But, But, But

WHO WOULD MAKE THE MATCHES!?!

The return of the Dream Match using the WWE fan poll. Yeah the polls are fixed but not everybody knows that.

Gee I dunno, maybe the writers would write like.. storylines.

Shit -

Wrestler A wants the belt that Wrestler B has. They fight.

Is a hell of a lot better than the current McMahonamania running wild.

WRESTLERS ON PPVS?!?!

Oh, you're one of those INTERNET fans. Go back to reading your dirt sheet you INTERNET fan. This is not 1989 any more, this isn't your Grandpa's rasslin, this is Sports Entertainment. Get your head out of the past and see that this is not about "good guys" and "bad guys" anymore, or "Wrestlers" and "Non-wrestlers" - the WWE doesn't want to insult your intelligence - that's why they have McMahon's in the mix.

But I'm talkin bout for PPV's - what the WWE could do in other areas is a whole different... other... area...

Er okay..

1. Less gimmick matches.

2. Eliminate run ins either completely or 99%

3. Have, you know, wrestlers on the PPV.

4. Really like the idea of title matches only being on PPV also.

Why fewer gimmick matches? If promoted right, they can be a valuable asset in increasing the buyrates. The key word is PROMOTED RIGHT- as in make them seem special and important. No random Hell in a Cell matches.

For example, TNA had never used a steel cage before, so when they announced they would it piqued interest. Do stuff like that.

The first and most important thing that I would do would be to get rid of the authority angles completely. Talk about a dead horse...

Eh, I wouldn't get rid of them COMPLETELY.

Just have it be like Jack Tunney was...and appear like once or twice a year like he did.

I say just have a board of directors, or a commission, or whatever made up of a bunch of old wrestlers. They set up a ranking system or something where, you know, wrestlers fight to be #1 contender and stuff... for the "special" feuds which go "outside" the rankings, then you have one of those old wrestlers from time-to-time represent the board/commission/whatever to set up the match. Of course, you can't have a random guy doing it - you would have to introduce them all at once and then reference them once-in-a-while.

Ah, my main problem. If the titles weren't defended on the T.V shows, then the T.V ratings would probably subsequentally drop, due to the matches becoming less important. Then, people wouldn't watch the T.V shows, so would have no motive to watch the PPV's. Not to mention the probability of the belt changing on a PPV goes up quite a bit in this era of shorter title reigns, meaning more predictable matches.

Ok, bear with me with this...

1) IMO they need to start from the top. The McMahon stuff isn't working...Vince just needs to swallow his pride and tone things down...not totally, because Vince can be valuable if used correctly(i.e in order to help someone get over, like he did Austin...only on a lesser scale)

2) Realise the competition's strengths, and play to them. Attitude was inspired by ECW's style, and it worked. Vince needs to realise where his fans are going...they're not dissappearing. They're watching the ROHs. The NWA:TNAs. The MLWs. Places with an alternative style of wrestling...so do what's worked in the past, and steal from them. Give guys who ROH fans would like as champ the belt. Give Eddie the chance. Give Rey a push. Let Ultimo, Spanky, Yang, Jericho, RVD, London, Tajiri etc a chance to shine.

3) Lower down the impact of hosses, but don't fire all of them, just the lesser ones. Guys like Rosey, Show and A-Train can be valuable, and will seem much more impressive if they're one in a handful their size, rather than one of a bunch of 20 giants.

4) Focus on the new guys, but don't bring them up too soon. La Res came up too soon. The Bashams were given the wrong kind of entry, and it's hurt them. Orlandon Jordan hasn't had time to develop. And Heidenriech isn't doing anyone any good. Let guys stay in OVW till they're 100% ready, and have a reason to be there.

5) Build the new crop now. Orton and Cena are the next stars...slowly build them. Use the older guard to put them over, and I mean really over. Vince has to state his authority over guys like Taker and HHH. DON'T TURN CENA YET!!! Keep them as they are, without any career altering moves for a while, and let the fans get to know and enjoy them, before turning them if neccessary.

I only mean the WORLD title - the secondary titles would be defended on TV (though those should be special occasions). It's not like the champion can't wrestle on the TV shows - infact, it would put a heightened importance on him and his title if he did.

They don't need to get rid of the authority figures, just not have them in every other skit. They should have the authority figure kick off the show by announcing the matches and then they shouldn't be seen more than one more time in the show.

They could actually make all titles be ppv only and then they can bring back the TV Title and that would help put over the younger guys.

Don't mock me Raza. Don't you mock me...

I have been saying this forever really, you know Mark Coleman and Mark Kerr would fit in the world of the Hoss. Also Quintin Jackson would be the perfect anti-hero that WWE desperately needs. The easy way to bring him in would be to run in a Jon Cena match and smack him around with the chain all the while calling him the Vanila Ice of rastling.

The majority of those who have left, just stopped watching (MILLIONS of fans) and turned to stuff like Survivor or Football or the indirect competition. There are a few thousand who have turned to the alternative of ROH, TNA (c'mon, ROH avg. maybe 700 per show and they are considered the "hottest" indy next to TNA - I dunno what the buyrates for TNA are or how many tapes RF sells of ROH, but I bet they are a very small % in relation to those who just stopped watching the WWE. )

That WCW audience just disappeared too.

Either that or have a ONE tweener GM on the show. Have them be a medium for the wrestlers and use somebody that the fans will accept in such role.

Obviously Austin would be terrible in the shoes of a guy who always listens to both sides and is reasonable. That's not who he is. Somebody like Heyman, Flair, Ace or even Arn Anderson would be good at that.

Fedor vs. Michael Cole - RRR dream match, punishment for Pound and Ground

Fedor vs HBK. That's my dream, right thurr.

*HBK comes down to his preaching, dancing and general fagging*

*Fedor comes down to the Russian National Anthem with no pyro or fanfare*

*Michaels dances around the ring and slaps Fedor.*

*Fedor punches Michaels in the face and knocks the dirty christian out cold*.

Comparing Wrestlemanias is somewhat interesting. People said it tanked because it was built on Vince/Hogan but the WM before was built on Rock/Hogan and did good.

It was the Vince, not the Hogan, that got people so angry.

Then Benoit comes down to the ring, and they get nose-to-nose...

Then Angle comes down head-bobbin around with his red, white, and blue on and get's in between them... Benoit and Fedor look at Angle, then look at each other, and smile and Benoit says "I know, never wrestled there once! I mean, on the tours sure, but in New Japan or All Japan? NEVER!" and Fedor laughs.
