Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Contracts are what did WCW in.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Do you realize that you have a greater chance of hurting other fans instead of whoever your aiming at? If i go to a concert and go into the pit, there's a pretty reasonable chane that either a- I'll kick someone in the head by accident b- someone will kick me in the head by accident either way i'm not bothered
Guest TDinDC1112 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 AMW won last night, they didn't job Yeah I know, stupid observer. Saying that AMW still suck, to the point where VKM wont even go near them, and WHO THE FUCK ARE THE NATURALS???????? I will punch you in the nose
ChrisMWaters Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 I was "distraught" about them cancelling a show As for the throwing garbage into the ring. WCW told fans not to do it, AND booked Jarrett on top, and look at where they are now Yeah, like throwing garbage in the ring has ANYTHING to do with WCW going out of business. Every wrestling event I've been to...hell, every SPORTS event I've been to...has told you not to throw stuff to where the athletes are performing. It's a courtesy to the people performing.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 I will punch you in the nose Its happened before, so youre welcome to try, and for bigger reasons than not giving a shit who two jobbers are
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 You choose to step into a mosh pit but you don't choose to get hit in the face with a drink and risk eye damage from the straw.
Guest TDinDC1112 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 I will punch you in the nose Its happened before, so youre welcome to try, and for bigger reasons than not giving a shit who two jobbers are Since you depend on the observer's website for your TNA knowledge to form you opinions since you don't actually watch the show, I thought you'd recognize one of Bryan Alvarez's classic responses to a pain in the Ass comment board poster - guess not.
Zack Malibu Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 This is getting really repetitive now, and not in a good way.
Guest Dave O'Neill, Journalist Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Well, I apologise Zack, but Mad Dog here is determined to crush free opinion about TNA, and, you know, I'm A Journalist, into free speech and all that
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 There are posters that you can't have a discussion with...and while 1Inch is certainly that type... he is also the kind of poster that can ruin discussion for an entire folder. There are several posters that enter this folder to criticize TNA and they are more than welcome, hell they are ENCOURAGED, to do so as it breeds discussion...which is the intended prupose of the folder. I'm going to issue a warning to 1inch. I've looked through the official rules and there really isn't a point he's broken...but his inane, ignorant posting is hurting the board. If you have a problem with that, take it to Dames. If you have a problem with me, take it to Dames. If you choose to not heed the warning and respond with flaming than you will be banned. That will make your issues with it much harder to repair. Although I am sure you will spend countless months moaning about the wrong that has been done to you, let me assure you that you will not do it here, and not at the detriment of this folder or it's posters. This folder is for discussion, and as you can not handle that I am asking you to leave. "Moderators are fully authorized to use their own discretion when dealing with any situation they encounter, and to mete out any penalties they see fit."
Zack Malibu Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Well, I apologise Zack, but Mad Dog here is determined to crush free opinion about TNA, and, you know, I'm A Journalist, into free speech and all that Opinion is one thing, but you have no backup on a lot of these "opinions". For instance, you confused Sonjay Dutt with Jerelle Clark earlier, and when I pointed it out, you said they were "all the same". To me, that's like Vince McMahon's thinking of how every Japanese guy on his roster is the same, etc. Also, where is your knowledge coming from of Sonjay being overrated. The guy has gotten rave reviews in CZW, IWA Mid South, and MLW BEFORE even appearing on TNA, so it's not like he's a guy who was all hype, no substance. Have you ever seen any of that work?

Yea- I may hate on TNA a lot but at least I try to sound coherent I can vouch for this one, trust me. Aren't you glad Douglas is going into an advisor role now, Bob, or am I still gonna have to hear the bashings over AIM?
bob_barron Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 If Shane Douglas doesn't take up too much airtime- I may let you off the hook. Instead I'll just continue dissing the Rangers.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Why can't they just take Douglas out back and shoot him already?
Zack Malibu Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Why can't they just take Douglas out back and shoot him already? It could, quite possibly, be due to the fact that even though his in-ring skills have greatly diminished, he still had enough presence and charisma to make the Raven program into the top one in TNA at the time. Not taking anything away from Raven, but just because he's viewed as the top face doesn't mean every heel he fights draws major heat. Douglas held up his end of that feud well, can still cut a good promo, and will be an asset as an advisor to someone who is lacking in the mic department (I'm guessing either Shane or Sabin).
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 That's the problem though...when I was watching yesterdays' show and the Sabin/Shane/Daniels match was on I mentioned to my friend how it was odd because all three cruisers were pretty good on the mic (with Daniels being awesome). There's no need to put those guys with Douglas for that reason...in fact...most of the people on TNA can cut a serviceable promo...even Styles was effective last night.

There's no need to put those guys with Douglas for that reason...in fact...most of the people on TNA can cut a serviceable promo...even Styles was effective last night. Another idea I had was that it could be a swerve. Douglas could set up Sabin (for example) by saying he'll be the new Franchise, with Sabin unsure of if he wants that moniker or not. Then have somebody new come in and attack him, fully turning Sabin face and setting him up in a nice feud. Kazarian, maybe? I wouldn't want it, but this could be the heel turn we've been waiting on.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 That's a real good idea. Kazarian would fit well into it since he started a heel turn a couple weeks ago then disapeared.
Zack Malibu Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 That's a real good idea. Kazarian would fit well into it since he started a heel turn a couple weeks ago then disapeared. It's definitely logical. I don't see Daniels playing a part in this storyline, since the most recent Observer I read mentioned TNA considering reforming Triple X, or at least the Daniels/Skipper duo.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Yeah...my friend told me about the Daniels Skipper plan. It's great for Skipper since he's better at just worrying about his big moves in a tag match than worrying about an actual match. Looks like Daniels is back to carrying Elix!!!
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Yeah Elix is much more suited for the tag division. Although the return of Triple X would mean the tag division is pretty heavy on heel teams. Doring/Roadkill, 3LK and AMW would be the only face teams in the division.
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 I dont know why they dont bring back The Maximos, The Briscoes, Backseat Boyz, etc. There are tons of great tag teams out there...hell, have TNA borrow from ROh and start having scramble matches
The Ghost of bps21 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 They usually only have AMW and then heel teams...so it's an improvement. I wonder how long they'll use Doring/Roadkill...people know who they are...but I was far more impressed with the Naturals.
Dangerous A Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Contracts are what did WCW in. No, it isn't. WCW stopped making money. That is what did WCW in.

I, for the life of me, can't tell you why the Briscoes and Backseats were never brought back.
Zack Malibu Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Doring/Roadkill 3LK AMW Triple X (or at least Daniels/Skipper, going by current plans) Diamond/Swinger Siaki/Ekmo The Naturals That's if they keep the Naturals, and if Siaki/Ekmo stay a full fledged team (which, IMO they should). It's pretty even to say the least.
bob_barron Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Yea- the Maximos suck now. But bring in Trent Acid for some shows- He'd get over quickly.
Guest TonyJaymzV1 Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 A team I think would get over HUGE in TNA is Chad and Dino. Their gimmick is a direct rip off from Jay and Silent Bob, but they do it so well.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Contracts are what did WCW in. No, it isn't. WCW stopped making money. That is what did WCW in. Yeah but it was the fact that they couldn't adjust people's pay at all to compensate for the lower income that did them in.
