Matt Young 0 Report post Posted October 22, 2003 Lately I've been trying to find a job where I can work at home and still make enough money to support myself. The first thing I tried didn't work out, so I was wondeirng if any of you work from home, what you do, and if you could give advice on how to obtain such a job? Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 23, 2003 Sell some drugs. Sure, there's a risk factor, but if you do it right, you could be stinkin' rich.
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 Would becoming a gigolo count as working from home?
Guest EQ Report post Posted October 23, 2003 Probably the easiest way to get a job where you could work from home would be to start your own company. I know working from home is becoming a little more common these days, but I think most companies would prefer that their employees came to the office every day. If I were running a company, I think I would.
dubq 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2003 I do mostly graphic design [print and web] and even though I do have a 9-5 job, all I need to do is give 24 hours notice and I am allowed to work from my house. ;p
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2003 Hmm... interesting. Thanks for the replies. The ad I replied to in the paper was a scam, but I only lost $25 for "shipping costs and materials" so it's not a big deal. I was looking for legitimate employment, but believe me, I have considered selling drugs. Well, not drugs, just one. Marijuana. I have some great seeds I got from Canada when I was up there, and I know a lot of people who want weed. The stuff these seeds are from is better than anything here. Usually, people charge $50 an eighth for the best bud around here, so if I grew this stuff which is far superior and sold it for slightly less, I could make a killing. I may just do that... The only problem is that this is a small town (Springfield, despite being the capital, only contains 111,000 people) so that may limit my opportunities. Hell, if anyone has any tips, feel free to aid me in my life of crime. From honor student to drug dealer... ha, my teachers would be so proud. Anyway, if anyone has any recommendations for legitimate work at home jobs, let me know.
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2003 Why exactly do you want to work from home? I mean other than the fact you don't have to shower, dress, or leave the house. Is there any other reason?
Matt Young 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2003 Why exactly do you want to work from home? I mean other than the fact you don't have to shower, dress, or leave the house. Is there any other reason? I have no car, I'm not a morning person, and pretty much everything you listed. I can't properly motivate myself before noon. The fact that I'm an insomniac doesn't help. So while I would have problems getting up, getting ready, and getting to work (which takes longer with no car, obviously), it wouldn't be that big of a deal if I didn't have to do much more than roll out of bed. Guest EQ Report post Posted October 24, 2003 Personally, if I haven't showered and done the whole morning routine, I can't function for the rest of the day. So I guess I wouldn't be able to work from home because I know I'd get lazy
OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2003 Back during the internet boom a few years ago, these jobs were easier to find because companies were growing so rapidly they didn't have space to put people. Nowadays, its hard enough to find any job, let alone one you can telecommute to. Most companies I know allow you to work from home on occasion, but require you in the office most of the time. Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2003 My advice for your drug selling is to sub contract. You just supply, get some other suckas to push it for you.
