AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Well, neither Flair or Taker have about 40 extra pounds of water weight. Because they don't need it, and neither does Trips. Of course, if we discount the theory that Trips is on roids but his body can't handle it, then there's something else causing all the muscle-related injuries. Regardless, Trips has no reason to look the way he does. His ring style doesn't require him to be bulky and muscular. It's just the style of a poor man's Ric Flair, and doesn't have a lot of power moves mixed in which would at least justify his appearance. Plus, he was fine in 99/00 anyway. Plus, at least in UT's case, he is much smarter about time off. Remember a few years ago he had the groin trouble. Instead of rushing back to protect a spot, he took a few months off to rest it and I don't recall hearing problems about it since. Well, Taker has built up a lot of good will and respect with Vince from working with him for so long. On the other hand, HHH isn't as secure and is always paranoid about anyone that might show up to take his spot. So him taking time off to shoot movies surprises me--but I guess he figures his position is secured at the altar. I have no interest in him at all, but if marrying Steph will cause him to be less paranoid and more motivated in helping out his opponents, then I can put up with him for the year or so longer he'll be around until he's forced to retire from all the accumulated injuries. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 UnderKirby I was thinking more of Buu. However, if Dragon shows up after this, we know he just regurgitated him so he's not dead or anything. UnderKirby would only be able to hold one Cruiser and his set of skills at a time, though.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 20, 2003 If there is a Dark Match and no one sees it...Does Ultimo dragon exist?
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 This is all very confusing.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Well, Nathan Jones' only trace of existence is appearing in the S.D.! opening, and sightings from terrified fans who have seen him here and there (probably developmentals).
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Maybe that is why we haven't seen Jones. In preparation for the return of the deadman gimmick, UT has Jones locked in a closet, ready to eat to get rid of all traces of workrate.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 This is all very confusing. Meh. It's easy. KirbyTaker ate the "evil" Ultimo and assumed his powers to fight for the good of the wrestling world against Brockzilla. A mighty class ensued and although Brockzilla got the upperhand over KirbyTaker because of King Vinny-Vinny managing to distract our hero; KirbyTaker managed to make a hasty retreat to where he'll regurgitate Ultimo and then probably gobble up London (Paul, not the city) and then bring King Vinny-Vinny down. Edit: Of course, King Vinny-Vinny wins another round but after SurvivorSeries, KirbyTaker will eat Nathan Jones and THEN~! Hell comes back as KirbyTaker no sells everything to destroy King Vinny-Vinny.

RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 I think pinjockey has it right. Then maybe he can be Undermilker, the Decade of Dairy.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 I think Undermilker could be money. Just imagine in the buried alive match. UT gets buried, Vince celebrates, then all of a sudden two streams of milk squirt through the dirt to free UT.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 The scary thing is... ...I CAN imagine that. *imagines dolls of Undermilker with squirting action* "*BONG* Deadman Milkin... You've done it now, you gone and made a big mistake, you milked a cow, when you should have milked big bad take..."

UnderKirby would only be able to hold one Cruiser and his set of skills at a time, though. Actually, if you played Kirby on N64, you'd realize that was wrong. Two is Kirby's max in that game. ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Oh, just had an intersting thought. What if, insted of returning to full classic Taker, he has a mix of classic, demonic, and biker Undertaker? He dresses like a more modernized Classic Undertaker... Has music and lighting effects of demonic Taker (the theme that he had on WWF Music Volume 3 works) And the motorcycle and workrate of current Taker?
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Oh, then I shouldn't bring up the Moo-nistry of Milkness.
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 I can't really picture him in the deadman get up riding to the ring on a motorcycle. I can picture him, however, riding down to the ring, but accidently spraying milk in front of the bike causing him to crash into the crowd.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 20, 2003 so he wears black wetsuit with the carved out "symbol"...with his crew cut...has the Metallica Cemetary music and ride a motorcycle with Paul Bearer rising from the smoke?
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Taker should have the *lights out, lighters up, "bong" entrance from around Mania 12/13.* the workrate and MMA-incorporation of Today, and the bodybags and mullet of when he debuted... oooh, scarrrry! the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 If Abe Vigoda follows Bearer on a unicycle, I am all for that idea.
Guest TheGame2705 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 I think a modernized version of the Undertaker look would be badass. It'd also justify his name. He wouldn't have the hat or bandana but he'd have the motorcycle his Ministry music and his attire from 1997-ish.

Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Meh. I'm not enamored of either incarnation, but if I had to pick one, I'd take the current Taker.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted October 20, 2003 If they bring Old School Taker back they should dust off the old Gangrel entrance and with a totally dark arena and the BONG going off, have the dead man rise from the circle of fire. <-- Big mark for Circle of Fire
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted October 20, 2003 Good, I'm tired of him biking to the ring and talking about people invading his yard, like some crotchety old man on his porch
Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2003 Besides Taker had what ONE good match as the dead Man? (I count 90-96 as the real DEADMAN) the 97-99 stuff he was just a demonic soap opera character... I'll take the MMA Influenced American Badass over that. Just as long as he keeps eating cruiserweights for lunch. Ok, did you consider the types of opponents he had during that era? He isn't Flair, Choken. You've got Giant Gonzalez, Kamala, an unmotivated Hogan, Mabel, Damien Demento, Yokozuna, and the entire Million Dollar Coporation. I'd love to see a return to the Deadman character we saw from late 1996 to late 1998. He was still the Deadman, albeit a more "realistic" one. I don't get all the love for Taker all of a sudden. I give him props for trying to create a moveset, but people are suddenly acting like he's the mold for what every wrestler should be just because he's breaking out a couple new moves.
