King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 Celtics frikking suck this year. When Pierce sucks, the Celtics play at an Atlanta Hawks level. Too bad I still go tickets to see the Celtics in March (Against the Washington Wizards no less).
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2004 The Wallace to Dallas talks are off for now. Apparently, the Blazers don't want Tariq Abdul-Wahad, who is needed to make the contracts balance for a possible trade. It's on NBA.com.

Guest Redhawk Report post Posted January 20, 2004 Cincinnati's DerMarr Johnson is leading the Jam in scoring with 23.1 points per game. Geno Carlisle is the team's second-leading scorer with 22.9 points per game, including a blistering 54 percent (58-107) from three-point range. Jack Hartman has been grabbing a Rodman-esque 16.5 rebounds per game this season and Yuta Tabuse leads the team with 6.5 assist per game. What's the deal behind this? Is Johnson not on the Hawks roster anymore, or is he still under contract but the they're allowing him to play in the ABA? Is he a free agent? And if he's still on the Hawks, if he did something like get arrested or test positive for drugs, would he still be under the NBA's jurisdiction? Just wondering... Last year was apparently his last year under contract with the Hawks. He played for Phoenix in the preseason but was cut before the season started.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted January 21, 2004 Is Demarr Johnson the kid who nearly killed himself in a car wreck? Or am I thinking of someone else? Â So can anyone think of a better rookie class recently? This one's pretty insanely good all around, everyone from Lebron all the way down to Josh Howard has been shockingly productive. razazteca 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 That might be Jay Williams of the Bulls who had the motorcycle wreck a year ago.
ant_7000 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 Is Demarr Johnson the kid who nearly killed himself in a car wreck? Or am I thinking of someone else? Yes it is. He ended up with a broken neck. Im suprise he's not on a NBA team because he had a good summer league and preseason. I know Ripper is happy that Demarr is doing well eventhough its in the ABA. Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted January 22, 2004 This just in... Â Blazers send McInnis, Boumtje-Boumtje to Cleveland for Miles January 21, 2004 Â The Oregonian has learned the Blazers will hold a 3:30pm press conference today to announce they have traded Jeff McInnis and Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje to Cleveland for small forward Darius Miles. Â Miles, who is in his 4th season in the NBA, was the 3rd overall pick by the Clippers in the 2000 draft. Â An ultra-athletic swingman, Miles was averaging 8.9 ppg, 4.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 24.0 minutes per game in Cleveland. Â McInnis, who was recently demoted to the bench after the strong play of Derek Anderson, was reportedly in head coach Maurice Cheeks' doghouse after complaining about playing time. Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted January 22, 2004 Well....I'm not exactly sure how to feel about that. I...hm.. Well at least Portland has more practice cutting assholes, hopefully they can get him fully addicted to something by March as well. Â But yeah, seriously, does that really benefit anyone drastically? Mcinnis is solid and Boumtje-Boumtje has the same last name twice which is always fun but I'm not sure it really improves anything for anyone.
Cuban Linx 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2004 Portland should just give up and bring in every misfit they can find in the league. Get back Bonzi Wells, bring Lamar Odom in, i'm sure Stoudamire can smuggle him some weed wrapped in tin foil to convince him. Ricky Davis' selfish play would fit right in. Get Shawn Kemp and his 800 kids back on the roster. Dennis Rodman wants to play again? SIGN HIM UP! There already fucked, if they're going down they might as well go down in entertaining fashion. Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted January 23, 2004 Barry won in 97 I think, free throw line dunk clinched it for him. Â What the fucks with the Cavs seemingly sucking less when Lebron's ankle explodes? Boozer has been nuts sense then. Dear God, maybe there is hope. Â But yes, who picked the Bulls to make the playoffs? Everyone of you, hang your head in shame.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 I picked the Bulls and I guess they're gonna have to rebuild again. In an old Sporting News, it talked about a bunch of different trade situations (They were all BS) for Kobe and one of them was Tyson Chandler, Jamal Crawford and someone els for Kobe Bryant and Devean George. It's never gonna happen but for some reason I think it could work out on both sides. Think about how huge it would be if MJ's successor was playing in the United Center. Â I may be a crazy homer for thinking this but I think Paul Pierce might be, just might be a bit better than T-Mac. They both got about the same sized talent pool (Which is about as deep as a kiddie pool) yet the Cs are hovering around .500 and might be an #8 seed while the Magic are 20 games below .500. HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2004 Blount's stepping up as is McCarty and Ricky Davis so I think the C's have a slightly better talent pool then Orlando does *still shakes head at them trading Bo Outlaw*
Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted January 24, 2004 I've been saying forever that Marc Blount should be a PF because his body isn't built enough for C, since being moved to the PF position he's been basically an auto-matic double-double.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted January 24, 2004 I dunno, T-Mac does have Drew Gooden as a pretty good sidekick. Paul Pierce has...uh...well...Bill Russel used to be pretty good in the day I hear. Orlando's roster isn't nearly as bad as the Celts IMO. I'd say Paul may be a little better overall, even when he's not scoring, he's still a big factor, if Tracy isn't scoring, he tends to fade a little is all. ant_7000 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2004 I remember Brent Barry winning the dunk contest, he fucking did the Jordan from the free throw line dunk twice while wearing his warm up top and thats how he won. I understand why the NBA wanted to ax the dunk contest after that.
