a late comeback over Montreal 2-1.

Jonathan Dehn went 0-for-4 in his Montreal debut, striking out once.

Phoenix Ashes @ Seattle Frasiers

RJ Frost went 2-for-3 with one run scored, two RBI and a walk with a 2-run homerun in the seventh inning, but it simply all wasn't enough to beat the Ashes as they came out on top 6-4.

Rolf Dreikugeln pitched one and one-third innings to capture his first save of the season.

Las Vegas Jokers @ Los Angeles Glory Holes

Edward James went 2-for-3 with a 2-run homerun in the first inning, but was ejected in the fifth inning for arguing a strike three call. David Hunter went 0-for-4, and Austin Sly also went 0-for-4 but his sacrifice fly with one out in the bottom of the tenth gave Los Angeles the game-winning run in a 5-4 victory over the Jokers in ten innings.

Denver Douchebags @ Oklahoma Twisters

Denver shelled Oklahoma early and they did not look back as Shiro Suzuki went 0-for-3, Timothy Marsch was also hitless in four at-bats, and Jenkins ended up lasting only six and one third innings, losing in his first start of the season, a 7-1 loss to the Douchebags.

Jenkins gave up five runs in the top of the second inning to Denver.

Detroit Motor Vehicles @ Columbus Pride

Logan Caldwell went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs scored with a walk as the DMV narrowly beat the Columbus Pride 5-4.

Jacksonville Jackoffs @ New Orleans Crunk Machine

Tipsy Gesner was solid in his first Crunk Machine outing as Paco Fernandez went 2-for-5 with one run scored, and Winston Ghandi went 1-for-4. Mike Van Siclen was 1-for-3 in his Crunk Machine debut, and New Orleans captured a 2-1 victory over the Jackoffs in ten dramatic innings, capped off by a two-out solo homerun by Santiago Gomez of New Orleans.

Atlanta Hanoi Janes @ Charlotte Harlots

Carlos DeSantis went 1-for-4 as Eric LeBeau gave up ten hits in eight and one-third innings, giving up four earned runs all told as Atlanta won 5-1. Charlie Matthews went 0-for-2 with two walks, and Joseph Corbin was 0-for-4.

Kansas City Real McCoys @ Memphis Eels

Adam West went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts and a walk as Kansas City barely lost to Memphis 4-3.

Vancouver Vasectomy @ New Jersey Clerks

Robert Henderson started yet another season with a .250 batting average, his only hit a solo homerun in the top of the eighth with one out as he went 1-for-4 with one strikeout in Vancouver's 4-1 victory over the Clerks.

Houston Horny Toads @ Indianapolis Ignition

Patrick Hannon went 0-for-4 in Houston's 4-1 loss to the Ignition on Opening Day.

Soon, the April 2017 update...I might just tackle this idea that FS put out with the analysts.

I wouldn't say it was so much an idea but more of boredom combined with wit and creativity. I blame cable having nothing good on.

Did I make the opening day roster or am I in the minors?

#4 starter on Oklahoma.

Only because you have three fairly good pitchers ahead of you. It's like being tied for first.

Sweet. I should be able to make a good impact as a #4. I await the results of my first ML start. Strikeouts, hits allowed, IP, and earned runs will hopefully be brought up just so I can see what I'm like.

Edit: And walks

I'm open for a trade to Atlanta or any team that had a winning record last year

Well, New Orleans didn't have a winning record last year, but they can afford you now if you want to go play for them.

I just noticed while looking at my guy's character page that he's injury prone. Does the comp automatically make you whatever they want in that category?

Oh, and does Gonzo not have the #1 pitcher spot in Atlanta? Or did he just have nothing impressive in the opening day? Just curious.

Paul Lewis bumped Gonzales down to #2.

And FS, yes, the game automatically determines how safe a player is from injury.
