I agree with pinjockey. There's no problem with Johnson's thread, as long as it's mainly used for discussions about games. But the big news stuff should have it's own topics. So yeah, I ruined a thread. Even the great ones ruin threads once in a while.

Over the course of an NBA season there are going to be many big stories that are not worth going through the one and only for and mixing in the normal goings on of the season.  Christ, if we had OaO threads for sports, there would only be five or six threads max.

Well I posted the story on the problems between Kobe and Shaq yesterday only to find out it was in that other thread I would never bother to read. I second the fact that there will be a lot of big stories coming out of the NBA this year that should probably get their own threads. And I don't even give too much of a shit about basketball. Besides I like starting threads because i am an ATTENTION WHORE!
