CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2003 I have an ongoing knee problem for about 4 years now. I have to wear a kneebrace whenever I run or do volleyball. Yeah, I've got some shit called 'osgood's shlatters' or something in my left knee...messed up my knee pretty bad. Worst thing is, the 'doc' said it'd be gone in 6 months. Year and a half later, and I still can't play soccer for more than about...ooh...10 minutes without it starting up again. I wear a knee brace for it sometimes...doesn't do a damn bit of difference though which is annoying. That sucks. I didn't have to take any time off from sports, but I did end up quitting track and basketball from a result of it. The knee brace doesn't help at all? Maybe it's just the wrong type. Ever gone to a knee specialist?

Ever gone to a knee specialist? Well, I'm gonna go back to the doctor once school starts up again...if I'm going to the doctor, might as well skip a day off school at the same time ...but eventually I'm gonna have to get it sorted out with a specialist methinks. Thing is, despite not being the most athletic of people (by a LONG way), I haven't stopped sports like I was supposed to. An hour of soccer a week doesn't help the problem I guess. And I don't need a specialist to tell me I'm not helping my knee by playing on.
Guest Plushy Al Logan Report post Posted November 4, 2003 My right leg has been in pain since Aug '02. The doctors could not find out what it was. I also have a lump in my throat, it turns out I just had a bad infection. I cut my scrotum, and right leg really baldy while shaving.

Dogbert 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2003 I just got an IV out of my arm last Friday after having it in for 6 weeks. It was there to fight an infection I had in my finger after I had surgery on it to fix the bone, which I broke/made worse in football.
Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2003 Here's a list of my injuries 8 years old = Broken right ring finger (pee-wee basketball) 12 years old = Sprained left middle finger (a game of dodgeball gone awry) 16 years old = Broken right thumb, sprained right middle finger (falling down the stairs the day before Thanksgiving) 17 years old = Ingrown big toenails on both feet, infection leading to minor surgery where I had 3 needles stuck through each toe and my toenail unceremoniously yanked and shaven to proportions that are weird. There ya'll go. Also, I had some minor cuts from some backyard wrestling gone awry. So, advice to the backyarders out there, don't do it, and especially don't do it if your opponent proposes a 'Christmas Ornament Death Match'.
dutchse.cx 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2003 Broke my ring finger on my left hand once. Thought it was just jammed, so it went three days being broken and not wrapped or anything. And then I was less than cautious as far as healing it goes. Healed fine though. For the most part. I have this weird thing on my leg that I'm using some lotion to get rid of. Seems to be working, but before the lotion, my method for getting rid of it involved a scalpel, q-tips, rubbing alcohol and freaking my roommate out.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted November 6, 2003 I've dislocated, cracked, jammed, and sprained my fingers and thumbs more times than I can count. I've broken my nose a few times, had a few considerably bloody lacerations (no stitches, 2 scars), other than that, I've never broken a major bone, or sprained anything. Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2003 Osgood Shlatters. Good times for me to. King Cucaracha, it's 9 years later for me with it, and it still fucks me up sometimes. So don't expect it to go away completely. Not that I'm trying to hex on this or anything.
