On one side there's the reasonable kids who don't act like pricks about people who drink, smoke or fuck. On the other side are the assholes who give Straight Edge a bad name. My stance on the whole scene. Fuck that shit, I'm one for enjoying all of life's perks, which include drinking, smoking, drugs, caffeine, and sex.

To protect them from their weakminded submission to peer pressure by creating a clique of non-drinker/smoker/whatevers that they throw away all willpower to conform to instead? That seemed pretty obvious from the start. I'd agree. Group identity tends to be really important to the kind of people who'd seek it out in this way in the first place. I must be weird for trying to remember what I did last night. How foolish of me. Don't get angry, happy or excited, go to sleep, stay awake or eat food, then - your brain is constantly being altered by chemicals every second of every day. The tryptophan in a turkey sandwich is a chemical just as much as the THC in a joint. Sure, the latter's illegal, but that's both an unjust law and a whole other can of worms. And why would you want to remember what happened last night? You didn't even party.

Who is this Special K fellow? I've seen some ROH stuff, but never him. Well, its actually a group of kids. They're ravers, complete with glowsticks, baggy pants, and a happy fun fun attitude, until they get mauled by bigger guys. That's the thing though, I'm a raver with a very non-happyfun attitude. I've actually taken to going to local indie/scene kid events, because I'm almost like a badass at those things. They started tripping off of my clothes and I told them to back off before I snapped their scenester asses in half.

Once you can be comfortable with that knowledge, you'll be tons better off. You'll take more in stride, and people will like and respect you. I mean, I can understand getting mad at people who force their beliefs on you, but believe me, you're a lot better letting it slide.

Do these straight edge kids think that they're going to change everyone's minds or something? These are the same kids that go to parties just to hang out, and don't bother drinking. Don't fucking waste everyone's time. If there's a triple kegger going on, don't fucking show up and be like, "Oh, I'm not drinking." That's the equivalent of showing up at a restaurant, sitting down, and when the waitress comes over, saying, "Oh, nothing for me, I'm just here to hang out." It's a waste of fucking time.

I can respect if you're the designated driver, but the main purpose of going to parties is to get drunk. If there's a keg, don't go just to hang out. That's fucking stupid. Smacking someone's drink or cigarette or joint out of their hand is a party foul. Plain and simple.

They can't walk on their own and you have to talk to them nonstop so they don't pass out, then you've gotta get them to get up to your room without making too much noise, then you gotta worry about them puking everywhere. Much too much trouble. Shut up, I got into a drinking contest with the football team. And she was my current interest. Shut up.

He did swear and fuck girls and all that though. I was thankful for him because he could keep an eye on the parties while I sat out back with the keg and tried to hook up. That was fine with me but the next day the little fucker would always make me clean the house by myself. He would always say "you threw the party. I was just here."
