Jack_Bauer 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 Just in regards to the Low Ki thing... If anyone pulls out of a rather large match - up... then there will always be the rumour that they didn't want to job... even if it is totally not the case... That is all... In regards to that, Low Ki has LEFT Ring of Honor apparently.

Guest Dids Report post Posted November 2, 2003 Bryan Danielson for one doesn't fit the X Division spot style and two, I dont want to see his wrestling on my TV screen. Can I ask why? He's not spotty- but he's sure fun to watch- at least to me...
Jack_Bauer 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 Even though I love American Dragon, he ain't an X-Division guy.
syxx2001 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 He wrestles boring. Its all stiff kicks and shit. I dont mind watching a strong style match, but it is kinda boring as its all kicks and forearm shots. I watched the 2/3 falls match with Paul London and I dont see what the big deal is. And Ive already stated I dont like mat wrestling that much.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 Which is why many people here look down upon you, honestly. Different strokes for different folks, myself, and I can see where you'd say he's boring (as I have to FF through some of his matches to get away from the standard "feeling out" portion of a match). I've heard AmDrag was actually extremely spotty back in his TWA days, and even worked a few WWE Style matches for Velocity. That said, I hope it IS AmDrag, as TNA was going for a more high-impact, hard-hitting fast wrestling style with Sabin as champion as opposed to incredible amounts of high spots, and AmDrag can do that style easily. syxx2001 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 I dont care who looks down upon me. I prefer a spotfest over anything else.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 I guess the "X Division Styles" is putting no thought into matches and just doing numerous mindless spots, blowing 30% of them, but getting over for the 70% you hit.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 2, 2003 I think they need to sign AmDragon and push him hard as an X Division killer with his mat work.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 The thing about Danielson is that, while he doesn't fit into the X division style... I still think that with a fanbase of internet fans, and Mike Tenay putting over his style, he'd get over and have some good stuff with a lot of the guys. The problem isn't his style, it's the short match times given to everyone.

You guess so? That's what it's pimped as, because that's exactly what it is.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 It's not exactly what it is. TNA has had several great X division matches that weren't just spotfests. The problem is they usually decide to go back to the spotfests instead of developing the division as just a jr. heavyweight division.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 He could easily be the Dean Malenko of the division.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 That's a good analogy. My most vivid memories of the WCW cruiserweight division aren't Rey vs. Juvi or Psicosis...but Malenko trying to ground the highflyers. That's an angle that could write itself in TNA...and now that I think of it...they should give it to Collyer.
Michrome 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 Meh, he can't do it half as well as Danielson.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 True, but Danielson spends a lot of time away from the states. If TNA did use him he'd be in the Low-Ki boat. I think Low Ki has been on once in six months leading to this week.

Guest Markingout Report post Posted November 4, 2003 I hope its either Shocker or.... SUPER F'N DRAGON! I can only wish. It would be cool if it was Tony Mamaluke or Jason Cross though. Jimmy Rave? So many names.
syxx2001 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2003 I know Dragon is good, no doubt about it. He has talent. His talent is not something I like to see though.

It's a shame that syxx doesn't like actual scientific wrestling
Guest Joe Report post Posted November 4, 2003 Danielson is an amazing mat wrestler, something that you have to be a fan of in order to appreciate (otherwise it comes across as boring)...But I have to agree with the general feeling that Danielson doesn't fit in the X Division...Unless their goal is to change the X Division some, molding it into more wrestling based matches and not just spot fests, which would be a good idea and then Danielson would be a perfect addition...But if they're not doing that, then Danielson will simply not fit...
