Well if you're are like me I bet that Jericho/RVD left you with alot of questions. Like first what was the point of Jericho's 10 minute title run? The belt was back on RVD at the end of the night and it did nothing for either guy or the IC belt.

And about Stone Cold. When he came out he said he couldn't change the ref's final call but, hasn't Stone Cold done that many times before like with the Booker/Xitan matches?

And if they wanted the match to be a steel cage match why didn't they just have as one to start with.

And this is a dumb one I know but, when was the last time a WWE cage match could be won with a pinfall most of the time it's get out of the cage to win.

Yeah I know I should know better then to ask these questions of WWE logic but, I just felt like venting that's all.

Since when does anything in WWE have a point?

Since never.

Recently, all cage matches have been either pinfall or escape.

First time I heard that rule was on a Sunday wrestling show in 1994 or 5...Tatanka vs. Lex Luger in a cage match.

Lex won by pinfall.

That's because two refs were arguing over the finish so he didn't reverse anyones call.

Because Austin didn't think anyone would interfere.

It's typical WWF booking where no one gets over.

Ummm.......

Rikishi's done a splash off the top of a cage before so I'd assume he could climb out.

I know this probably isn't the best place, but does anybody else find the escape rule just plain retarded? Ok, you and your opponent hate each other, a normal match can't contain the anger, so run away as fast as possible to win.

Yeah it's kind of a stupid stipulation but how else are they going to have a reason to do top of the cage spots?

Yeah I've been saying that for as long as I've been a wrestling fan. And it really messes up the flow of the match and makes you ask alot of questions.

Like why doesn't he just go out the door instead of climbing the cage? And then when someone climbs the cage they do it really slow alot of times.

It was just done to continue the Jericho/Austin feud.

There are way more better ways they could have done that.

There are better ways to do a lot of things. This is the WWE here.......

Ok, they give us 20 minutes of RVD/Jericho and do it without killing either one of them and you people have a thread bitching about it.

RVD/Jericho isn't exactly a scintillating matchup in the first place, so I don't see your point.

It beats MARK HENRY vs. ANYBODY or LANCE STORM GETS SQUASHED AGAIN or WANNABE NATURAL BORN THRILLERS GETS SQUASHED BY EVOLUTION.

So because of that, the lapses in logic that was pointed out the first post should be ignored, simply because it's RVD/Jericho, a matchup that was beaten to the ground a year ago?

OK.

I disagree with the bitching it didnt help either guy. Not everything has to help either guys. Allowing one of the best workers on your roster to get 20 minutes, and allowing him to win once so he's not squashed in the process doesn't strike me as bad booking.

And why wouldn't Stone Cold put the second fall in the cage? Its a fun thing to do, and he's supposed to be the more fun GM.

See, there you go, you could have posted that the first time instead of just bitching even more than the others. At least this is constructive.

It's very simple: Raw just wouldn't be Raw without a horribly contrived SWERVE~!

Ill agree with you there. They even swerve the simplest things...they pretend Bischoff is mad at Evolution when he comes out for no reason, except so he can SWERVE the announcers.

I blame Russo for this.

The REAL purpose was simply to set up the teams...and Make Team Bischoff look unbeatable.

The Match didn't hurt Jericho at ALL as the show left with Jericho perched on the cage bloody and grining looking at the chaos of the mess he instigated.

The whole Heel beatdown had that Horseman/War Game feel to it...The faces getting totally dominated as Steiner and Henry threw Booker, RVD and Dudleys all around the ring.

The title factor meant nothing as it will only give something else for Jericho to bitch about and that's a good thing.

It's not like the IC title means anything to anyone. Jericho, for all that has happened to him, is considered above it, and RVD has publicly stated that he doesn't care about it.

Jericho never said he wanted the title but just wanted to teach RVD a lesson and he did just that

Yeah, but that's why they now have the pin rule. Promotions began to realize that the escape rule was bad in hindsight, but it worked in some cases (small pussy heel v. macho face to blowoff the feud).

Now that they have the Hell in the Cell gimmick to use that type of heel/face dynamic, cage matches become a simple competition of "who escapes first".

*scrolls through thread quickly*

2 Title changes in one night...no big fuss need be made about the winning. It's just a cool thing- hell, it's a future trivia question. It's a simple oddity of a title reign. Demeaning to no one. And certainly not demeaning to the belt.
