Guest The Last Free Voice Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 I don't think so, but it could happen. What do you think?
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 He has a better chance today than he did yesterday...I'll say that much. I know what they SHOULD do...but that's probably not what they WILL do.
Guest The Last Free Voice Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 Is Jarrett really that bad of a face champ? Sure he kicks out of everything but he is OVER with the local hick-marks.
Chuck Woolery Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 I highly doubt Jarrett would be a face champ if he snagged the belt tonight.
Corey_Lazarus Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 Jarrett's not as over as you think he is, LFV. Remember the crowd chanting "Triple J" after he beat Raven? Many fans don't want to see JJ anymore, especially in the position they have him in. That said, AJ will still lose tonight, JJ will be all "I'm an entertaining heel, but I guess I'll book myself as a face" for a few, and live attendance will drop.
eirejmcmahon Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 I'd say chances are good that he will - it's the logical thing to do now.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 Like I said... No one wants JJ to win the title...but most people excepted it since the Hogan feud was coming up. But it's not coming anytime soon now...so if JJ wins...it helps NO ONE and accomplishes NOTHING. I hope they put Styles over as a nice surprise...but I can hear the booking meeting right now in my head "We'll use the extra time to get Jarrett really over as a heel champion"!.
Astro101 Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 If Styles wins, then that would mean he and JJ will feud some more to set up a future match for the title. But then Jarrett would have already had his title shot and must find a way to get another.
Styles Posted October 22, 2003 Report Posted October 22, 2003 Your question becomes then, Jarrett chases Styles for his rematch for 4 months, beats up Russo and finally gets it. Lets say he loses. Ok 2 points: Where does AJ go from here? And since it's inevitable that Jarrett get the belt back, what excuse could he use to get ANOTHER rematch. I say Jarrett wins the belt tonight regardless.
tpww7 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Jarrett won...everyone is pissed as expected.
